  • We’ve teamed up with Detailing Shed, in conjunction with MTM and Gtechniq to test out what is widely viewed as the best performing Foam Cannon on the market - after setting it up and now having down experience with the PF22.2 - we can agree!
    In this video we test out the full setup from MTM, including the SGS28 spray gun, the MTM angled lance, and the PF22.2 Foam Cannon adapted to work seamlessly, with a quick disconnect system on a Karcher K4 Pressure Washer.

    Just a couple of quick corrections we’ve noticed since publishing, and some handy additional information:
    - The MTM lance has a 15° degree Bend (not 40 degrees as mentioned in our discussion during the video)
    - The PF22.2 nozzle can switch to 90 degrees, from 180 degrees.
    - The Stainless Steel Swivel is built into the SGS28 - extremely handy!
    - 3/8 SS plug comes with the kit, so if you need to upgrade from a Karcher to Kranzle the fitting is included and ready to be switched out.
    - Foam Cannon comes with the regular 1.25 mm orifice installed and 1.1 mm orifice in the box. It's better to use the 1.1 mm orifice with regular pressure washer with less flow < 1.9 GPM. When the higher flow pressure washer that has more than > 2.0 GPM use the standard 1.25 mm orifice.

    Don't forget as well you can adjust the front grey part of the foam gun nozzle section to change the fan direction from horizontal to vertical. In the video it was halfway between and as you started foaming you even turned the bottle sideways to compensate it being in the wrong spot.

      I hope the video helped in making your decision. The video is a true representation of the foam cannon in action. We both recommend this foam cannon over the Meguiars foam cannon (check our other video on this).
      Detailing Shed has a few different options when choosing the right connection for your pressure washer. Especially good if you have a Karcher.

    The little screw you refered to in the package is a smaller orfice for lower power pressure washers. It's a 1.1 vs a 1.25 that's in it from the factory. If you install it with your electric pressure washer. There will be even thicker foam! 😁 And there is no need to Teflon tape fittings with o ring's. Have my set up on the way. Without the lance it's $107 in the USA. Plus I'm not planning on using lance with the spray gun. Also another nice thing about the MTM 22 you can adjust the spray horizontal and vertically I just bought the 40° MTM nozzle guard. Check them out. You will really like them for your spray gun. 👍

      In order to connect to a Sunjoe, two other fittings are required. See 24.0481 and 24.0448 to adapt to these models (linked below).

    For a product that's up there price, the reservoir could certainly increase in capacity. Refilling would be irritating after a while i.e washing my truck, a lot more surface area to cover

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @PerpetualApex you could get another MTM replacement bottle. They’re pretty inexpensive.

    • @nessviggo
      @nessviggo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 3:7 dilution in the bottle and I can wash around 8-10 cars on that so it’s very efficient . If you use a lot from the bottle dilute it with more concentrate.

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since u have the K4, did u change the inner orifice in the foam cannon to the 1.1mm orifice that Nick provided? Or did u leave it standard with the 1.25mm in the cannon? Thanks

      @@OmniGarage I find it strange how my K4 doesn’t like the 1.1mm orifice in my PF22.2 - it makes the foam kind of thick but watery, but when I change to a 1.25mm orifice that I have, I get absolute shaving cream foam? 1.1mm perhaps putting too much strain on the K4 unit and it flows much better with the 1.25mm? I get literally shaving cream suds.

    Interesting review. But you don't screw on plastic to brass or any other type of metal EVER. They included that teflon tape not only for the gun but for protecting the canister from getting ruined by the cannon head. Or you'll end up getting new canisters constantly.

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @pengasus we have had this foam cannon setup for 1 year 10 months which has been used nearly every week. The canister has been unscrewed and washed out after every use. To date never had a problem with it and haven’t had to replace the canister.

    Big disappointment you get a brass connection with the stubby gun I've bought all mtm extras to go with my kranzle all with stainless steel swivel connections that cheap brass fittings would play havoc with my o c d lol the kit is pricey as it it over in England it's £130 for the s28 and version 2 snow foam lance i purchased both separately for £110 all with stainless steel connections and swivel on the gun best set up in my opinion with the king of pressure washers the kranzle 1152 tst just wouldn't entertain them yellow peril karcher plastic tat with the pants motors lol 😝🤣🤔
