  • Saifedean is delighted to be offering a free introductory course on Austrian economics through Saylor.org, Michael Saylor’s free online university. In this Twitter Spaces discussion, Michael and Saifedean discuss the course content, how the Austrian School’s approach to economics differs from the mainstream, and why it is best to study economics in the Austrian tradition. They also discuss the incredibly successful model of Saylor.org. The platform has registered almost a million students, offers more than 100 courses, and is offering students a chance to complete a university degree for free.

    Hard to believe only 476 subs for Saifedean when he is one the most knowledgeable in the space

      Michael Saylor has always been a great guest and very articulate and took time to explain his point on every interview I heard but with him being the interviewer he is a little pushy in my opinion and sort of pressures the guest

    My high school teacher taught me austrian and keynesian economics in his AP macro course. I minored in economics in college but always felt something missing. 5 years later I bought my first bitcoin.

    Excellent interview Good Sir. I picked up my copy of BTC Standard at Chapters, and really enjoying it.
    I love how we get a solid foundation of Money before even talking about BTC.
    Thanks!

    I am 30 years old. I don't have a high or average salary. Actually, I am from one of the poor countries. I trusted the formal education system. But it failed me in so many directions.
    Now I'm so excited about everything your talk about. I wish I have this mindset 10 before ago. But this is an impossible wish. I think the best way to act is to learn and make myself up to the productive one of the members of the world.
    Thank you. I always see MIT or online lectures etc. You emphasize what is valuable in them. Millions will make world better places. ty.

    The point he made about MIT costing everything his entire family made since the 1700s was so hilarious. Same feeling for me - coming from a poor family and going to a 60k+ per year school now on the GI bill

    Anyone know what Michael means when he says "feedback loops"?

    • @Blablablarandomguy
      @Blablablarandomguy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      A affects B which in turn affects A. That's a basic feedback loop. The output is used as an input for future operations.

    We agree that the course is good. Okay, go ahead and buy some Bitcoin. That's basically where the "saylor degree" ends. I just gave you the cheat sheet.
