I lucked out when I first started selling clothes after seeing your videos. I found Daily Refinements inventory video and have been using it since. I’ve gotten compliments on how organized and easy it is to find an item. Thanks KayWay!
I love this. Definitely trying the bin system. I have clear plastic shelves but they dont have enough space so i keep having to buy more or end up with a folded pile. Also didnt know how to turn on the skew function. Thank you!
the box system does seem much better to me, but right now I'm using the bins since i usually don't have more than 300 listings. I do a reusable bag system for the bins so I take the item out of the bag to ship it and then put my new listing in the old bag so I know there is a space open for it in the bin.
@@joecamerer2865 I like it! Yes, I think with that many listings the bin system is perfect. Once you get over 500 or so, that’s when the box system really works better
I use a Z rack system with skus on space saving hangers. Pros:No clear bags, if a customer has a question it’s easy to answer, listing is fast. Cons: takes up more space than a bin/box system and shipping is a little slower.
@@kaywayshop It’s really good for running out of a storage unit. All the inventory rolls. I just expanded into a 10x25 unit took an hour to move my operation. I’m small though only about 400 listings.
Can you share your inventory spreadsheet? Do you delete the item from that sheet once it is sold then copy and paste the item to your Profit/Loss spreadsheet? Thank you.
@@susannekatya I actually just posted a spreadsheet video here on TH-cam yesterday. The spreadsheet I suggest using is Jason Hayes spreadsheet. It’s great for keeping track of inventory and sales. The link with my discount code is linked in yesterday’s video too.
Thank you for the video, very well explained/shown . One question you said your custom skus came from back in the day of your Amazon days. Any reason why you stopped , I see/hear some good things about amazon. I am assuming you make more selling clothes ?
Thanks for all of your great content! Do you find that 10x13 poly mailers handle all of your types of clothing? Also, is your storage area temperature controlled? I'm expanding into using my non temp controlled shed, but worry about mold if kept in plastic bags.
We are moving ours to a temp controlled storage unit soon. But we stored them in bags within bins for years with no issues. We live in FL also so it’s quite humid
Interesting my boxes are bagged but my bin system are just tossed in. Usually bigger items jeans, shackets, etc Ill bin or shoes. Also why reuse numbers in bins you can just keep going up to AQ9999? As long as the next number is highest in the box I'm assuming AQ1 would be at the bottom. Also you wouldnt need to shift over all your boxes to refill the gaps as each bin just need to be filled out. So you might have AQ30 31 32 33 to fill it then go to to AR24 25 to fill the next. Also ever have smell from bagged item? I'm only up to 800s bagging items but some of the lower numbers Ill open and they have little funk plastic smell. They were not put away wet or any other issue. Noticing it more with zip lock type of bag over the peel and seal ones.
You could do that with bins, but as you pull items it’s inevitable that they will get out of order. This is because you have 4 rows of items. So you will still have to load and reload them over time. We don’t smell the items that are bagged before they are shipped, because they are still sealed. But I haven’t had a customer complain about that type of smell. I’ve been using these bags since 2018. Appreciate the questions! 😁
im at 4k and will never do boxes. I use a bin method but way more efficient than the one this dude explained. I re-use the plastic bags and tape them with a small piece of clear packing tape. Allows the bag to breath and faster than trying to close a zip lock. just cut to open, and next listing already has a bag with a recycled stock number, easier to remember and type 4 digit numbers in my opinion. Makes the problem of "reloading" much simpler.

Love it! Starting with an inventory system in the beginning saves you a ton of time later 😄

I love this. If I had the room I’d definitely do this system too

Where do you find the plastic you package each item in?

Do you put your shoes in this system too or do you have something different you do for them
Hi by any chance do you know how to add the sku number on ebay now with the new update on the page ?
What are the measurements of the boxes please?
If you go to my linktree in the description the boxes with exact measurements are listed there
Thank you for the video, very well explained/shown .
One question you said your custom skus came from back in the day of your Amazon days. Any reason why you stopped , I see/hear some good things about amazon. I am assuming you make more selling clothes ?
The SKU labels came from Amazon days. We used to sell books on Amazon. Did that for about 3 months. Just wasn’t profitable for us

@@kaywayshop great, appreciate the feedback!
Okay so I have a Jayden label printer and my computer is an IMac it does not let me load the Jayden 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for the shoutout 😏
So you re labeled all your older inventory with the number system? How long did that take you and any advice on doing that?
I’m in the process of relabeling now. For 2300 listings it will take about 5-7 days. I work on it for about 3 hours per day
@@kaywayshop Thank you
Are you using the same bags for storing the product in the boxes you were/are using in the tote system?
What size are the boxes and where did you get them
They are linked in the description of the video
