Just a suggestion for people watching this video, when my husband and I was selling shoes we used either goo gone to remove the marker from the shoes (sometimes goo gone is too harsh on some materials) but even hand sanitizer will sometimes do the trick!
I use nail polish remover (acetone) cheap alternative and have never had an issue with anything getting damage. Paint on leather soles sometimes comes up a bit but to me a little discoloration is better than thrift store markings.

Great video. I love seeing other sellers systems. Photographing the inventory numbers is genius. I do both and sometimes I notice an enter the wrong number and the photo saves the day. I use to have plastics drawers. They were a nightmare to deal with! So box/bin as you have is the best. For me I’d shave of a few steps to save time like measuring and packaging while the clothes are being photographed and then package number it so you don’t have to go back and fuss with the item again. And also my ocd is saying just get the sold items and package it instead of writing and erasing and just put certain numbers in a certain boxes and save the fuss amalgamating all the time lol. 😃 Hello ! I have been enjoying your content and demeanor for a couple years now, and want to thank you for sharing and especially your kindness. I started in 2022 in my home and have now moved to coshare a studio space with my husband. Its time for a system lol🤣. I store inventory in covered Plastic totes and organize by "type": jeans, tee shirts, dresses, long sleeved dresses ect.. ( But i need a sku system * I wonder if you based "type'" in certain Lettered boxes OR if it is a random storage based on your daily hauls? For Example: So if you haul 2 jeans, 1 blouse , one swimsuit... do they all just fall into the next Letter/number ? This is the part I could use a little help on? How I can try and organize based on clothing type? Thanks in advance for your help and continued online teaching and sharing presence💞
Thanks for the great walk through and ideas - with the clear bags you buy off Amazon are you getting the smallest size 6 by 9 ass per the link or a larger size or a variety? Thanks in advance.
I have subscribed! You are so organized. My only concern is why do you carry so much inventory? I question having that much investment and having old stock. I personally limit myself to 3 racks of clothes. But, you are brilliantly organized and definitely must organize myself better. Hi Marita, I recently discovered your channel and you have quickly become one of my favorites! You have a great eye for fashion and I love the way you explain things. Would you be able to share how you do your shipping? Thank you for all of your wonderful videos, they have been so helpful.😊
Thank you so much Julie! That means a lot to me! I could definitely make a video soon walking through my shipping if that's something you'd be interested in. Thank you for watching! ❤️🥰
I love when others share their processes. Always good ideas. I'm wondering if you get many requests for waist and/or hip measurements when selling dresses?? I provide those measurements but maybe I don't need to. Just curious what your experience has been. Thank you!
Same here! I love anything to do with organization and systems! I personally haven't had any issues with just providing pit2pit and length measurements when it comes to dresses.❤️
Thank you for your videos! I've been really enjoying then. I've been interested in switching from my current automation sharing tool to Prime Lister. Just a question for you... do you run it all day long or just for a few hours. My current tool only let's me share up to 8,000 times. So I usually run out for only a few hours per day. Thank you!
Hey! Thank you for watching! I have mine set to share my closet 3 times a day which is around 8k shares. But with PrimeLister it's cloud based so unlike PosherVA you don't have to leave your computer up and running in order for it to continue to share your closet. You set up your actions in the beginning and then every day it just works in the background for you without you having to do anything. Hope that helps. ❤️
Maybe I missed this but where did you get the boxes that you store your inventory? Thanks for sharing. You are such a natural on video. Keep up the good work 🎉
I actually just ordered them off Amazon. I love them! I have them linked in my video description. Thank you so much and thank you for watching! I've been enjoying your channel too!🥰❤️
Thank you so much Marita for this wonderful and informative video. You’re awesome! 😎 You did a great job! Where did you purchase your boxes on your shelf and shelf itself? Ty :)😊
My pleasure to watch your video. Can you tell me Marita where I can find the Royal blue dress with flowers you were preparing in your video. I cannot seem to find it in your Poshmark closet? Ty
Great system and thank you for sharing. I am just starting so my inventory is low, but I hope to start some growth. Any suggestions for a newbie? Thanks in advance!
Hey! Thank you for watching! If you don't already even if you have a low number of items I would definitely decide on what inventory system works for you and your space and pick one that you can grow with. Once you have a high volume of inventory it's very time consuming and hard to pivot to a new inventory system that's more conducive for more items. As for growing when I got started I was putting back a lot if not all of my profits back into buying more inventory to grow my business until it got to the point that I just wanted to sustain it. Also, make sure you're taking your time at the thrift store and looking up your items before you invest your money into them. Wishing you all the best luck! ❤️🤞🥰
Thanks so much for sharing! Do your lights with the filters help eliminate your shadow on your item when the light is behind you? Also, I keep in a google sheet how much I paid for each item, so I know my profit margins. Do you just do an average for all items in a haul?
I keep all my items sealed in those bags so it prevents moths and pests from getting in. Once I'm home from the store I either have my items bagged that day or the next so they're only hung up for a day or less. Thank you for watching! ❤️😊
Hey! No I actually ship my shoes in oversized poly mailers. When I ship out clothes I only weigh them when it's shipping time and that's only if it's a sale through eBay.❤️😊
Hi , new to your channel one question do you keep item in the bag the way it is to ship? I have seen many videos where they take them out of bag and wrap in tissue paper not sure if that’s so they can keep recycling the bag. Going to try this system btw, I’m a hot mess over here!😅
Hey! Sorry for the late response. I store the items in the inventory bags and then I shop them out in the same bags. I think it looks professional and also gives an extra layer of protection. ❤️
Thanks for taking the time to watch it! I bought my steamer off Amazon and have it linked in my video description. I ship my shoes out typically in poly mailers but if they're larger I ship them in large polymailers. 😊❤️
@@ThriftandThriveMarita I went to your affiliate Amazon link for the steamer and it appears that that one is no longer available. You may want to update your affiliate link :) Thanks again
Promoted closet is a waste of money. I paid for several weeks and I either made nothing from it some weeks or barely paid for itself when I did make sales from it. The only way I'm staying consistent these days is crossposting. Some weeks posh likes me and sometimes not. It took time to get the ball rolling on ebay because noone wants to buy from a new account without feedback. Once it got up and running it's been better than posh.
Hey! I don't weigh my items until it's time to ship them out. When I enter in the weight for my listings I typically just guess how much it will weigh and normally I'm not far off. As for shoes in my listing I charge all shoes under the price for a padded flat rate envelope. 😊❤️
Just a suggestion for people watching this video, when my husband and I was selling shoes we used either goo gone to remove the marker from the shoes (sometimes goo gone is too harsh on some materials) but even hand sanitizer will sometimes do the trick!

Where do you list the SKU number on Poshmark or on Depop if you are familiar?
Where do you buy those plastic bags????!!! Wow! I should do that from now on! 💕❤️💓🎉🎊🥳😊
I buy them off of Amazon. I have them linked in my video description. 😊❤️
This was really satisfying to watch - I love organization. I really enjoy your channel, Marita - you are so lovely. 😊 ~Laura, Washington state
Glad you enjoyed it! Same here! Thank you so much. I'm from Washington State too where are you located?!❤️
What size are the storage boxes
Maybe place a yard stick on your items when photographing? Won’t need to measure and write down on the white board?
That's a really good idea! Thank you! ❤️
Maybe I missed this but where did you get the boxes that you store your inventory? Thanks for sharing. You are such a natural on video. Keep up the good work 🎉
I actually just ordered them off Amazon. I love them! I have them linked in my video description. Thank you so much and thank you for watching! I've been enjoying your channel too!🥰❤️
New to the channel. I like your lime dress...👍
Hey! Hope you're enjoying it so far! Thank you. I just recently found it! ❤️
Thank you so much Marita for this wonderful and informative video. You’re awesome! 😎
You did a great job!
Where did you purchase your boxes on your shelf and shelf itself? Ty :)😊
Thank you and thank you so much for watching it! I purchased them off Amazon and I have them linked in my video description. I love them! ❤️
My pleasure to watch your video.
Can you tell me Marita where I can find the Royal blue dress with flowers you were preparing in your video. I cannot seem to find it in your Poshmark closet? Ty
do you just total amt items and receipt total to get cost of goods?
Super organizational skills. New subscriber. thanks for showing us all of this.
Yay! Thank you and thank you for watching!!
Awesome thx!
Great video!! Love your system!
Thank you!!
Thanks so much for sharing! Do your lights with the filters help eliminate your shadow on your item when the light is behind you? Also, I keep in a google sheet how much I paid for each item, so I know my profit margins. Do you just do an average for all items in a haul?
Great content! Very helpful! I like how you do the whole process. I’m going to try and do the same. Thanks!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the format. Yay! Let me know how it goes for you. ❤️
That dress is so cute and gorgeous. Love your videos !!
Thank you!! 🥰❤️
Those are big boxes. How many inventory items in each box approximately?
I typically can fit around 50 items per box. 😊
Insightful. Thank you!!
Hope you found it helpful! Thank you for watching! ❤️
Nice set up. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and thank you for watching! 🥰❤️
Impressive system. 😮
Thank you! 😊❤️
Great video thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Great vid!!! Subbed!!!
Thank you! ❤️
Great system!
Thank you!!
What do you do for moth prevention? Thx for the video ❤
I keep all my items sealed in those bags so it prevents moths and pests from getting in. Once I'm home from the store I either have my items bagged that day or the next so they're only hung up for a day or less. Thank you for watching! ❤️😊
What’s the app called you use for storing your receipts?
I don't use an app I just use a special folder in my phone. 😊
So with your dresses you don't do a waist or hip measurement?
No I don't add those measuring in. I personally haven't had any issues with leaving them out. 😊
Thank you so much! This was very helpful!
Thank you for watching! Glad it was helpful! 🥰😊
Few questions here, do you put your shoes in a box after?. For your clothes..do you weigh them? For shipping I mean
Hey! No I actually ship my shoes in oversized poly mailers. When I ship out clothes I only weigh them when it's shipping time and that's only if it's a sale through eBay.❤️😊
@ThriftandThriveMarita so how do you know how much shipping will be? Thank you
@@ThriftandThriveMaritayou put all shoes I. Oversized poly. Do you just keep them in the plastic bags?
Do you do any measurements?
Hey! Yes, I do add measurements.
Than you. This was helpful.
Thank you for watching! Glad you found it helpful! ❤️
Thanks for the video!! What steamer do you use? And do you ship the shoes in a poly mailer, bubble mailer or box? Thanks 😊
Great video! How many items do you list a week?
Thank you! I list a minimum of 70 a week. ❤️😊
I don’t see you weighing any items like shoes. I’m trying to figure out shipping for eBay. Do you have a set shipping price for certain items?
Hey! I don't weigh my items until it's time to ship them out. When I enter in the weight for my listings I typically just guess how much it will weigh and normally I'm not far off. As for shoes in my listing I charge all shoes under the price for a padded flat rate envelope. 😊❤️
I needed this ❤. Thank you
Hope you found it useful! Thank you for watching! 🥰🥰
So you havent had a buyer ask about the $10 on bottom and your much higher prices?
No I've never had a buyer make any mention to the numbers written on the bottom of the shoes. 😊
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching! 🥰❤️
Love this! ❤
Thank you! 🥰❤️
What’s the brand of your lemon dress?
I just recently found it! It's from Steve Madden. 🥰
@@ThriftandThriveMarita nice and tropical !
Right?! I love summer time dresses! 🥰
eBay over time removes my storage note code and it’s soooo annoying
Oh no! That's frustrating. Are you entering it under the Custom SKU option?
Nice!!😊
Thanks! 😊
