I honestly didn’t know that was Jessica until the flashbacks started. To write her in as Amanda’s cousin and the reason how Amanda and Daniel met was actually pretty clever. Blew my mind away when I finally made that connection.
Yea sometimes i am lost when add characters until flashbacks are seen and then u have a clue why they was added unless u see speculations of the series anytime.

In my opinion It would be much better with fewer teenager squabbles and love affairs and more focusing on the movie(s) characters. I watched the first 4 episodes yesterday and at times I felt quite bored.

That international tournament, Barnes probably coming onboard with the Miyagi-Do Team to help teach, Chozen recovering and possibly teaching the secret Miyagi-Do techniques to the students that he used on Daniel, and maybe a trip to Korea where Cobra Kai started or a big confrontation with Kim Sun-Yung’s daughter. They still have a lot of room to work with

Cobra Kai is my favorite series of all time by far! The producers are so brilliant and keep the episodes fresh and entertaining while sticking to the Miyagi Universe while at the same time always aiming to please us fans! What a crazy time to be alive!
I'm glad we got to see Robin Lively this season.
She was better lookin' and wasn't annoying, like she was back in the days.
Im guessing they are adding past cast from the movies to the seasons when possible. alot of speculation happens where u think u might see anyone but scenes are cut as they say but can be added to any season anytime.

@@kenterminateddq5311 - But NOBODY likes that b s movie though. NOW on a side note, the villain from The Next Karate Kid - the Italian dude is 1 of the coolest people though. About 3-4 years ago he was interviewed by 1 of the TH-camrs and me and him chit chatted about other movies he was in. Having MORE villains, is good !!! Uncle Terry though is such a good guy.

I really like the symbolism they had in the series like with the ultrasound falling out, and how Silver got knocked out into the wall just like Mr. Miagi did to him when he was covered with paint. Then the shirts getting thrown at him like in KK3 after Daniel beats Barnes.

Season 5 is hands down the best season since 1. So many great laughs, great drama, great action, and every single scene Thomas Ian Griffith's Silver is in is incredible. Such a great actor and such a great villaiin.

Season 5 had some of the best karate choreography I've seen on TV in a very long time. The twist had me hanging for more at the end
Yea, seeing the fights are cool then u have the kids go at it and all the stuff they have learned go nuts was like Wow.

Ralph M is cool. My wife actually met him I think it was new York back in the 90's I believe. She actually has an autographed picture of him signed and all. It's in a really nice frame wrapped in plastic. And yes, still has it to this Day! They talked for a few, and said Ralph is the real deal. Down to earth, friendly guy!
Love the creators! They love the original Karate Kids trilogy that they brought back og storylines and characters!!

Loved how the three enemies of Daniel from the original three movies came together. And thankfully not to fight him but Silver.
BTW, although that Silver Bullet move was unethical--and could cause possibly some more damage than seen--it has a name that was too clever.
I wish Daniel would’ve gotten his revenge against Mike Barnes.

well , this show is fantastic, absolutely having a blast, love how the old character are respected and developed in interesting ways, excellent!! Chozen was incredible in season 5, loved it. (everybody was brilliant)
The way the story is taken from the old movies is pure pleasure, the writers for this show rally made a perfect work in terms of storytelling and character development.
I thought it was pretty clever how they brought Robin back and made her Amanda's cousin.

6:56 I wouldn't be surprised if the additional scenes not used were with Terry Silver in the hospital and/or speaking to physicians clearly speaking about his terminal illness.
There were so many allusions to him being close to dying the lasf two seasons, but them making it apparent might not make him seem as villainous in this season. Plus saving that info for later is a quick way to see things from his perspective, with enough breathing room to expand on in more episodes/scenes. These writers have a way of putting viewers on an emotional rollercoaster with just about every character.
Now were waiting for Julie to return
If you had told me when I was a kid that I would one day want Chozen to end up with Kumiko I would never have believed you 😂

This character arc of the 3 villains ally to help Daniel gave me the greatest sense of closure.

This season was fantastic! I actually liked it better than any season except for the first. There seemed to be a bit more focus on the adults this season and just a bit less teen melodrama. It was great to see Johnny's redemption arc nearing completion. Chosen was an amazing addition and added much comedy and action. It was fun to see Tory actually growing a bit as a person. It was fun to see Daniel's wife totally on-board. Too many fun things to mention this season. I hope next season we can see Daniel return to the thing that made him such a great character... Daniel's pure heart was what made him amazing. He wasn't the best fighter, he wasn't the smartest or the coolest, but he had an amazing amount of goodness and heart that elevated him. I'd like to see a big return to that side of him in the final season, and I'd like to see it happen "center stage", in front of all the other characters. That would be awesome! Also, I want to see Julie Pierce fight for Miyagi Do!

These actors are so giving of each other...no one trying to outshine the other...and so humble I might add...watched it with my wife,son and daughter and was totally blown away by the last episode...bravo! 👏👏👏
Always wanted to see Johnny v Mike. Got a glimpse of the Stone Cold Johnny v the Bad Boy. That scene became iconic in the moment. It was serious, surreal, and funny all at once. Chozen with those lines...instant classic.
Just imagine if Miyagi saved all 3 of them. The would of literally been the TMNT in real life.

I can't believe Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are in their late 50s! Ralph is turning 60? It's unbelievable but really it's amazing how good they look.
Can we just talk for a moment about that Kreese memory sequence where he faces the younger version of Johnny?
That was insane! I looked up the actor who played him and, though there are similarities, he’s not a doppelgänger. So, how did they make him look identical? Makeup? CGI? Deep fake?
The younger Johnny or younger kreese? Yes it was a great sequence… but Kreese still hates LaRusso , which isn’t fair. He should just admit that he wasn’t a good teacher/father figure to Johnny. and then when he stole his business , that was cold. Can’t wait to see what back from the dead Kreese does next.

I would like to see more karate from Barns. so I hope in the future of the series there will be an all wally karate tournament for old boys. where we will see Jhonny, Daniel, Chozen, Barns, Bobby, Vidal, Dutch, Silver and many others fighting for the trophy. the all wally old boys tournament.
I just figured out what was missing in Season 5. As fantastic a season as it was, it kept felt like it was missing something . I believe the Music score of The Karate Kid series is so underrated and indeed,what was missing is Season 5 was Bill Conti's epic score which has been in certain parts of Cobra Kai every season but 5. Also just the overall score of season 5 was lacking in comparison to other seasons. I don't believe this is on the writers, as I just saw that Columbia Pictures wanted a piece of the Cobra Kai Pie re-releasing the OSTs of the Original movies. I believe they didn't give the creators the Greenlight to use the original music as well. Tell me of someone else noticed this?
Ralph's accent for Daniel is so perfect, you don't even realize it's an accent until you hear him speaking normally.
To me, he sounds the same, but I'm not always the best at hearing accents. Does Daniel sound more Jersey or something?
Robyn Lively looked AMAZING! I had such a crush on her when KK3 came out. She did a great job too!

Hoping for Kreese & Silvers redemption arc if there’s a season 6
I thought Johnny was gonna die so I almost broke into tears then I thought Daniel was gonna die in the other episode and I almost broke into tears but when Showzen got cut I broke into tears
It was looking bad for everyone.., even Mike Barnes looked like he took a nasty hit on the head
Huge character development for johnyy when he was a friend when larusso charged in his apartment. Lol
Mike Barnes and Johnny should have team up to defeat the other Sensei not just Johnny getting most of the screen time
Barnes hasn’t kept up with karate though right? He stopped and owned/worked the furniture store. But from previews and photos he does eventually get back into a gi.

They confirmed season 6 without saying it , though, everybody already knows there will be a season 6. Netflix would have to have their brains checked if they didn't renew this for another season. Yah , not gonna happen.

During season 4 I was kinda getting over the show and thought they should end it soon before it jumps the shark, The ending of season 4 really saved that season from becoming a train wreck IMO but season 5 brought the show back like a bat out of hell, now I can’t wait for season 6 to come out
I remember when I first saw Ralph acting.I'm not sure if it was his first role or not, but I seen him in the TV Show called "Eight Is Enough" he played the nephew of the step mom,he was very young in that show but very likeable not to mention he was soooo cute and adorable 🤪😂 he was later on seen on the cover of Teen Beat Magazine & Tiger 🐅 Beat Magazine as a teenage heartthrob & teenage Idol 😁😜❤️❤️ long before he ever did The Karate Kid series & became a even bigger house hold name.I am happy & proud for him and what he's done & accomplished in his acting career.He seem's very happy with his wife and children and he seem's to have achieved whatever he set out to do,so good for him.🆒😎😝😂😛❤️❤️❤️
Outsiders was the first time i saw him. he was basically a nobody there because of the legendary cast around him.
The legacy characters aged like fine wine.
I was very skeptical and even apprehensive when it first came out as I noticed "the message" being inserted into pretty much everything on TV, I decided to give it a try and it brought back a lot of memories. I absolutely love the series, Johnny is my favorite character!

He ages very slowly. He was 23 in the first Karate Kid and looked 14. And when he was in My Cousin Vinny, he was around 33 and looked 18.

From the moment there was speculation that Mike Barnes would return, I was opposed to it. Vehemently! Like so many people, I assumed that he would be in cahoots with Silver. Alas, I was wrong and having Barnes return the way they did was brilliant!
