It was awesome to see this plane at State College over the weekend, it's a truly gorgeous model, great work!
Thank you. Def turned out better than I could have hoped for
So happy the Maiden went well. Didn’t realise it’s been two and half years. For a moment I thought it was going to be a dead stick landing, at least the clunk didn’t sick after the roll.
She looks fantastic and look forward to more videos of this bird. 🫡
Thanks. Not sure what else it could even be. We will see. Sucks there is only one way to test it
Nice job, I totally recognize the big exhale after the landing. I do the same thing. Beautiful plane and thanks for sharing every step of the build, can't wait to see it fly again!!!
Thank you. There is a recent dual flight

@@JustPlaneCrazy thanks for letting me know. That is such a beautiful plane, I truly hope it gives you years of great flying!!
Awesome job, congratulations! Engine sounds awesome, great choice of radio and accessories throughout. The S1 is my favorite airplane of all. The only thing I would add is a big 3-blade prop! Once incidences are correct a big Pitts usually maidens without major challenge. Lovely work.
Just freaking AWESOME! Great color scheme. Looks great in the air. God was watching over you when that engine re-started, I've seen a turbine do it but never a piston. Congrats.
Absolutely tremendous maiden !!!!!! So glad you were able to keep her running…Congrats
Oh so was I
Priceless flying and plane!
In my opinion the bigger Pitts models are the nicest looking planes in the sky..... and that color scheme is friggin awesome........ congrats on the maiden and at the 2.19min mark I bet you lost a rapid amount of weight when it appeared to dead stick so thankful it didnt.... greetings from down under and fly safe and take care of that girl.
lol. Yeah. I call it the butt pucker factor. It was plus 10. That’s the level where it sucks in ur underwear.
@@JustPlaneCrazy Can I say that the tune of the motor throughout the flight seemed a little rough.... this is the first vid of yours that I have watched (yes the pitts and the color was clickbait yum for me)..... I hope you get that roll cough sorted....... I have a great planes pitts with a 54cc motor in it and lets just say it was in need of a new plane behind the propeller when I got it.... I stripped it and fully rebuilt it and shes almost ready to go again but here down under any craft over 7kgs needs certification so I am waiting for nice weather to get her going... here is a vid of the wreck to richers in case you want to see my machine.... apologies for the intro... th-cam.com/video/LtDrTkFdTWU/w-d-xo.html
I don't think I've ever seen an rc start again in the air. Very nice!
Very interesting indeed
Incredible build man! You really went all out on this beautiful bird and it shows!
Well done sir👏 the adrenaline when the motor cut out had to be extra special lol
Butt pucker factor - plus 10
I wasn't even behind the sticks, but I think I crapped a little when the engine cut out. Congratulations on a successful maiden!!! Absolutely beautiful Pitts! Thank you for taking us through your journey.
Fly gliders, engine out is the whole idea.
@johnnichol9412 lol
The only time an engine out should worry you is when you are inverted 20' over the trees and 200 yards away. Part of your basic training, if you had any, is to practice dead stick landings. I would suggest you ditch your EDF which aren't jets and learn to fly using a trainer to become a reasonably proficient pilot. Electric is a good place to start as you can always apply power if your not on track for a safe dead stick landing.
I am confused 🤔 you saying that to me?
@@hayloft3834 I have been building and flying r/c for 50+ years. I taught myself how to fly with a sailplane. Sailplanes, nitro, 40% IMAC, and I also taught myself how to fly helicopters. But thank you for the "recommendation".
My goodness! What a stunner. Lovely build and phenomenal maiden flight.
Hats off to you, Sir.
Thanks for the kind words and watching. Share away
awesome plane very nice I built a 40 size ultimate a few years back an that feeling you get first time up an until your wheels are back on the ground is hard to replicate with anything else is exactly why I need to do another anyways thanks for sharing
Congratulations! Bet that felt good
Sooooooo good!
Oh my God what a plane!!! DUDE! And that engine sounds incredible even with the hiccups.
Right!!
Great maiden look forward to seeing it at the warbird and classic in Hagerstown end of month
Not sure I am going to make it this year. I will most likely be staying closer that weekend
Great build . Congratulations ❤🎉 great flight ! You should be proud of your build great looking. Enjoy! Flying something that you have put that much time into you get the pucker award.
lol for sure
Considering the Pitts is one of two of my very favorite bipes you crushed this. Challenges are part of modeling and you showed us what a box of sticks can become. There aren't many of us left that still do it. Congrats on your maiden, looking forward to so much more from this. P.S. it's always nice to see the hills of home in your videos, I hope to get back again some day. Keep it coming my friend!
Thanks for the kind words and watching
That turned out beautiful Brendan. Excellent maiden. I thought we were gonna see a dead stick landing. But somehow she refired up. Nice job bro 😊
Beautiful bird! You do an amazing job on these planes! Your experience with these kits, knowing what works and what doesn’t is priceless. It’s amazing how much is included in these kits that is crap and most of us don’t know any better. Ie your tail wheel. Thanks for sharing bro!
Thanks. There is a lot I learn along the way and share. School of hard knocks I guess. I like sharing so others don’t have similar issues. Like the tailwheel
Great job budski! It's been a long time coming, So happy the maiden went well!
18:28 Great looking Pitts Brendon, beautiful maiden flight. John from Hayden Idaho
Nice maiden! I was waiting to see your deadstick landing when the engine cut out. Amazing that it recovered as well as it did. Now you can breathe a little ... until the next flight!
That’s a very accurate description
Great job and building a kit is a wonderful feeling
It’s amazing
Well done! Congrats!
Well done my friend, we'll done!
Great looking Biplane your build came out nice and the flight still great good job😊👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
Love the color scheme.
Thank u
Congratulations 😊
Awesome flight!! Congrats on the maiden!!
Thank un
Congrats 🍾…a beautiful plane. Great work and can understand how much work it was👍👍👍, cheers from Munich🍺
Thanks for watching
Cool plane
Cool build, cool scheme.
Love the big Phewwwww once you had landed.
I was shaking so bad I lost the throttle stick a few times
@@JustPlaneCrazy yeah mate I know the feeling, my right thumb starts twitching which makes throttle and aileron control real interesting. You did very well.
@PeterOZ61 thanks for watching!
@@JustPlaneCrazy I know that feeling, as long as you can zoom in on the finals that is the main thing.
Hello, Just plane crasy, Nice video and nice decoration for the Pitts, the centering is 190mm behind the engine support bulkhead?
Your correct
Congratulations on the maiden. One suggestion: Please get yourself a DJI mic 2. I really wanted to hear what you were saying but it was almost impossible to hear you.
It’s not normally an issue. The engine on this for some reason drowned out the sound.
Does he have a Hoffmann in that airplane?
Sounds just like the real deal. There's one that flies over my house and sounds pretty close. Running a little fat
Yup. I will lean it out after the next tank gets runs through it
@@JustPlaneCrazy But what a nice flyer. And a beautiful job on the build 👏
Thank you. It’s special for sure
That engine is running a bit rich
Lean out that low end just a bit
I have 3 valach engines in my hanger ..great running engines
I agree. Do you use fuel pumps on any of them?
@@JustPlaneCrazy
Nope not on any of mine I have the 140/170 and a 210
The only ones that need pumps are the radials
Brenden, when did you do this?
Yesterday
Yesterday
@@JustPlaneCrazy Damn! I was over each day from Thursday thru Saturday. Glad it went well.
Great flight. But the motor just doesn’t sound right.
I run it a tad rich on the first couple flights. It will get leaned out.
@@JustPlaneCrazy that’s what I thinking when I heard it and was like hope it doesn’t cut out on you and then it did. Glad it started right back up.
sounds like the midrange is just a touch to rich
No doubt. I like a tad rich for the first few tanks. It def needs leaned
Yet another back to front mixed up build series!! What are you going to now upload the rest of the build and then how you covered and painted it? Why dont you just wait and show the complete build and then the maiden like everyone would do? Ridiculous
Your OCD is getting the best of you. Again, there is hundreds of hours of footage to go through. I wanna share what I can. Many big builds are done this way. Some people could also care less how it’s built. Some people only want to see a maiden vid. There are a lot of people out in the world that also have their own opinions and thoughts. It’s ok if they don’t line up with yours. Your both entitled to your own opinions as you wish
