- In this episode Saifedean talks to writer and head of business development at Unchained Capital Parker Lewis about his Gradually, Then Suddenly series. They start by discussing Parker’s career in traditional finance during the 2008 financial crisis, and how discovering Austrian economics and bitcoin helped him to truly understand the workings of global finance. They then talk about the arguments of some of Parker’s well-known articles on topics ranging from why bitcoin can’t be copied to why bitcoin isn’t too volatile to why bitcoin can’t be banned. In the Q&A Parker discusses rumours that he will run for mayor of Austin and whether hyperbitcoinization will lead to US dollar inflation.

Bitcoin's aphorism, "Don't trust, verify" has helped in leading me to find the truth in nutrition (LCHF + prolonged fasts), health, exercise, gov subsidies of corn and wheat, the scam of pharmaceutical industrial complex, the scam of universities, etc.

I recently started reading two pieces by mises. One on bureaucracy. Another on socialism and the problem of economic calculation. I very much recommend these. Havent started the big ones yet but gained some good insights from these shorter pieces

On sale.. bitcoin hasn't ever gone down.. well.. there was that one thing back in '13.
But otherwise it has stayed up for the past 12 years.. Only the price fluctuates.
I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $960,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
Having monitored my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $470k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market.

I'd love to hear you discuss gold and bitcoin with Peter Schiff or other prominent gold bugs/nocoiners that have yet to update their world views. It is unusual how the old world still clings onto gold without recognising the superiority of Bitcoin as hard money.

Patri friedman from seasteading would be cool too or both of them together. Would like to hear some more guests relevant to building citadels or otherwise creating jurisdictions where free market principles under a bitcoin standard can unfold. Also would be nice to have some jurisdictions where the people critical of covid policy, and people giving liberty a higher priority in general, can live together peacefully. How do you think liberty loving libertarian types could create jurisdictions? What is the way forward for freedom minded individuals?
