Shackleton's crater, the furthermost-southern crater on our moon has long been hypothesised for its theorised water deposits. And in our huberis... we forgot to ask what lies under that?
Crater is on the lunar south pole, so not enough light reaches it to get any clear images, but if you send up a satellite (or lunar rover) and place it in a polar orbit (very difficult) we proabably could get some
Sorry mate but you looked at this from the wrong angle. This isn't a video trying to make it out to be spooky. It's the first video for a sci-fi series.
@@EdgarAllan2pointPoe Sci Fi? It's just the hole in the hole on the moon. They cover this stuff in school, man. Janus and the colonies and all that. Slept through most of it. 😉
Might not be all that special to us, but remember: this is fiction. Could be anything in there. We know the moon's a solid object, but it was hollow in the movie Moonfall. We know it's inanimate, but it seems to be alive in the series Local58. We know the "face" rock formation isn't an actual face, but in Final Fantasy 14, it is, and the mouth opens up to reveal a small stage welcoming visitors. The moon can be whatever we need it to be in fiction, and explained phenomena like the rectangle there can take on a different explanation in fiction.
good soup

Can't wait for this scenario to get enough content to become a Wendigoon vídeo.
omg fr
I wonder what it is, some sort of giant shroud to prevent observation from earth?
You can't see into the bottom of Shackleton or other polar craters from Earth.

This is so cool! I love it
Neat

The Will Be Darkness Again
I received a photo in February 👀
What the hell is this supposed to mean that's completely irrelevant
It's funny how the text on my shirt showed on the black censor bar. Like that was a part of the video.
Yeah yeah yeah, we've all seen the moon rectangle. "So spoooky-" shows something they teach in middle school 🙄

@@AppleIPie You know what I am dumb. I combined your initial comment with another one about light never hitting the lunar south pole.
