I loved how you feel really strong even without a thrall. An amazing improvement from the last state of the game
It is quite a bit stronger than current build, but you really need to pick the right perks unless you are going to go with the OP(soon to be nerfed) summoned Demon Armor, Bow and Hammer. Imagine light armor that weighs 0.5 lbs in total, gives 1100 armor rating, +50% to both Strength and Agility Weapons, extra carry weight and bonus damage to your thralls, the only thing is it has a 1 hour timer that needs you to keep killing to keep refreshing the timer.
A big plus of these is rebounding after a raid. I'm a long time solo player and usually when you get raided you lose everything because you dont have the same production as a clan. Losing gear is not bad, but losing thralls was very time punitive.
Yea they said “we want you to feel like the hero” and it’s finally true after 4 years 😂
3 Light attacks, hold block, press attack again --- does a super ultra mega finisher and the damage is definitely worth the time spent ... it absolutely wrecks in pvp
If you do a 3 light combo followed by the special attack. It is swift and max damage without having to charge. Little katana secret that does amazing dmg in both pve and pvp.

I highly recommend the skelos master cultist set. While medium armor, it gives you a whopping +40% Agility weapon damage bonus. Light armor the best option is full black corsair, also +40%, however if you use the thaumaturgy table to illusion it, you will not be able to dye it.
All I can say is . . . . . Awesome stuff! I tried something similar but I didn't consider using light armour . . . . .Interesting

I actually decided to use the katana weapons as my main in my last playthrough. It was fun....until I got the sinners refuge bug where all the exiles disappeared and was replaced by a single green spider. And I farmed some awsome thralls outta that playthrough. Had to start over.

U can use Black Corsair set, it give +8%:)
Also boots and pants from bat boss give 5% dmg and 60! Hp
Now you just need Ki Pulsing and you can be a Nioh Ninjutsu Katana Bro.
With that build, (roughly, using skelos cultist master's armour and curved blade of the legion) I was able to kill the red mother in just under a minute, using no aloe pots. (some luck may have been involved)

Each point in agility boost agility weapon dmg by 5%. In short you should drop str to 10 and increase agi to 20 this way each attack get +25% dmg... Ill keep that i

Also the armor does not have reduced weight so he could do that in case reducing strength points reduce the stam regen
Sounds fun
if you put 20 points from 15 into agility instead of any str points, with this gear and weapon you gain about 10% base damage.
There are 4 strikes in a combo.
Combo finisher would do 10% less but the first 3 strikes would do 10% more damage each.
I haven't tested it in combat but my math says 20 agility > 15 agility + 10 str.
This also leads to more points available for expertise which is a better encumbrance attribute.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm theory crafting.

Head's up - Skelos Cultist Master armor gives an initial 6% Agility weapon (and follower damager) bonus per piece on all pieces. I almost immediately found a recipe off a sorcerer in testlive that teaches how to craft it - interested to see if that benefits from a T4 armorer
But the build doesn't use followers

Just me I love this game out of the 50 games I buy per year this is the game I just play . With that said Funcom needs to add The sim A.I To the tamed thralls. I know the reality but I’m still hopeful.
Can you make a warparty setup? 2 followers, i dont think it gives much for me when try. A figter and a sabratooth.
So what would an archery build look like. Seems you would need some Authority since a meat shield would be required. But how much and other than AGI would would other points go? Thanks.
Has the Katana had a silent nerf as seems a little weak to what it used to be, only got back into Conan again recently, and always enjoyed the katana
yes, they fixed the special dash attack hitting like 6 times if used at the end of combo
Is it possable to do this build so that it also incorporates the new double jump so it has more of a ninja feel?
The last perk in grit, "Steel Thewed", which says that you cannot take more than 25% of your maximum health in damage per hit, does anyone know whether those 25% are before or after further damage reduction provided by armour and the kind?

Also… not for nothing but Ninja and Samurai are sort of “opposite” force… Samurai serves a lord and at times oppress the people, Ninja are citizen warrior in full mask who fights against samurai and their oppressing lords… 😉

Call me boring but I'd love to see how easy or difficult it is to knock out thralls now. For instance in 2.8 (?), I go get Szeth's truncheon and if I get lucky an Advanced Blunt fitting. I do this early, well before level 30. Typically I only have the first perk in strength. Now I own any thrall, "super easy, barely an inconvenience". Is it still that easy in 3.0?
oh yea m8 super easy. you don't even need Szeth's. I've just been using blunt javelin. It's "tight." I should do a video on this. Ty for the idea.
Hello Firespark ! I hope you're feeling great. I have a question since i noticed the changes in the attributes and the disapearance of the Accuracy branch, do we still have skills that allow us to play as archer ? That was my favorite way to play the game and i'm quite worried
Agility is what you're looking for
Bows will be in agility weapon category so adding points in agility will be for archer builds.

what mode we should use on armor?
I'm confused on what build I should use anymore. I used to use always use a Max strength build putting out as much damage as possible while trying to also have as much health as possible.
Well, you can still play that sort of build. It's probably even better than before 3.0 due to the vitality changes and the additional points you can put into grit now.
i found a legendary katana with around 23 dmg if i remember right but with 100% armor penetration. Is that weapon recommended?
I don't remember where but my partner got me the Legendary Musashi's Black Blade from one of the boss drops (not a major one, just your average three skulls around the map). It has 60 Damage and 13%AP

imo katana is the best wep for pve not sure with pvp since i dont play pvp lol.. its outdamage every other wep with the right combo.. sadly without mods there only 2 version so u stuck with iron one until lvl 60
It swings side to side... that alone makes it better then all the other weapons to me lol. So many weapons, virtually all the agility ones as well, have awkward attack animations that let animals roll around them if you're not in a sweet spot.
Doesn't the katana do like a thousand or so damage and hit 8 or 10 times if you light attack 3 times and do the unsheath move? Thatd be a combo right? On xbox I was able to kill the spider boss in a minute or so blc of the combo damage it seems like it'd be even better in this new update.
I’m interested in doing a katana build I saw someone said it was control on pc to do the unsheathe move. Do you happen to know what it is on Xbox after the three light attacks? Literally never used the katana before 😂 seems fun though.

I think if you wait for the blade play a glint vfx you do more damage, but like pretty much everything on this game it requires testing
Would this work with a medium armor with reduced weight (-40%).
The Skelos Cultist Master seems too good to pass on. 40% agil weapon dmg, 50% follower dmg + good armor.
The light armor is only for reduce weight, because use the 10% penetration perk. You can choose the bow perk or increase the carrying with elixir. I have this build with heavy armor because I use the bow.
@@gammaray2260 as long as your weight is in the yellow you get the benefit right? I use elixir and applied weight reduction on the armor with kits.
i got a question, how does the game know which damage to apply, strength or agility? I don't think it's the weapon, assume the larger in stats would determine it.
Each weapon type primarily scales with either strength or agility. It states in the weapons stats which it scales with. IIRC it’s something like +5 per point in the primary stat and +.5 in the second stat. For example, a katana scales primarily with agility and 20 agility should provide something like 100 extra damage to the weapon.
Does fencer weapon fitting affect special (Ctrl) attack of katana?

seemed like katana used to have gimmick where if you do light attacks then finish with the special it did more damage than a full charge, did they take that out or was i imagining it the whole time
I think that was changed a while back, but don't quote me on that as I was never a big user of the katana except in mid game.
this still works at 3 and 4 light attacks

You have to have the Orb of Nergal. It's unlocked in Knowledge tab at level 45. It'll be the last hairstyle.

@@CZEmp9k Hes using the bun up style. It's on the nergal bench. One of the last 4-5 styles. You shouldnt need a DLC.

All depends on what you are fighting. Scorpion not much. Humanoids a lot.

And Funcom didn't fix the basic texture bug since October 2021 on Yamatai armor, great, nice, I'm full of anticipation about their update, how/what they will f*** up next.

No, there is no fast cast magic.
About all you can do is memorize the casting stone locations and hit them quickly. Doesn't change the cast time though.
@@papadoom Even then any hit breaks spellcasting so no matter how fast you cycle through unless you have a thrall tanking you won't be casting in combat and the are only maybe two or three spells that could be useful in combat and really only the lightning storm can do any real damage, and it can only be cast outdoors.

Nope, casting is very slow even if you do remember where things are.

I used the Black Corsair outfit cos it was the only thing available and it turns out it has +8 Agility damage so might have to put the illusion of samurai outfit once i get a bit more silk. Having fun with it so far. Will the samurai sword stumble the champion? *crosses fingers*

How to hide helm?
with the new sorcery table infuse the helmet you want hidden with what ive found a pair of earrings to be the best way to have your face as visable it can be.
Use fashionist mod.
All light attacks is not the way to do it, trust me. Do 3 lights, hold ctrl and press light again, it shreds things with that combo.

@@cosmicdjinn1743 Yeah, double jump is a grit perk now if I remember correctly. Might still be agility, but I think they moved it to grit as most movement perks and bonuses were moved there.

So is the Katana an Agility weapon or Strength weapon? Does it make any difference? EDIT: Second questions, you said bleeding was nerf? Can you elaborate on that as early game many of my characters depend on daggers.
katana is the strongest weapon... even without a build this thing kills everything in its way. Other Weapons should get buffed on katana niveau...
btw. you dont show the most deadly combo. 3x left click, hold ctrl until your char sheathe your weapon and press left click again. Most Enemys dont survive this.
Does agility still give armor?

@@Firespark81 Agility doesn't increase armor in 3.0, that was moved entirely to Grit. Agility raises Agility Weapon Damage and grants a small amount of Stamina, while Grit increases Armor and Stamina.
The skelos or whatever armor is amaziiiing for agility, and it has follower damage as a bonus.
They changed the survival bonus to agility bonus on skelos armor?
i didn't see an attribute for encumbrance, is that passive in 3.0 ?
@IronAce the strength attribute will give you small encumbrance increases about 1% per point roughly but expertise is what you want for larger increases to carry weight

Boosted server or official... anything is possible on boosted vs grind on official
Remember subs can see actions or tantrums on live and regret there adds after the creator got soft cause they can't answer like a adult.. Waiting for Conan to realize also..
All testing is done on default settings. This build is easily doable. Also not sure what you are talking about tantrums.
can you make strong build without followers?
Yes, now is better to make a build within thralls. +3 or 4 agility, +4 vitality (glutton for punishment perk), +1 or 2 strenght, +3 grit with katana. Another build is +4 strenght (crushing swings perk), +4 vitality (same perk), +3 grit and one handed axe, my player is inmortal with this build. Take a random follower for mislead bosses if you need heal you. I kill the red mother in 2 minutes with 20% lost health within thrall.

@@O-D-X Throwing this out there but; while you're right about ninja's not wielding Katanas (they were farmers mostly using improvised weapons because they didn't have access), the Samurai rarely if ever used their Katana, because it's more of an ornament than an actual weapon. Spears provided longer reach and rifles were often more used.
@@spartanseventyeight8673 100% agree, ninja is just a spy for the Daimyo(more often a commoner than a Samurai), and Samurai was really more of a social status than a class of warrior, just like the medieval knights were just wealthy nobles warriors. They weren't better warriors, just wealthier with better access to better equipment.
Years after release and we still have that ugly default Windows mouse cursor in the game. Very immersive.
This patch everything with 4 in vitality you can go whatever points you want for PvE, now making builds is so so easy, thats why people are doing builds now Btw, this isnt a good build if you dont know how to use the katana and if you dont know wich armor you can pick, obviously perks are the easier part

I misspoke. I was calling ninja in file names but Samurai makes more sense. It happens I often name things differently from what I call them in videos.
