  • In this episode, Parker Lewis dives into why his bitcoin is not a hedge presentation was so successful, how he wrote Gradually, Then Suddenly, and the odds of bitcoin and the Dollar coexisting. He addresses common misconceptions, reflects on the evolution of his own writings about bitcoin, and explores why there’s nothing more American than bitcoin and nothing more un-American than the Dollar.

The presentation took off, because the content was great and it was really shareable.
Shareable, because it's a great Bitcoin pitch, but it's not someone ranting in their room with a block clock behind them. It's a real lecture and a respected format. More palatable for no coiners.
I shared it with two friends (no coiners) and I was talking about it with one of them. I explained many things, but when I brought up that there are only 21 million BTC and something like 50 million USD millionaires, I saw his eyes light up and a big smile on his face as he realized the asymmetry here. He was curious to learn more and bought the Bitcoin Standard audio book right there.
Seeing the light bulb turn on in someone you care about is one the greatest things. Thank you, Parker and Unchained!

That’s awesome. I’ve only ever been able to get a decent convo going with one or two people I know, but I’ve never witnessed the “light bulb moment” in anyone else. Maybe one day!

Agreed. The original presentation (from October 2023 I believe) where he’s using a projector screen is amazing. I’ve watched it at least 5 or 6 times now.

I think the point regarding Macro investors is very true... they focus on a single point and can't see the forest for the trees. This is true with many parts of the modern world, because it's too complex (doesn't need to be, shouldn't be) and there are too many abstraction layers.

How does Bitcoin appreciate in value to make it useable/useful to the global poor? Seems that BTC is running out of investors willing to continue stacking sats.
