Black oil sunflower seeds help get them in the mood as well and it also can help nursing mommas produce more milk. I give mine about a teaspoon a day mixed with thier pellets. They love them
I actually have a doe (broken orange) that I have tried to breed to one of my bucks (black tort) multiple time. I have since concluded that she does not like him! Especially because she has NEVER had an issue breeding with my other buck (broken black). It's really funny actually!
I keep my area raked up at least every 3 days my rabbits cages are hung up I buy a fly and large killer that I sprinkle on the ground keeping the area free of poop really helps
This was so so so so so helpful!!! Thank you Holly!! I’m going to really try reading fern tomorrow. So, if I run into any difficulties, this is a huge help. Also, I’ve now learned that aurora hate Neville’s guts so, I’ll be needing a new buck! Lol 😂 I needed a new buck anyway so it all works out.
Wow, Holly, ya got this thing figured out! Thanks so much for the info. Either my two does are gay or frigid! Year old, just got a male, and absolutely nothing!
Yes, humping is a sign of dominance, does do it to each other, bucks do it to each other, does do it to their babies sometimes...that doesn't mean one is a girl and one is a boy. You have to check
If you are having trouble breeding your doe, try this, it 100% worked for me. I tried for weeks to get my doe to breed, the buck did his part, but she wouldn't lift and would run from the buck. Using a soft hair band (not elastic band) place it around the doe's head and slide it to her back legs. Then do a few loops around the base of the tail. This causes the doe's tail to rise making it easy for the buck to mate. Worked wonders for me and the doe does not get hurt, but I stress do not use an elastic band. He had 5 successful breedings :) good luck!
I have this exact issue. Now they are in separate cages as I thought they may have more interest in each other and now when I took the doe to the buck he wanted her and she runs around in circles and stamps at him.
I've used tort, orange, blue, black, opal, cream, chinchilla, Chestnut, and brokens of those varieties. I have produced many many other colors but those are the colors I've used for breeding in my herd. My lines go back pretty far now, 5 or 6 generations on most of the does sides of the pedigree, and 1 or 2 generations on most bucks.

what de wormer do you use? i have heard horror stories about rabbits dying from de wormer so I have been ussing a natural dewormer and not having much luck with a worm problem in one of my does. what do you suggest
I use Ivermectin. If you don't use it correctly, it can be dangerous. I use smaller than the recommended amount and squirt all the paste into a jar or container and then mix it all up. Some places have more poison than others, since it's all supposed to be one dose to a horse. I've heard Safeguard is safer, but not as effective on all parasites.
I’m at a loss with my doe. She’s bread with my male before. We gave her a 4 month break after her first successful litter with our male. Now she’s very aggressive, won’t lift bites him attacks him wants nothing to do with him 😐 I’ve tried several times always giving ACV A WEEK before I try. 🤷🏻♀️ she’s got one more try then I’m rotating her out.
I have a question. When you talk about light, I was wondering if it being dark because its night time. Is that ok or do they need to be in constant light
I've heard the recommended amount of light for best fertility is 16 hours of light a day, as close to natural as possible. That's the equivalent of a spring or summer day. They do still need the dark though, and that is typically when they will actually give birth ☺️
Which dewormer is best? I have a new-ish bunny who is really skinny so, I'm thinking I need to deworm. I don't know what exact parasite she'd have though...Would it be a good idea to take her to a vet? Thanks!
@@thebackyardburrows6653 that’s what I was wondering cause for line breeding they breed mom to son and daughter to father ..you just have to cull hard unfortunately :(.

Using this video to make sure my bunnies don't ever breed just in case. I will do the opposite of her. Especially the tiny cages. They should have water bowls too, they are all going to be extremely dehydrated with this system. Poor bunnies!
Your bunnies WILL get sore hocks on those horrible wired bottom cages there really bad pls get atleast a better cages or get a smaller herd and use x pens and do it humanly and let them live good lives not THIS. I really like wild clover rabbitry they use x pens there good check them out and Educate yourself she has like a enclosure section and diet and toys section on her website it’s really cool
There are tons of breeders out there who have been raising rabbits on wire for longer than you've been alive and they don't have a problem with sore hocks.
First of all she sold all her bunnies because of people like you and second of all they aren't small 3rd of all wire cages are more sanitary and 4th of all keep your damb mouth shut

Your videos are always full of information
very helpful. video. You mentioned apple cider vinegar. Could you share more specific details (water to cider ratio - how long etc.)
Raspberry leaf tea works the same as ACV! I use both interchangeably
Hi holly how do you keep flys out of your rabbitry - xx
I keep my area raked up at least every 3 days my rabbits cages are hung up I buy a fly and large killer that I sprinkle on the ground keeping the area free of poop really helps
This was a super helpful video. How much Apple cider vinegar do u give them to help with breeding?

What do y’all use for worming ?
How much apple cider vinegar do i give them
And do i give them it just so or i mix it in their water
Plz let me know thx in advance
one tablespoon in a 32 ounce waterer.
My buck and doe live together in one cage for 11 months and my doe never got pregnant. What do u think I should do. Or whats the problem.
Sounds like they might be both does or bucks, or one is fixed
But I've seen them tried many times before and the doe never got pregnant. If they are the same gender I don't think they would try.

USE SOME ROPES AND JUST TIE HER DOWN...LMAOOO
Try switching doe’s and bucks cage for 24 hrs and only two drops of wheat germ oil any more can cause doe to have diareah
My buck is not falling off but is instead holding onto my doe, does he just not know how to do it as I'm not sure of his age.
What if your buck isn't in the mood

I have a Buck that’s about 5 months old, do you think that it’s ok to try and breed him?
Yeah as long as his testicles have descended, he should be good to go!

I don't think a vet is necessary, she might just need more food.
Ok cool! Thanks holly!
Weather causes a big issue also the ups and downs in weather conditions causes the doe’s to not come into heat
Bunnies don't have a heat they can get pregnant any time
I mixed some whisky with water for the male rabbit, before I put female rabbit with him
Is it okay to breed both male and female rabbits having same age(month)?
Yes as long as they are over 6 months and not brother and sister
Why can't they be brother and sister?
