Excellent. This can be used for ship propulsion! Just a big tank, sucking seawater. Letting the water fall down via a turbine back to the sea. The turbine drives the propeller. Ship propulsion for free! (Do you beleve it?)

@@Dingsrud This is not true. It's not a siphon, it's a vacuum pump. The release of the water from the main tank creates a vacuum in the supply line that draws water from the river or well into the main tank to feed the output line. the length and size of the output line also contribute to the process and maintain the necessary vacuum to draw water from the supply side.

@@Bravo21 Noop. The release of some water from the tank will release some energy from the water in the tank. To restore that volume of water in the tank from a lower supply, you must let out more water from the tank than what you get in. The efficiency of this system is less than one and the tank will run dry.

What I am telling you is not my opinion, its a fact. My background and education is in Engineering and mathematics - whats yours?
The Tank is where the vacuum is created. The release of water from the tank creates a vacuum that draws the water UP the pipe from the supply source. It is not a siphon. Belief has nothing to do with it.

Why do you discredit knowledge? This is a siphon and only works from a high elevation to a lover elevation. It can not pump any water up, impossible.

  • @CAJUPEGO
    @CAJUPEGO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

If you studied fisics in the secundary school, you know that it's impossible to move water from a lower level to a upper level without using a pump or a container, because the water moves for the gravitational potential energy. The gravitational potential energy is product of multiplication between weight and height, and weight is product of multiplication between mass and acceleration of gravity, so E = mass * acceleration of gravity * height. If the level is the same, the height is 0 metter, so the water not move between two levels, while if the level of water is diferent, the water moves from upper level to the lower level because the height is different than 0 metter. If you need move water from upper level to lower level, you just need a hose and suck from the upper level to the lower level, just like extracting fuel from a vehicle tank (as it happens in the movies). While that if you need move water from lower level to upper level, you need a pump. The pump contributes gravitational potential energy to the water as its height increases, but it needs energy, because the energy is only transformed, first from electric or quimic energy (fuel) to cinetic energy, and then, from cinetic energy to gravitational potential energy.
The explanation is simple, the energy needed to raise the water from the lower level is greater than the energy provided by the suction force generated by the water outlet at the upper level.

the problem is your water in a lower area ... your drinking water should be lower than the water supply area. your water supply is a problem! less than the outside water supply.
it has no free energy! because there is no same water level up to low and high. it works to lower the outside rather than the lower inside of the water.

so you pump the water into the water tower and have gravity fed watering i don't believe it'd pull water from the river without the ground being lower than the river but filling that one tank should save a ton of legwork carrying buckets further than just to the top of tank and if ya need more water pressure or flow just raise the tank up on a higher platform... preferably when empty or increase tank size so more weight of water pushing down the hose I've made 100s of micro water towers from food grade cleaned plastic 55gal drums and garden hose adapters with a ball valve i even take one with in the car with 'tons' of garden hose so i can place on hill and send the water down to plants then just a short trip up to the barrel to fill and the hose distributes it to the plants so i don't have to walk as far a lil solar panel water pump could slowly fill the tank and then have an overflow back to the river or to another tank and water would be constantly available for watering plants, setting up timers and individual drip lines to the pots is extra but then you got it so fancy it only needs minimal maintenance

ALSO DONT USE HAMMER ON WATER FITTINGS . CLEAN BERRS ON PIPE . GLUE AND TWIST BACK AND FORTH . WHILE PUSHING IN . THIS WILL PREVENT LEAKS . IF YOU USE PRYMER ;GIVES MORE TIME TO SET RIGHT DIRECTION . DO NOT BREATH FUMES .

Hello guys is the best ideas to do that sister but must welding 4 barely together in top each other then you get the best results ever the barely the second one must cutting the end and the top so that means to make all the barely one big barely nearly 800 liters of water so the pressure arrives to suck the water more then 40 meters deep and the pipes need to bee 60 mm that is the prefect volume of water tho

This is a simple siphon with a starting barrel. A siphon is no pump and can not lift any water a single inch! You can rty wit a 10.000 gallon tank, it still does not lift any water.

Will not help anything. The inlet must be higher than the outlet for this to work. I does not seem so in the video. Grater diameter on the tubing will also help. To elevate the red tank has no effect.

Can it be upgraded in such a way that it could suck water from a depth of 40 feet open well?
If it could suck water from a 40 feet depth water from open well by technical upgradation, it would have good marketing avenue in south districts of Tamil Nadu, India.
Please think over it and find some upgraded technical solution for drawing water from a 40 feet depth open well.
