This season killed me, I almost started tearing up at the end of 8 with drunk Johnny "Come inside, come inside" and of course the Miguel paralysis fakeout at the tourney.
I completely teared up when Johnny says he loves Miguel but it turns out he's thinking of Robby, loved this season!

I agree, I feel for Miguel during that scene though I predicted already that it was Robby whom Johnny was referring to. But, I didn't know that Miguel faked it out, really thought that he was hurt. Now with his note, it make sense.
Peyton, Jacob and Tanner were amazing this season. Billy, Marty and Thomas etc too everyone smashed it. Such a good season wow.

Xolo and Tanner really did some amazing stuff this season. I love how much their characters are maturing, especially considering the adult figures in Robby and Miguel's lives seem to be doing the opposite :')
Xolo's demeanour this season was like "I've been through some shit and I'm just gonna mellow out" Its so relatable.

I was a bit disappointed that miguel wouldn't be competing in the finals. They still made the ending really good ,and captured the emotion really well.

I think it was smart of them to subvert our expectations because if Miguel had won, then the show wouldn’t have a reason to continue after season 4.
I was kind of glad that they didn't do the cliche' ending like most shows/movies do where the main character wins get tired of that same story all the time

I liked how Eli won cause he was like Miguel’s number 2. Miguel was Johnny’s very first student to win, and Eli was his second, even though he was taught by Daniel as well. Eli got to win by being himself, so that was even better, too.

I kinda expected Miguel would not win again because his acting after the sad moment when Sensei Lawrence was drunk and said Robby's name showed Miguel lost his motivation. Also that scene was right after Sam had a moment with Robby, and Robby rubbed in Miguel's face that his dad is only being a dad to him because Robby rejects Johnny.

I think Johnny did mean what he said towards Miguel though, just slipped and said Robbies name. I still think he wants to be a dad to both honestly.
Johnny abandoned Robby first, so Robby has every right to be made at him and not trust him because the few times he tried, he saw Johnny abandoning him again for Miguel.
Having Terry Silver back in the picture made this entire series just that much better. The man plays the ultimate villain even better than he did before.

My biggest lesson from Cobra Kai: everyone you hate may always has good thing inside them, forgiveness is sometimes key for everything good in life. They did Tory and Robby so well this season.
Tanner is right though lol. Robby has been beat down in Season 1, 2, 3, and now 4. He lost to Miguel in Season 1. He couldn’t follow his morals in Season 2. He lost his father figures in Season 3. And in Season 4, he fails his goal once more; he fails Kenny, and himself at the All Valley.
Edit: to clarify, yes I realize these are the stepping stones needed to put his character development in place.

I have a theory that Sam and tory will be friends and ACTUALLY team up under chozens new dojo and take down cobra kai, tory will leave cobra kai since kreese is not there and after finding out she won by silver buying the ref she didn't like that, I feel we will see Sam and tory vs Devon and the other girl in Cobra kai

I remember saying “they for sure paid off the ref” at the beginning of the tournament and then when I found out they did I was like “I actually predicted something in a show??” I was so proud🤣

@@markcianfarani8777 there were two places the ref cheated, the first was a missed point removal the second was where Sam hit tori before tori went out of play yet the ref didn't give the point. Also if tori had listened to silver instead of kreese there would have been more places.
I believe that now Hawk has MERGED with Eli to make a better, stronger, more confident Eli.
It's like personalities merging to become a new, better one.

I was happy with the results, but I felt bad that Robby lost again.
I'm happy that Tory and Eli is coming around this season but I'm sad that Robby, Sam, and Miguel loses. It's a conflicted result for sure
He better get a huge win over some extreme opponent in season 5.
Robby was the real winner. Robby rekindled his relationship with his dad.
I also wanted Robby to win but when it got to the point where miyagi do needed to win both finals and cobra Kai only needed to win one to win the whole tournament, my guess was that they was gonna have 1-1 a piece in the finals making cobra Kai the winner. That being said I think it was the best choice to make Tory beat Sam after everything she went through in her life. Eli needed that extra confidence booster after all the recent events happening prior to the tournament. As for Robby being a big fan of him, I didn’t want to see him lose in the end again but I was really shocked of the scene with him and Johnny and he finally let go of the anger he had for him. Which makes that moment more profitable than if he won a tournament. Robbys one of those guys that he doesn’t need a trophy to define he’s a champ

The scene with Robby and Johnny in the dojo at the end put a smile on my face, hopefully they can both find some peace.
I like to think, Miguel's injury during the tournament is an allegory on how he (felt) lost his balance, the Sensei that taught him, be with him, helped him to walk again and Miguel thought of him as a father didn't felt the same for him, so the foundation of who he was was broken just as if a pillar (spine) collapsed.
Now his roots are shattered and needs to find himself again, which funnily enough that beatdown of Silver on Johnny, while not being exactly as planned, served it's purpose which was to break the balance of his top student.
Johnny feels the same, he just doesn’t think Miguel needs to know that
The level of training really shows this season, those kids/young adults are really stepping it up! Loved the season, loved the emotion, loved all the twists!

Loved Jacobs growth as Eli and so glad I was wrong about him being a double agent. Before season 4 I fully believed he was going to be sending coded signals to Cobra Kai. Great growth for all characters and noe it makes sense why William Zebka posted the picgure in Mexico makes me believe that is the episode we find Miguel and Johnny stands up to Miguels dad because not knowing Miguel exists can make him do horrible things to his son. Cant wait release season 5 already

It wasn't my favourite season but it was the most intense feeling wise, it was different but i still couldn't stop watching. I hope they go for something different too in season 5. Unpredictability ain't bad at all. Suits me well.
The writers keeping us from a Robby win will only be so much more satisfying and exciting when it finally does happen.
I never thought silver would turn on kreese that was a shock i have a feeling mike Barnes will be in 5th season.
It was about time, Silver clashed with kreese so many times and one of them was stepping up at some point. Silver in this case.
Matt Barnes is definitely coming next season. Silver said " maybe I'll get an old friend or 2 " when kreese was getting arrested. Who else can he be talking about besides Matt Barnes

Silver’s transition is logical since he is the one with money and ego. For Kreese, it was always about vindication for all those years ago.
Robbie's arc is impressive man and is possibly closer to the template of a "hero's journey" than the rest of the cast, which is ironic.
He keeps coming back lol - character wise and in martial arts; hell, you could argue that HE kept this current version of Kai in the tourn by sharing what he learned from Daniel - He's carving a path for himself (through the rare positive influences like Daniel); and it seems he wants to throw away the anger/bitterness towards his dad possibly due to his own failed mentorship of Kenny; dude that's just growth 101. I would've been stoked to have played his character but I have no talent 🙃 lol but the actor shouldn't feel too bad coz Robbie's character has the best potential in the show. Well, depending on the writers 😅
Every time I start watching a new season of Cobra Kai I'm like: "No, this is lame." And every time I finish one I'm ripping my shirt of, climbing on the dinner table and screaming: "This is badass!"

dude the finale was crazycoocoobananapants amazing! I couldn't believe what I was watching during Eli and Robby's fight, it was so intense! Very cool that Eli got to win. This season really managed to exceed my expectations in so many ways by showing restraint earlier in the season with Terry Silver and toning down the earlier fights to build everything up, getting us primed for pure evil charm with Silver and giving us the best 1v1 fights in the entire show. Cannot wait for season 5!
Binged watched it last night! Definitely a season I'll be rewatching. Got goosebumps several times throughout the last couple episodes which means it was a dope ass season!

I’m into the show for the OG’s but these kids really do a great job. It could have easily been me tolerating the kids plot lines in between the original characters plot, but I’m totally invested in them. LOVE THIS SHOW!!

They've been filming in Puerto Rico so I'm assuming that stands in for Mexico. Season five is gonna have essentially four threads. Jonny (and Daniel/Robbie?) On the hunt for Miguel, Chozen training Miyagi Fang and the Kreese/Silver storyline. The ladies will get their own story, but I have no idea where that's going because they're all kind of at a fragile peace with Tory now in conflict.
I think Tory will tell someone/everyone about Silver & the Ref and she will leave CK and her and Sam will find some common ground and the rivalry will end. Both her & Robby were more influenced by Kreese than Silver and I think Silver has gone back to his "darkside"/PTSD induced madness and they won't like his style and ethics, much like Hawk didn't like Kreeses when he took over the CK dojo from Johnny. I think a lot of the younger characters will take over for a tournament if there is another one as the older kids are ageing out. Kenny is the new "bullied becomes the bully" and the next rivalry will be him & Anthony. Kreese seemed to be redeeming himself a bit, He manipulated Silver and used their past against him but he did seem to care for Johnny, Robby & Tory and even influenced Tory to play it her way in the fight & not cheat if she didn't want to (much the same as Daniel letting Sam fight her own way too). I think after KK2 and losing Johnny all those years made him realise how much he cares about him, he just has a weird way of showing his love to him by manipulating others (like Silver) to try win Johnny back, so s5 will be his redemption arc and also possibly him & Johnny making amends. I actually see him make amends with Daniel too at some point, maybe not to the point of hanging out but at least some respect and less animosity. Can't wait for Chozen's arc next season

Robby actually said the ending happened the way it was supposed to and it made sense because he was able to reconcile with his dad.
This is the second time I ever saw all 10 episodes of cobra Kai season 4, just like I did last year for season 3 on Netflix. Also, I honestly feel bad for John Kreese getting arrested for the accused in beating stingray, who Terry silver setting him 🆙 for good.

Martial Artist of season 4 Cobra Kai goes to.............Robby! He was bad ass from episode 4x1 on. Great bad boy, great villain, most sympathetic, most cold blooded and most caring. Great season for Robby.
It's actually really sad to see Robby being the runner up twice. He deserves a grand win after such great character development. Definitely would be great to see him win the Sekai Taikai
I'm 54 yo, saw the original Karate Kid movie as a kid in 1984 & Part 2 in 1986 , Parts 3 & 4 didn't care for them & forgot all about this series as I got older & more (boring) mature, but screw that! Cobra Kai has brought me back to my Happy youth! As Johny would say it "Kicks ASS", I've now seen all 4 Seasons in full & can't wait for Season 5 to begin! The story line is amazing, all the actors are superb in their roles & the Karate fights kick ASS!!! Thank You Cobra Kai for making me a happy kid at heart again!!!!!

I'm glad he didn't though. He knew Johnny really wanted him to win for Johnny's reasons.. Not for his. Makes sense since we see all of the kids finding their own way this season. With Hawk now Eli joining Miyago-Do, Miguel and Sam both embracing larger views of karate and finding what works for them from each school.

I think what Jacob said about plot armour was really interesting because actually no, they don’t, this show always does something unexpected but realistic (ish) like Miguel falling, Sam starting a fight she couldn’t finish, Robby going to juvie especially in finale’s it’s not done for fan service or to be unpredictable but almost to show us anything can happen
Except in season 5, Kenny has very thick plot armor, especially with his fight with Eli 🥲. Why they gotta do Eli like that 😫

I think the only thing that makes me less sense was that Miguel didn't stay at the end of the tournament, I mean even with all his conflict in his mind he still cares about the tournament, his two senseis, his partners and Sam, doesn't he?

I actually think that was very realistic.. it showed the rawness of being burnt out by more superficial means, theres way greater importance in life of understanding self rather then the means to win a competition for a plastic trophy. Heart and soul, self discovery are key components to living a very rich and balanced life. Miguel is a deep character. Very intrigued to see where the creators take him.
I’d say because if he didn’t leave when he did he could’ve missed the bus he wanted to take. It was like a now or never moment for Miguel.
I feel like that needs to be self insert moment like as a teenager could you envision yourself ignoring all the problems going on inside and physically fight for something you don't want, just to preserve already straining relationships?

bro this season was awesome so much character development and so much stories to open like Anthony and Kenny. The producers literally opened a new story and also great acting and this season was a BIG W
although Miguel’s character was a little weird like I don’t want to say his character was bad at the end but I just really wished they let him be in the finals but now it’s worth it bc we get to see the redemption or we get left on a cliff hanger for miguels journey next season and there’s so much more to talk about but wow great season

I’m so very very very disappointed and sad 😢😢😢 I finished season 4 already and now I just want more more more lol! Such an awesome season and so freaking stoked there’s going to be another one!! I hope this show goes on to do many more seasons please!!! This is the show we need now and forever 🥰🥰🥰

i was just watching this video and i was listening to the little spoilers that the cast were allowed to say, and when they immediately say ‘hawk dies in the first episode, cold start’ it just breaks my heart :( eli is my favorite character and i wasn’t expecting anyone to die at all, but eli?! damn i need some tissues for this next season, cant wait tho!
