Those agates were out of this world. It's 200am out here in Tacoma, Washington. Loved your video. It was to see them. Thank you. For sharing those great banded agates. 😊
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I got excited like a little kid watching this video! Thank you for sharing with me the joy of cutting agates.
This was so exciting. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. 👍 My favourite was the second to last one, it reminds me of the blue mussels we get all along the coast here in Denmark. Don't know if you have those across the pond, but they have a little bit of white nacre on the inside, and beautiful bands of blue radiating out. The quarts and the agate bands along with the shape of the stone looked so much like them.
If I weren’t 83years old with arthritic fingers I’d go out and buy myself one of those lapidary saws and learn to use it. You have certainly inspired me with all your beautiful and exciting agates and other gem stones. Thank you again!
I'm 66 yrs. Old I've been rockhounding most my life, now I'm retired now and have more time for hounding, I would love to cut some geods open, and I have a few rocks that are crying to be cut open. This saw would make my ROCKS & I HAPPY. Kathy Sullivan 😊
My "wow"s kept getting louder and longer and with more exclamation marks each time you revealed a new cut! 🤣 They are incredible stones and it's so much fun that you (and Tom) shared them with us.
Such pretty and unique agates! I dont think ive ever seen so many different agates! They had some of the most unique patterns on the insides, ice ever seen on a LSA! I mean the mossy ones were just as gorgeous as the bands! Thank you Tom, for letting us have this opportunity, to see them first cut open! They were just gorgeous! Awesome job Taylor!
Oh my word those are some stunning stones! Thank you Tom and Taylor for sharing them with all of us! I particularly love that one with the crystal impression. Just WOW!
The colors and unique patterns in some of these were mind blowing! They were all stunning and thank you Tom for sharing these beautiful gifts with us! As always Taylor... Good eye good eye!😂
Congrats, Tom! Those are really gorgeous agates! Thanks to you and Taylor for sharing them with us. Taylor, as you mentioned in the chat about doing a video on how you decide how to cut these, I second wanting to know about that. I've been wondering and I think you'd be able to share a lot of great insight into making the best choices.
Way to pick them Tom! You picked the right guy to cut them too! I just LOVE watching The Agate Dad cut & reveal the inside beauty of rocks 😊 Big thanks to you both! Rock On guys
Congrats!! Ice cream is a fabulous way to celebrate! My daughter and I have been rock hunting the Midwest for 2 years now. A lapidary saw would definitely take us to the next level.
Thank you Tom! And thank you Taylor! I'm headed up to Lake Superior after work today for a rockhounding weekend myself. Hopefully I find some bangers like you!
SO MUCH FUN! Thank you for having this channel so we can see inside these fabulous fun jewels created by God for our viewing pleasure. What a thrill. Thank you Tom, enjoy your treasures!
🎺Toot your own horn, Agate Dad! 🎺 You are excellent in determining the direction of the cut. This is why people send you their agates. If they are anything like me, I’m terrified on how to determine a cut but you my friend, understand the banding and how it runs, so therefore you are the go to guy to cut folks precious finds. 🎺TOOT, TOOT! 🎺☺️
We in inherited a bushel basket full of agates (L.S.A., Thunder eggs, moss) I like seeing you cut them open, maybe a video on more explanation on where and why you made/make a cut in what direction. Thanks for all your videos - long time subscriber.
First time viewer and now subscriber! I think the best part of your videos is your outstanding and enthusiastic response to every agate you open! It's great and absolutely noticeable that it is heartfelt. I react the same way when I find one of mother nature's beauties. Agates and geodes just leave me in total state of awe. To know that some of these rocks and gems have been on the earth for hundreds and thousands of years...blows my mind! I live in Oregon and frequent the rivers of Washington. I take every opportunity I can to do a little hounding. Thanks for sharing yours and others finds!
Yay I found a live video of yours. Or at least it’s telling me you’re live. So far very nice. I’d love to be able to find incredible rocks. I’ve always collected rocks. But never knew their inside beauty. So just learning. So far, from what I’ve seen Arizona don’t have this beautiful of Agates.
