I agree with you on Ryan Reynolds, but I can think of a handful of actors who could've or could still play Wolverine. Their original choice was Dougray Scott, who I think would've been good. I also think Russel Crowe, Sean Penn, Karl Urban, Tom Hardy, Matthias Schoenarts, Henry Cavill, Joel Edgerton or Keanu Reeves could all pull it off, depending on when the movie was made.
You left a lot out: -Sigourney Weaver : Ripley -Bruce Willis: John McLane -Cristopher Waltz : Hans Landa -Ian Mckellen : Gandalf and Magneto -Alan Rickman: Snape and Hans Gruber -William Shatner: Captain Kirk -Leonard Nimoy: Spock Already said, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds as Wolverine and Deadpool And going to classical movies: -Charlton Heston: Ben Hur, Moises, Taylor (Planet of the Apes) -Everybody in Gone with the Wind
Yeah, Momoa was okay portraying Conan looks-wise, but surrounded by a truly awful movie in terms of plot / writing / dialogue etc., so if he ever had the chance to get close to Arnie's if the rest were better, we'll never know. The first Conan movie was a PERFECT action movie - even if it deviated from comic canon a little bit, it just captured perfectly the spirit of the thing.
What about Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? They had him in X-Men Origins Wolverine, made an actual comment from the comics that Deadpool was like him. So yeah, he really is the only guy for Deadpool.
I was expecting #1 to be Deadpool yeah. Many of the lines wouldn't work at all without Ryan delivering them, and I don't think either of the Deadpool movies (haven't seen the last one) would be nearly as successful without Ryan. Hell, the first one likely wouldn't even have been made without him.
@@archmage4ever saw the newest one Friday, and it was awesome! Would definitely go see it again. I was assuming they'd put him at #1 too. Out of all the movies I've seen in the 21st century, he's been the best actor for a role. Hell, if they didn't do that leaked video long ago, the movies would have never been made.
You can't tell whatculture that and expect them to acknowledge that irefutable fact, they are Disney's puppies after all and mentioning Depp in positive light is forbidden for Disney+s puppies. Poor souls - they are still hoping for Pirates of the Caribbean without him hahaha
Could a Florence Pugh starring M prequel set in the early Thatcher era with a younger less experienced (and first female) M steps into a role of unlimited power, paranoia and questionable morality and figuring out her place in both? Maybe with Jodie Comer as the villain/her(potentially more qualified) rival?
You can't tell whatculture that and expect them to acknowledge that irefutable fact, they are Disney's puppies after all and mentioning Depp in positive light is forbidden for Disney+s puppies. 🙄 Poor souls - they are still hoping for Pirates of the Caribbean without him hahaha
Bernard Lee is more deserving of mention; he looked the part as described by Ian Fleming in his original James Bond novels; and M was always presented in the books as a man. Honorable Mention- Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa (who he also created).
Rene Zellweger as Bridget Jones. Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump. In fact, there was talk of a sequel, but if was scrapped, because Hanks didn't want to do it.
An Ordell prequel show that creates an Elmore Leonard multiverse would be awesome. Maybe he has to form connections in 70's Harlan with Boyd & Raylan from Justified's dad?
I would have said Doug Bradley as the Hell Priest but I gotta say that Jamie kid was phenomenal in the newest hellraiser, Doug first Jamie close second
I think there is like 2 dozen actors that could play Ethan Hunt just as well as cruise. It it literally just a Copy past role, nothing special about it.
I’ve always held that Kurt Russell definitely could’ve played Han Solo just as well, but I totally agree that Harrison Ford is the only Indiana Jones we could and should ever have.
10- Ray Liotta, Bruce Willis, 9- Dame Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates. 8......Maybe Jim Carrey.... .7-Sylvester Stallone, Van Damme did similar with Universal Soldier. Wesley Snipes. THE ROCK could actually pull off the role GOOD ( no other roles he's done is good) 6- DENNIS QUAID (similar in many ways, and Dennis in Inner space is essentially Han solo and Vernon Wells is very much doing a Terminator like role as Mr Igoe) 5- Bruce Campbell, Mike Myers ( to a point) Ryan Reynolds. But who ended up in the roles did well-perfect, but these other actors/actress, COULD work. 4-Brendan Fraiser, John Travolta, Keanu Reeves. 3- Jamie Lee Curtis, Barbara Bach, Sigourney Weaver. (again who is known for the roles did well-perfect) 2- Karl Urban, Hugh Jackman ( if things went differently) Mel Gibson, 1-Bryan Cranston
I could list several idea here, but I'll cut to the chase: Why Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool wasn't at or near #1 is a mystery to me. He was essentially the exact same personality as Deadpool (I mean, you know... presumably minus the murder and mayhem...) before the movie role even EXISTED.
Ok...we all know you are (maybe) on Disney's paylist but it is disgraceful not to mention Johnny Depp as the only possible Captain Jack Sparrow 😝...You and your bosses still believe in Pirates of the Caribbean without Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow - good luck with that.🙄
The funny thing is Harrison Ford wasn't the original choice as Indiana Jones. The original choice was Tom Selleck. Speaking of such, no one but Selleck can play Magnum P. I., (the role that prevented Selleck from playing Indiana Jones).
He wasn't supposed to be Han Solo either. He was a carpenter on the set and was asked to jump in for a few lines so the actors could practice. The director ended up liking him so much they cast him as Han.
@@dhenderson1810 Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is an amazing portrayal of the Joker, in the world he lives in. It's like the Jokers coming of age story. You just don't see his wit and chaos against Batman's intelligence, tactician skills and physical power. Something that wouldn't be in a drama.

Wesley snipes blade
Captain American

Robert Downey is now Doctor Doom.
I’d watch Daniel Radcliffe as wolverine, could be terrible but I’d give him a shot
Yup. Wtf what that about!? Geesh WhatCulture! Get your lists up to date!
Robert Englund as Freddy Kruger

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, anything they play
I’ll give you John McLane & Hans Landa, but not Magneto. Fassbender was at least as good as McKellern in that role.
Capatain Jack Sparrow anybody?
not to mention that Sony brought JK Simmons back as Jameson in the Spider-Verse movies too
Keanu Reeves as John Wick.
Bruce Campbell he is so underrated always liked him.
Carl Weathers as Apollo Creed. Better example than anyone on this list.
Carrie Fisher was the perfect casting for Princess Leia. You simply can't imagine anyone else in the role. Rest in Peace, Carrie Fisher.
I agree 100%
Which is why they killed her off in the last film, rather than replace her halfway through, after Fisher died during filming.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is Conan the Barbarian

Stallone as Rambo. Judy Garland as Dorothy.
or best of all stallone as rocky
@@andysentertainmentcorner1421 This, absolutely.
Sigourney Weaver
as Ellen Ripley
Bruce Willis
as John McClane

Christopher Reeve as Superman,
Michael J Fox as Marty McFly,
Clint Eastwood as Harry Callahan.
Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett L. Brown.
Bill Murray in Lost in Translation and
Then entire cast of 1984 Ghostbusters
Ian McKellen is Gandalf
How Hugh Jackman can be left out?? Wolverine is something no-one else can play, more than 20 years and still no recast...

RDJ as Tony is also because he looks like the comic character too. 10:09
The entire cast of Princess Bride.
Good answer!
That's a damn fine answer bouy
Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley and Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man

Tom Hanks Forrest Gump
Ryan Reynolds IS Deadpool/Hugh Jackman IS the Wolverine, Keanu Reeves IS John Wick!
Burt Reynolds as the Bandit.

Matt damon as jason bourne?
Rene Zellweger as Bridget Jones.
Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump. In fact, there was talk of a sequel, but if was scrapped, because Hanks didn't want to do it.

Walton Goggins is another one that does singular performances. No one else could do Boyd like he did. He stole every scene he was in.
Two things:
1) Some of us care about Summer Glau's terminator, too
2) Nathan Fillion could play Indiana Jones
But in classic james bond movies, her background is different , like she have gown kids, first reboot, she didn't have any
Is this because she is a different person?

Audrey Tautou in Amélie

Hilarious to think that in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang RDJ played an actor who gets invited to a movie audition to push down a famous actors price.
I've always thought that except for the thinning hairline that Michael Keaton also nailed playing the CIA's Jim Angleton in the movie the Company.

I can't believe you forgot to mention Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine... or Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
WTF is that organ music in the background throughout this?!?! Omg! Fingernails on a chalkboard 😬
the Saw villain 100%, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Millie Bobby Brown could pull Off a young princess Leia
I would suggest Tommy Lee Jones as Agent K in the Men In Black franchise, but then came Josh Brolin in MIB 3 as a young Agent K.
Can't imagine anyone but Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry.

Christopher Lee was the one and only candidate for Saruman.
Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger.
Edward Norton in American History x.
Marlon Brando in godfather.
I always said that Jeffrey Dean Morgan could play a good alternate universe version of Tony Stark
John Malkovich as John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich
