this may be a bit late but it could be because your card wasnt formatted correctly reformat your drive in this order
Capacity:
< 8gb
File system:
FAT32
Allocation unit size:
4096 bytes
if you cannot change you allocation size go into the windows disk management click the letter associated with your sd card and right click on (Primary Partition) click delete volume right click on unallocated click new simple volume
when you get into setup wizard make your simple volume size MB 8000 the assign it a letter you wont forget change file system to FAT32 and the allocation to 4096 and click finish.
do with this information what you can and i hope i helped at least one of you it may be hard to understand my writing so feel free to ask questions
really helpfull video !!! i follow all on the good way, but when i update display it goes 100% but after it says than private folder is too big. (3.3mb) and need at least 1mb....Somebodty else has this issue? i did it on ender 3 S1.

Hello, you know if any of the Bigretech brand motherboard is compatible with the CR-10 V3 2.5.2 motherboard. Creality's original motherboard is not available in my country, thank you!
i found that you have to use a smaller memory card, i first tried a 16gb card and kept having issues, after i switched to a 2gb card, the updates worked as they should, thanks for the video for re-assurance that i wasn't doing it wrong
You would seem to be the perfect person to do a video on the specific upgrade to Ender 3 max neo to get nozzle to 300C. This would require a recompile, rather than just loading the bin file. Can you help? Would we have to get to Marlin software? How to make sure all the parameters are set right for the 3 neo max printer?
One thing to note. These printers came with 3 different screen boards Dacai, Dwin, and TJC. If you have the TJC (like I do) you can't do any upgrades without changing out the screen.
What is your opinion on the MRiscoC display firmware?

Are there any new features like image of something you are going to print?
My experience was a little different, I found that there is no toll-free support phone number to call, you have to use chat support. I had 4 different incognito support chat windows open since the morning which extended passed 1 in the afternoon and all chats auto closed on me and asked me to leave an email instead. I am a cyber security person by day and I have to say their support is negatively impactful and you might as well have a brick for a printer WHEN it malfunctions. Great features and all but not if they don't work.

Wow, this got my Neo Max going again! I bought 3 Ender 3 Max Neo, and 2 of them have failed in less than 30 days. 1st one in a week, bad board and heating element, had to replace both but upgraded it with a sprite, didn't feel like sending back and waiting 30 day for refund. The second one, firmware problems, powering on it would just beep "alarm Mode and nothing on screen. Just did your update and works fine! Thanks! Now just need to level bed and z-offset and I'll be good to go!
Hope my other one doesn't crap out too, but probably to be safe, will do this update as well!
I have an issue with the CR touch 😢 the probe, randomly falls in middle of de 3D print, While the printer are working (It seems as if the probe wanted to do a leveling in the air) Then, the probe got stucks with the piece being printed
The probe was completely folded 🙁 what can i do?
Can reinstalling or updating the firmware be a solution?

followed the video after connecting the 4.2.7 board and its just ringing and stuck on the creality boot screen, the 1.4.1-c firmware didnt do anything and the sd card was formatted correctly. seems like not a single person has resolved this issue since they were released.
IMPORTANT - watch out!
There is a problem with recent 1.4.7_G update. I tried to flash it (running 1.4.1_G) and it doesn't work. I exactly reproduces the steps mentioned here and on the webpage of Creality. The motherboard doesn't update at all (no progress bar visible on the screen) and then the only way to make the printer work again is to re-update it to 1.4.1_G or earlier versions.
Do you know how to fix it maybe?

If the latest version has issues, then you need to wait for a newer version that has that bug fixed.

I'm encountering an issue with my 3D printer, the Ender 3 Creality Max Neo. The LCD screen on the printer isn't displaying anything, even though the firmware has been uploaded. Initially, the screen appeared a few times but then went blank again, and now it's completely off. Is there anyone who can provide a solution?

Does it matter what order you do this in? Meaning, could I update firmware on the board first and then the display, or does it need to be in the order you do it?
Hi, yes, you can install the firmware on the boarrd first and the display after.

If this is the case, then why in the video did you do the screen update first. Can you put a note up front stating to do this in the opposite order? Or, does it really matter?
I followed your earlier videos on compiling Marlin firmware. At appears there are no config files for Ender Max Neo on Marlin site. What could be a solution?
Hi,
there are no files because the Ender Max Neo's board is equipped with a GD microcontroller which is not supported by Marlin at the time. Please check this other video as we talk about this chip.

@@LucaThePupineer i got it! You only need to find the old filmware you previously had and rename the BIN file (e.g 123.bin). By doing that the printer will recognize it as if it was a “new” filmware and this error will dissapear

No the screen doesn't straight up. Seems like this issue is only me, it is brand knew straight out the box
OK. It appears that you can only format smaller SD cards to 4096. Card has to be 8GB or smaller. Its actually hard to get SD cards this small now. I have some on order, but won't be in for a while. Can I use a bigger SD card formatted at 8K?
Hi, never tried using a bigger memory card. As for the 4096, that's exactly what Creality recommends using. Other than that, it's just a matter of trying (at your own risk) ;)

Our cream display is stuck on the Creality screen. Will this help? Or is there something else we need to do?
Try to flash the firmware again. This normally helps.

if it has numbers at the bottem you have to start with the display update not the board
did all the steps made the allocation the required size and it still didnt take screen update. now i have a brick.. i followed your instructions and YUP> shoulda just left it alone. 1600 hours on this printer and its now boned. thanks for Ruining my printer. did 4096 put the files in did display NEVER TOOK LIKE OK MAY E IT WENT did the firmware and BRICK!
Hi, which firmware did you use? If you are using the latest version, try a previous version. If you followed the instructions correctly, it has to work.
I did my ender 3 v2 and it eas flawless. I watched 3 guys video. I chose the 1.41. it wont take anything now been working on it for 6 hours. Fat32 4096 unpacked tye v.1.4.1g.bin put the bin. For display i took the private folder and the bin and put im the root directory ... my main board is boned. It wont e en re take 1.2.2
Hell i even opened my board to make sure it was just a 4.2.2 . Its not a 4.2.2 c. Ohwell doesnt matter now.
you forget to say it has to be FAT32
and 4096 bytes
I followed this exactly, and neither the display nor the printer itself update with the files on the card.
make sure its the right printer firmware and that you're only copying the first two files for the display and the single file for the board. I had no problem upgrading the firmware by double checking everything.
Must be very perfect about the data card and being sure it’s formatted properly. Not just cleaned. Then be sure the only files on it are the ones needed.

Which firmware did you install? Try using a different firmware version.
OH flashing stock firmware with stock firmware..... Do we really need a video when creality has directions for this :(

am I the only one that this did not work for because I did every thing exactly like the guy in the vid.
