    I think the T6 Ranger is overbuilt. I’ve heard nothing but good things here in the US from people who have the 2019-current gen Rangers. I will probably get this next gen since it is an updated Ranger but carries over the good things from the previous gen. Ford did good with if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Also I’ve always heard, if it can take the damage Australians can give it, it’ll withstand 98% of what I can throw at it. For me it’d be a daily driver, dad mobile, weekend warrior, and vacation traveler.

    • @bendgeddes
      @bendgeddes ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bumper is mounted directly to the chassis. This is how the bull bar will also be fitted. The body, including the grill section, are fixed to the chassis on rubber mounts for comfort and noise reduction. This is evident in all new(ish) 4x4 with a bull bar fitted, as you can see from the drivers seat, the top bars of the bull bar moving independently from the bonnet. P.S. a full scale bull bar is heavy and might detract from that all important Raptor suspension. Regular Rangers can simply add after market suspension to accomodate the weight.

    For what though? Petrol engine too thirsty for touring at $2.20/ litre, or $3.20/ litre remote. Can't carry weight due to it's coil spring suspension and it is limited for towing duty because of all of the above. It's a play toy for the weekend on a beach or a sand pit, expensive at that. The price would be acceptable, if it could do more than one task, but it does not.

I spoke with Canadian service and parts staff employed by a dealer, even they said in Canada for $80 grand Canadian or $89 grand Australian you can get the most up to date, top spec large pickup truck, with every conceivable extra, while in Australia we are robbed for choice and ripped off on price.
