My recommendation: - People of The Dragon (its not really medieval, its pre-medieval people dont get it, its Romanized Gaulic, Celtic, Germanic) - Blood & Sand They fit the Conan aesthetic perfectly, its barbaric. If you really like Katanas which have been nerfed & aren't all that impressive at all anymore get Seekers of The Dawn they get the earliest Iron Katanas possible but you get an European Kreigmesser-like Katana already in People of The Dragon too. Then after you get bored of the content in the Exiled Lands get: - Isle of Siptah (To start a new character there)
That was a nice trip on memorie lane. Brought back some nice building experiences i had with each DLC. Like always....thanks for the quality content. Much effort went in to it. Thank you!
Siptah is a good choice, and it's very nice having a second map to play on. There are very nice places on this island, i just started a new testlive run yesterday on it. I wish you lot pleasure discovering it.
@@Pixelcave not quite yet a favorite but seeing the vaulted ceiling for the Argos pack convinced me and a friend to buy it and build on that aesthetic. We bought all the same packs and am happy with our purchases so far. :)
Armor wise, split between khitan and turanian. Build wise, love both arena and frontier/picth. All are ofc worth it for me. Closing in on 5k hours and still looking forward to what comes next.
Frontier is great, I remember when we built our first little outpost with it. Also love the Pict armor, very unique. And the AoC armor sets in Blood and Sand are great for nostalgia - loved that game.
I would have a special request, if I may be so bold. That building you created to showcase different build styles and pieces looks quite awesome. Could you make a video tutorial of its build, please?
It never hurts to ask. No promises, but if we should make a tutorial (this would be a bit later down the line), do you have a preferred building set you would like to see it built with? Also, great to hear you like it - thanks!
@@Pixelcave Thank you. Use any building set that you like, it's mainly about the layout of the building - viewers (me included) can then replicate it with their favourite set or combination of sets. Thank you again, and fingers crossed.
Very well done, and thank you for taking the time for such a comprehensive video! However, I didn't see the bejewelled set on a male figure, from the Derketo pack. It is as different as the other fashions between male and female figures, and it is a beautiful look. Thank you though, especially for covering the building pieces with beautiful builds that you had done. There's truly so much you can make with the pieces they give you.
Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it and found it helpful. In regards to the Derketo set, since the video was quite comprehensive, we didn't go into every detail as it was already quite a lot to cover. You can find a dedicated Derketo armor showcase here: th-cam.com/video/GkgoaHNSLaA/w-d-xo.html (we did a video for every DLC if of interest).
Great presentation ! For my part i love them all, and wouldn't miss a single one. It's up to each to chose what fits, but if you like assets, and building, you can't go wrong when buying them. 😄
Thank you! Agree that having them all provides amazing options. Even if you don't like building pieces from one set too much, then you might love the placeables that come with it. We'll definitely miss the good ol' DLC packs! 😢
Correct, the Isle of Siptah is the only DLC that is not just cosmetic. Keep in mind that you can't travel between these maps currently (it worked in the past, but we don't know if it will ever come back). So it's usually a great purchase when you are a bit tired of the base game and want a new adventure, as it's separate. But it also includes 2 pretty cool building sets, Rhino mounts and armor that you can use in the Exiled Lands even if you don't play on Siptah. PS: You can get an extra 20% discount on the base game and all DLCs by using the code PIXELCAVE20 at link.xsolla.com/E6dFivTb (Steam only). Discounts apply even on sales prices and you support us as well. 😺
hiho Pixelcave-Team... first of all thank you for this great video as an overview of all DLC's... you must have had a lot of fun building the identical base in different styles... and definitely also a lot of time & Effort cost ;-) ... Very well done. Thumbs up. FunCom's idea of not making every DLC the same - in terms of the number of components and placeables - is in my opinion clever but also perfidious. As a collector, RPGer and master builder, I don't want to do without a single DLC anymore, because this way I can combine building styles individually. The only exception, however, is "Riddle of Steel". Nice, but not really enriching, especially since the 5 different helmets are bugged (allegedly every helmet has a bonus, but this is not counted) and unfortunately only add value visually - but it doesn't matter. I'm glad I own all the DLC's before update 3.0 comes out, which doesn't impress me that much. Anyway, very good job - keep up the good work. Have fun. Best wishes a bearded man & barbarian (called in german BärTiger Barbar ;-)
Thanks a lot for the kind feedback! Yes, it was quite an undertaking to create all the buildings (and come up with an ok demo design), as well as showcase all the other items. It's incredible how much content there is. We love to collect each and every of the DLCs, so hopefully the new store concept will still remain affordable for collectors/completionists. It looks like we'll get finally some more smaller placeables as well in future, which is awesome. Let's see what the final release brings.
very well packed video, however do i think a advantage is possible with Dlc's since a few items are slightly superior, Like the Bloodletter bow being just as good as Starmetal bow with only costing 12 Silk and 3 shaped Wood
Depending on the Tier of the DLC building set, you only have to have that corresponding Tier from the base game unlocked (Apprentice, Journeyman or Master Mason), no extra Knowledge points needed beyond that.
That's a bug, the balcony should be there but at the moment it's swapped with a piece from the other Sandstone Set that is currently not available. Hopefully getting fixed soon!
As someone who loves building and has all the Dlc, this video is bittersweet. Sweet because pixelcave does excellent videos that are a treat to watch but bitter because The nemedian DLC was probably the last culture pack we'll ever get now what with the Bazaar.
Thanks for this,it has made me put on hold by building project until i buy some of these DLC's (i'm waiting to upgrade to a new gen console) & your vid has helped decide which ones i want (most of them TBF) 😊👍
Great to hear it has been helpful! I'm sure you'll love the game on the new gen console - and the various DLC packs add really a great amount of new options when it comes to building.
They haven't made any new DLCs since we made this video, so I'd say no. I guess they want to fully focus on the Bazaar (in-game store) for cosmetics instead. It's a shame, I know, the DLCs were great.
No, owned DLC, Battle Pass and Bazaar items can be used on any server. The Public Beta Client is the only exception when it comes to Battle Pass and Bazaar items, as the systems are disabled on the Beta client, but even there you can still use all DLC content you own.
Glad this came across my feed. Almost needed a reminder of how much a ripoff the new Crom Coin system is. Old DLC system = tons of new building pieces, new coin system often = $20 for a single cabinet or rug.
if you play enough to finish the battle pass, you only ever need to buy one and then you can continue to get the rest of them for free from then on, very much worth it if you know you will finish it
I mean, technically speaking, the battle pass's price point is $10 now and will remain free for the remainder of the seasons as long as funcom doesn't stop being reasonable about it. You're basically paying the $10 for an ever-revolving DLC pack, that, as long as you're playing will continue to provide you with additional rewards. Frankly, I do wish that there were stretch goals beyond tier 60, I'm tier 51 already and I expect after I make it to 60 I'm going to get very bored of the challenges and there's literally nothing to do in the past, I do kind of wish we could get spare prom coins or like, a redemption ticket for a free bazaar item or something, because frankly, I'm not touching the bazaar, not at that price point. I'll put the 10 in for the pass because realistically eventually it will have been worth the same amount as one of the culture packs we have had in the past, but the bazaar's price points are truly that, bizarre.
Thanks for this, just bought the base game and was wondering if I should get the expack too as it's all on sale atm, so I picked up the Dragon DLC as my first venture into extra content though, it'll do for now I've never played any of it so the Isle of Siptah can wait .. I appreciate the wholesome reviews of each DLC though, definitely helped guide me. ❤🔥
That's fantastic, the building pieces of this pack are particularly nice. There will for sure be more sales in the future, so checking out one at a time is probably a good idea. Enjoy!
I wish they stayed with their old model, the new one is as scummy as it gets. You buy a different currency to obscure how much money you spent. This tactic is used by casinos and was adapted to games, so you spent more of your money without feeling how much you spent, and it works. Now everything is more expensive... you don't have to buy yes, but FOMO is a thing they want to milk this game as much as possible, this gives me a bad feeling about this game and their devs.
Just buy the first battle pass and never spend another dime, play it to get all the crom coins back, and then buy the next one for free, rinse and repeat. They'll see a large amount of investment as soon as the update came out and then it just drops to zero months down the line. If those of us with more sense try to keep our spending to a bare minimum, the company will eventually see that their prices are ridiculous and that the content is not worth it anymore and they will either decide to lower the prices of the items that exist now, bundle more items together to make it worth the price, or they'll just get salty and stop giving us crom coins in the battle pass so we at least have to spend the $10 the season on those. Either way, even if we end up having to spend more money done the line, I would say that it would be a worthwhile slap to the face to their greed and most likely a reality check.
