    As shown in 9:15 'collect' node is not available in Houdini 19.5.534. May I know any alternate step for that?

      Create the shader inside a Material Builder node and it should have the equivalent of that. I was using 534 for this project I believe.

      @@mnymanVFX Ohh lol, I just realized I deleted all the existing nodes inside material builder and was trying to create new one from scratch and it doesn't exist in node list I feel so dumb now. Thanks for response though

    Hey @Mats, great tutorial here! thank you for sharing!
    I'm having trouble trying to reproduce the shader for the volume, everytime I try to render the volume AOVs I get black frames (only the volume related aovs, all others work). Everything else works. I'm on H20 . Your files for the second and third installments in this series are missing from gumroad.
    I tried to copy every step for the shader/rendering setup 3 times now, but something must be missing. Since you copy and paste the material builder in the video, my hunch is some info is not there. Can you help? I'd love to finish and bring this to Nuke. Thanks!

      Same problem and i have another one with tha particles pscale attribute. As soon as i define it - waht ever the value - the particles do not appear anymore in Karma CPU render. Maybe it has to do with the VEX material builder ? Seems that @Mats use the older material builder

      found the problem for the pscale… my bad. I wasn’t saving it from the attribdelete node due to a spelling error.

      Make sure you are in the LOPs context. Create a LOP Network node at geo level and dive inside there.

    Would you like to ask how to read particle colors with RS rendering?

    • @mnymanVFX
      @mnymanVFX  ปีที่แล้ว

      Inside of an RS Material Builder you can create an RS User Data Vector or a RS Point Attribute node and put "Cd" in the name field to bring in the colour attribute.
