    New Camshaft Position Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ACP...
    For vehicles with electronically controlled timing, a camshaft position sensor relays important information to the computer to ensure the engine is running properly. A bad sensor may relay incorrect or no information, resulting in poor running conditions and trouble codes. This video shows you how to install a new camshaft position sensor in your 2009-2017 Chevy Traverse.

    Great break down of what needs to be done and how much but for the amount you did, I would have thought you would have done the front 2 sensors also. Just my take

    Great video. I have a 2010 Buick enclave with trouble codes p0008. Because the trouble code deals with timing I immediately park my car and it's been sitting for a few months. But after reading on car forums I learned the camshaft position sensor could be the issue. The car starts up runs fine drives normal but drives a little sluggish at times. Sometimes it drives normal when the check engine light is off. I hear no noises. Engine purrs like a kitty cat. So I'm hoping it's just the camshaft position sensors, and nothing major. Car only has 95,000 miles.

    I'm very new to the mechanic world... what was the purpose of taking that plastic cover off ?..... I didn't see a reason to mess with the power steering reservoir neither .... I just took that radiator hose a loose to be thorough... you have easier access to the two on that side without breaking them and replug.. I also had issues with 1 cam sensor underneath that reservoir bracket i just loosened it to give it flex to get my hands on it ...... not sure if this is the best way to do ... but it was for me my very first time ever doing this ....

    I can only imagine you are supporting the engine with a jack or something before removing the mount, right? Also removing the mount is not required if the firewall side sensor(s) are the suspect ones. Thank you for the video!

      not a mount ,torque strut

    • @10947792
      @10947792 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      i don't believe that is the main engine mount. that one keeps the engine from rocking back and forth as the engine accelerates / decelerates or you switch from reverse to drive. the engine will not fall or drop down.

      I believe they have to use the computer to recognize the new sensors are add up, something I don't see the mechanic mentioned.
