Hello. Nice video. I have the 2021 version of this power supply. Getting a reputable vendor that provides a solid product is very important for system stability. Cheers!
@@RoninTekk As of right now I have a 7 year old rm850i @~600 watts. 1080 ti with 14700k. I plan on upgrading to the rtx 5080, so I wanted the 12vhpwr plug & cable, also wanted to be sure that I would be able to power the card with no problems.
I ordered the HX1500i yesterday, but on the same day, Corsair announced a newer version of the HX1500i with two 12V 2x6 connectors. So, I returned it and bought the RM1000i today, which has the latest ATX version and connectors. I’m not sure yet if this power supply will be sufficient for my future AMD 9950X3D and RTX 5090.
@ well i have a motherboard, AIO cooler, many fans, m2 chip, ddr5 ram etc etc. Its gonna be tight and you dont wanna run the psu at 95 to 100%. But lets see :)
I just ordered it here in Belgium EU for 169€ to replace my 13 year old Corsair AX-850 to prepare my system for MSI RTX-4090 that needs 4x 6+2 Pcie connectors or 1x 12VHPWR what my current AX-850 does not have. Corsair is very good so need a quick review so thanks for that. The two CPU cables are for system that needs more power for maybe 12 to 16 cores CPU's. Not AMD because they don't eat much power so I'm guessing Intel that are having issues like 13 & 14th gen that use way too much power and still die.
Only reason I went with my corsair hx1500i arx 3.0 in 2023 was because of the 2 8pin to 1 12vhpwr connector. Shame on corsair for changing this up. They were talking about leaving it that way due to it being more reliable / safer. Well obviously that didn't last long and was full of 💩💩
very useful review
THANK YOU SM!!
@@lukaso161 Glad you liked it!

@@beowulf885 Whats total wattage of your system?

@@snellage 575w+ 170w with 100% theoretical load. I don’t see why RM1000x shouldn’t handle it.

The 4090 has some aib models that use an adapter which connects 4 pcie cables
@@MohamedAli-vy4pc or you may connect one cable and get much cleaner setup
👍👍👍👍👍
5090 will need 4 of those PCIE cables, or 1 12vhwpr
Exactly

4090 will need good PSU for sure. RM1000x is a nice choice, congrats!
I have RM1000X Shift, and i think 600w kabl is better...2x8 in PSU is fantastic...i dont like this type on PSU...

I bought it due to 12vhpwr. One cable end to end was a dealbreaker for me.
@@RoninTekk are you saying you bought a hx1500i instead of this rm1000x?
@@pr0gressd no :) I’m still referring to RM1000x
