Nice plane and nice maiden. Greetings from Norway🇧🇻
I lost my red Decathlon 120 a couple of weeks ago at our spring fly-in event in which we were having some crazy unpredictable wind that kept most everyone grounded. I decided to take a chance since I had just finally gotten my smoke system working and wanted to wow the crowd. Started taking off and of course a gust of wind lifted the plane way too early and trying to save it was futile and she crashed right at my feet! Luckily I loved this plane so much I had ordered a spare. 3 days later I was able to maiden it and it's much prettier brighter red than the first. Of course they are all out of stock currently so without that spare this never could have happened. When they come into stock or are at least backorderable I will order another spare for just the reason I love this beautiful plane that much!
Sorry to hear but awesome it didn’t shy you away. Get #2 going. I did the same. It’s a great plane
Extraordinary success always sir
The hobby is the same .
help support keep the spirit up
Awesome plane , plenty of power....💪
What a beautiful plane. I’m glad you were able to get a second one before they sold out. Not a huge big deal because this isn’t a scale competition but the 8KCAB did not have flaps. Neither did the 7KCAB Citabria - probably would have reduced the G limits on the wing, making it unsuitable for acro
Congrats on number 2! Your right, we all have at least one we cant be without. Seagull has some amazing models for sure and thats clearly one of them. Happy flying my friend.
Thanks bro. Happy flights
Great reMaiden buddy!
Good seeing you at Warbirds Over Gettysburg. Love the channel, keep the good stuff coming!
Ty and thanks for watching
Nice maiden! One of my favorite birds to see!
Thanks for watching and commenting 🤪😜😝
Great job! Awesome airplane. Hope you get the pitch issue worked out quickly so you can really start enjoying it. 😃👍
2nd flight it was fixed. A little expo adjustment.
nice plane, fond memories of that area, I used to live up the road in Sayre PA, flew out of Elmira NY
It’s a beautiful area for sure. Love it out here
Nice indeed, Maison said he like to fly it next week. Maison style lol🤣
I know that plane is an Arf, but i think it looks really good
It flys just as good. Amazing plane
Bro your the best in Rc I may have another project for you?? want to go threw another series of headaches?? let me know. Great Job bud!!
At this point I got so much to do already
Man I want one of those. My plan is to have (at least) 5 citabria/ decathlons from micro to giant scale. I have a 56", an 85", im building a 30" and plan to build a 15 ish inch rubber powered rc conversion (maybe). I just need a 100"+ to compete my goa,l and think that green seagull decathlon may be the one
That’s an awesome goal
I’ve got to ask because you have both but do you prefer the Decathlon or the Hanger 9 Cub? I’m thinking of a hanger 9 cub 60cc and squeezing an 85 DLE in it. Both would be similar builds but the Decathlon I suspect will have a bit more performance which is more my style. Just looking for some help deciding since you have experience with both.
Long story short. They are both made at the same place. I love the presence of the decath but it huge compared to the Xcub. So moving it is more difficult. The decath has amazing power with the da100 but it is shoehorned with zero extra space. The Xcub with the right engine choice like an 80 or 85 would be best cause it’s heavy. A single cyl of that size is usually hard on airframes.
Testing my new one in scotland this weekend, did you have any play in the aelirons,
No
Your home field is near Williamsport right? My wife recently started working in Muncy and I was curious if I could possibly come fly at your field sometime?
My field is located about 1 he from there in pillow/Herndon pa. The club in williamsport is called wings if williamsport and as long as there is another member there and you have ama stop in and say hello, fly
Just add a JM Fuel Can!
I have gotten ti the point that I don't fly a plane unless I have a replacement kit or 2 in storage. All my top flite giants and great planes stuff are all effectively collectors items because horizon sucks.
