@JunkyardDigs and I drove a long-abandoned Dodge van from Texas to Phoenix to pull its 360 Magnum V8 and install it into Tony's 1956 Desoto. Tony is a disabled United States Air Force Veteran and an all-around good guy who reached out to us for help. We answered the call, but can we accomplish the mission?

By the way.... The van is a house now😂
A point I neglected to mention. The DEA is going to have their hands full once the Van ™️ begins manufacturing
@@PoleBarnGarage it'll be the most reliable and longest running meth lab ever😂
lol im sorry hwat?
would make a fair cicken coop rn in sbs yard.
But the Van was REALLY good.
Never seen this model not all rusted to death yet, lol.
Btw: Awesome Series
I was thinking put a hemi in it and make it a church van.
I miss "The Van" TM 😭😭
You should have kept the van and bought the motor Dalton was talking about in your video Kevin
Sleeperdude88 needs help with there 5.9 magnum swap
Hey man ya gotta Dodge them feelings! lol
But know that "The Van" TM lives on in spirit, in the deSoto!
May it rust in pieces 😢
Kevin putting van parts on the curb in front of an open house has got to be one of my favorite things ever. HOAs quake in our presence.
Update for anyone interested. 1 year ago today the van gave up its engine for my DeSoto. I made some progress but the past few months my health has taken a turn down. I have developed type 2 diabetes and a heart condition.
Not sure when or if I will ever be able to get back to work on the car.
Still very thankful to have met Kevin and Dalton and for all they did.
type 2 diabetes is completely reversible. depending on the heart condition, i'm suspecting atrial fibrillation, it too is treatable. if coronary disease, several methods to treat. best to you.
You just gave this vet a gift that he may have never gotten to experience. Proud of you!
40:31 - the synchronized "It was strong... TOO STRONG, THE VAN!" got me. Great job guys! Glad to see you doing good work for a vet in need. As Tony stated, I am sure he GREATLY appreciates your help on this. I would love to see a follow-up video where you help finish up some other things. DEFINITELY looking forward to seeing a follow-up to see his face once it gets up and running again!!!
that will take money and at least another year, but I am getting there. Could not have done this on my own!
This was really a super hilarious video, but the humanitarian value of it far surpasses its abundance of great humor. BIG kudos to you and Kevin, Dalton!! I'm VERY PROUD of you guys!!!
Thanks Dr. Lee! What we did ain't much, but it's somethin'
@@PoleBarnGarage Oh, I disagree....you could see it on Tony's face! You done good!
I found the sound of the mopar starter quite humorous 😅 That really added to it for me.
Let's all thank Tony for his service and his kind heart!
Thanks Tony!!!
AWESOME VIDEO DALTON AND KEVIN!! GLAD TO SEE YOU GUYS HELPING A VETERAN!!
Try to do what we can!
@@PoleBarnGarage please try and help sleeperdude88 with there 5.9 magnum swap

“I have been swinging motors in from trees my whole life” absolute poetry
Fantastic job guys! So great to see Tony’s neighbors volunteering too!!
They bit off a bit more than they expected and not with helping Tony.
When you guys cruising into California??
Let’s us know
I’m always down to lend a helping hand 🤘
Those guys are going to run with the ball for sure. Good people are everywhere , you just have to look around.
Nothing more entertaining than a group of guys working on an old car in the garage with all of the correct tools
@@jamess7681its a Dodge. The only tool required is a 20 lbs. Tanya Harding!!!
The realtor trying to sell the house across the street had me rolling !!! You guys look like you just had a great time, and that’s what it’s all about.
I kinda want to be disappointed that the van was such an easy and fun revival, then you rip it apart, but I can’t 😂 I sincerely appreciate and thank you fine gentleman for going through so much trouble to help a veteran.
A guy just hit the lottery a 2 hour VGG and almost an hour of you and Diggs helping out a disabled hero going to have a great night
There are preachers weeping across the country as you cut a part that church van😂
Not, a chance. It, served its pupose.🙂
That was just awesome Dalton I was usually a bit sceptical about your collaborations with Kevin but this was just epic from you both, and what a great thing you did for Tony. I spent 10 years in the British Army as a heavy machinery mechanic down to Iraq and Afghanistan (lost my best friend in Afghanistan) and I still have the physical and mental scars from both of them. I love seeing the respect veterans get in the USA over here in the UK it seems in very short supply at times but perhaps that's the case everywhere. I very rarely mention my time in the forces but this was just awesome. Dalton and Kevin thank you!
Proud member of the low buck club right here :)
Thanks for watching and enjoying! Truth be told I'm happy to help anyone who deserves it
Very kind what you two me done for that vet
I'm an American but thank you for your service. I will never understand the lack of pride for other countries military guys. As much as I hate our government I still have great love and respect for our military guys. They didn't always know about the BS our government was pulling behind their backs.
No @itsdinger thank you for your service
God bless you both. For helping a U.S . Air Force Veteran.
This has got to be the best "Garage Squad" episode I have ever seen!
Kevins pillow in a can is something you could market. Its multi purpose. When you wake up from a nap you drink it.
Guys, being a USMC veteran myself, you can't possibly be told enough how much we, the veteran community, appreciate what you did for a Brother of ours!! Even though Tony is a Air Force guy, we still appreciate it! 🤣🤣😇. You guys are AWESOME!!! Tony, you Sir, are a BRAVE MAN!!!
Great video. Great cause and two really great guys donating your time, energy and talent to help this fellow Air Force Vet out.
Try to do what we can! World is a not so nice place these days
Awesome thing you guys did, very thoughtful! Thank you Tony for your service!
Tony is a very deserving guy
as a van lover this was hard to watch, but what you did for this guy is absolutely fantastic.
The two neighbor guys need their own channel. You guy's did a damn good job for that disabled veteran.
Dalton and Kevin great job... You both just made SUPER HERO status... Never disapoint...
Watching you guys work together is always a ball. As a vet myself it was heartwarming to see you guys help another Veteran out.
The van was a trooper. You guys are absolutely awesome for helping a veteran out. Great video as usual
Nice gesture to a decent bloke down on his luck…good man.
Kevin and dalton you guys are heroes thanks for helping a veteran out ❤️👍i have great respect for you guys 👍👍👍👍 and the “VAN” lives on 👍👍
My dad had his knee replaced and he still refuses to let me help him that man is my motivation.
You'll are killing it (and yourselves) Awesome job.
Thanks! I think
That light blue paint looks great on that engine
I can't believe the amount of sludge in this engines cooling system. Great job guys!
You'll be even more shocked when you see how good the van was
@PoleBarnGarage the fact that you got from Texas without really any issues. The great car in the sky must have blessed the engine if what was in it, made it to Arizona
The remark about Mopar motor mount bolts that are impossible to get to gave me flashbacks to last summer working on my '89 Dakota and I'm triggered 😭
Very nice gesture for you guys to help out a vet. Love to see a follow up video on this car. Cool ride !
The VAN ❤️ She served her purpose, was a fun journey, great videos AND She's paying it forward. Totally enjoying all y'all's content. Subbed to both channels Fellaz👍🏻❤️🤍💙
Thanks y’all for helpin out the vets 😊
You're killin' it, man! Beyond happy for you!
Thanks Jen! What an adventure!
You two are to be commended! You both deserve a long-needed rest! "I drank my pillow".....for some reason that just cracked me up! The punchdrunk, sleep-deprived humor was hilarious! Thank you for helping Tony!
Congrats on 100k!!!!! You deserve it!
I think it is a great thing that you and Kevin stopped in Phoenix to help the Veteran do a engine improvement. My uncle was a Vietnam vet so I have a ton of respect for our veterans
I like Kevin running the realtors day.
Also like how the firing order, cylinder numbers, and distributor rotation are blatantly cast into the intake manifold staring them in the face.
Thank you to you both for helping a Veteran. Awesome video.
Also I'm very happy y'all helped a disabled vet just cuz you had the ability to! More people should follow your example!
You guys are awesome for helping this man enjoy his car again great job
How did I miss this JEM!!! Thank you TH-cam for finally letting me know it exists. Pure gold.
Very cool thing you guys did! Im surrounded by vets & in our neighborhood, we love them and support them in any way we can....well done guys
You two are absolute magic together
The collabs with Kevin are getting better and better!! What you guys did for Tony is beyond words!!! PBG!!!!! JYD!!!!
Don’t feel bad about the van.. the engine is the heart and soul of a vehicle. The body is just the wrapper. The van lives on
Absolutely agree with Tony, watching Dalton work is like watching myself work haha
It was hard to watch ya'll trying to remove the clutch fan lol. There are special tools for this and even some tricks you can do with basic tools. Oh well. It was entertaining anyways 😂 That was an awesome thing you did for a deserving veteran! God bless you guys and him!
Great job from everyone involved
Lots of people showed up to help that's awesome engine pulling party 🥳 alright Dalton @Pole Barn Garage
Now that was a fantastic show. Well done both of you 🇬🇧👍🏻
after watching the van episode and this one , you 2 just seem to have so much fun together!
Yessss! I've been waiting for this to come out! You rock Dalton!
Thanks man!
Proud of you guys for helping this vet
That's a hell of a working vacation you two got.
Fantastic content; shame the intake didn't make it, but its clearly ready for it, that Desoto is itching to roll again.
Love it when you and Kevin get together it such fun and laughter 😃 looking forward to the jaaagggg
Great episode. You guys really did that vet a solid. Want to say he has great neighbors as well those guys stepped right up. 😊
Go on the VAN, what an epic adventure 🤙🏻, loved watching every minute of it. Great work guys 💪🏻
You guys are really great for doing this for a disabled veteran. I am sure he would do it himself if he could. Its too bad you broke that old Orange Harbor Freight Reciprocating Saw. I have one like it and mine is over 10 years old and still works like a champ! The newer ones just don't look as tough. Mine even came with a new set of brushes. Maybe put the engine and transmission in the DeSoto! It would be "much more reliable" then. LOL
I had an angle grinder burn up. It was Dewalt or Black and Decker forever after that!
What a nice guy. I'm so happy for him.
Just subscribed to this channel and I’m enjoying it, love the comedy aspect 😅 keep up the good work guys
Welcome aboard!
Well thank you all the way from Canada!
The undercarriage of thst van is pristine wow at them floor boards 😳 @Pole Barn Garage
Thanks for supporting our veterans!
I just wanted to say that I subscribed to your channel for 1. Content 2. Your dry humor 3. Bleeping out bad words and not using them yourself 4. That you helped a USAF Veteran as I am one myself !
So awesome! You guys are great.
Thanks so much!
Awesome I enjoyed this build. Too bad the intake didnt show up. Would love to see a video of the intake install and the exhuast headers too.
Love this! You guys rock!
Gotta do a follow up on this! That car is gonna be too bad ass not to. Good on ya for helping him out.
Awesome video, as a mopar guy you did make me cry a little. Lol. Just because we are different, doesn't make us bad. 🤣
It's ok to be different if it makes sense 😂
@@PoleBarnGarage Well what fun is it if it makes sense?😂🙃
Dalton and Kevin this was the most crazy way of an engine install. I have ever seen. And dang it runs. Awesome. Think Tony was impressed as well. The two neighbors were a help. But, you guys stole the show. Dalton can’t wait to see what you two can get into next time around .😂 💯👊👍
It really spoke to me when Dalton espoused the wisdom from his grandad. Took me back to my youth.
Glad you guys are looking out for our veterans! What a fantastic adventure.
The only two channels that I audibly yell HELL YEAH!! whenever they upload a video. Polebarn and Junkyard digs.
What???? No self tappers?
Amazing job👍🏻
You guys rock👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for sharing.
Can’t wait to see the Jag come to life😊
Have a super weekend!
😂😂
I appreciate all that helped. That was a really good thing you
Guys did for that man. That’s what this country is all about! Thank you 🇺🇸
YOU AND THE NEIGHBOR GUYS ARE GREAT
It's Alive, Alive! The transplant of The Vans heart to the Desoto is nearly complete. 😊
This is awesome helping another fellow Veteran like myself. I would never luck into good guys like you to come help me with my wifes car. Thank you all for great video.
I'm so happy to find your guys' video. This is going to help me with my 1956 desoto.... thanks for Tony service.
What a Great Team! Definitely loving the Collaboration between you guys!!! Hilarious!!!
Great work guys. Thank you for helping your new Vet friend.
7:56 we get to see a little Tappy-Tap action... great video! Can't wait to see the rest of this trip..
then later.... "how do you burn water?" lol... Classic Dalton...
You guys are a great team. The neighbors helping was awesome.
Followed the whole story, starting at the new ranch. Then I watched JYD and now PBG. Great content for a good reason. Well done Men.
Hope you finally got some sleep Dalton. Great video, you are always entertaining to watch, and your face at the Twisted Tea is exactly how i looked when i tried one. Im no quitter so i finished the can, but will never have another one lol. You guys are awesome, thank you.
Oh my goodness Tony is humble, he is truly a good man.
This was an epic mini series. 3 of my favorite TH-cam channels overlaping. Awesome.
I do love how the military names the positions. I was a Missile Warning Computer Operator.
Such a fun journey. To know that "The Van" TM will live on, helping a Veteran bring his project back to life is exactly what 'car guy' culture is all about.
Great video, always love the collabs.
Love the series and the collaboration with junkyard digs
I can just picture Kevin turning the corner very fast and dramatic, pulls up on you in the van. Rolls down the window, slightly tilts his sunglasses down to look over them and says "Mopar or no Car baby!" Then proceeds to hit the gas to try to do a burnout but the van stalls and won't start again... 😂😂😂
The two of you are so funny and it looks like you had a good time.
Would love to see Tony make a channel to keep us updated. It doesn't need to be weekly updates or anything. Would just be cool to see the progress whenever he gets around to making a little video.
After getting married, this was like the greatest day of my life! I still have lots to do to get this car on the road, but I would have never been able to do this engine swap on my own. When I was young, I could have, but not anymore! So grateful!
hope to see an update!
Tony, thank you for your service. Your DeSoto is gonna rock! RIP, van!
Good afternoon Gentleman. What a really Lovely Gesture to do for this Hero of yesteryear. What a Great team all pulling together to transfer this Awesome Engine into this Classic American Beauty. This Veteran needs a lot of Help, Support to finish off Restoring this Gorgeous vehicle. Well Done to You Incredible and Selfless Gentlemen. I Salute all of You.
