Just an old mom tip for keeping your blouses white/cream if you’re prone to sweat-staining: hang your whites/creams out to dry, but pin them up by the bottom hems on your clothesline in full sun so the sleeves hang and expose the pits. The sun naturally bleaches out the sweat stains. (Whereas regular chemical bleach turns whites into greys over time.) Moms (and Dads!) have been using this trick to naturally disinfect and bleach cloth baby diapers for decades.

Ooh I like that idea! Also, the aluminum in modern antiperspirants is the primary culprit behind those yellowish armpit stains. Once I started using deodorant without antiperspirant, I stopped getting them ENTIRELY 😳

I’m obsessed with that chair! I really want it. Last spring I bought the egg chair from target which is similar and I love it so much. But Rachel’s is even better ‘cause it’s bigger and you can lie down in it and snuggle with your pup. What could be better?

Isn't it a one piece swimsuit? Or, maybe they're called the same thing now? Like how blouses are now shirts.
@@catherinejustcatherine1778 bodysuit would be the non-swimwear equivalent of a one-piece bathing suit, so they'd look the same but made of different material. It's hard to say which it is from the video but seems more likely that it's a body suit.

What? Why? I'm genuinely curious.
I mean, I'm assuming, we're not talking about welt pockets or such. A regular side seam pocket shouldn't give you any trouble, once you've done it two or three times and know the required pieces and order of assembly.
It just always saddens me, when people are discouraged from making or altering clothes, because they're intimidated by stuff, that really just requires you to follow a couple simple steps in the right order.
And they're so many great video tutorials now.

Well, for many people learning something new is a form of self-care. I already have had my fun with music and more instruments that I need, so I bought a sewing machine instead :D

@@mj5697 that was my goal last year, even before the pandemic had started and boy did it pay off, especially as there was a shortage of masks everywhere. Not to mention all the loungewear I was able to make for myself, since I'd had nowhere near enough for the amount of time I spent home past year ;) Highly recommended!

If you do the smart* thing I do & forget to drink anything all day then you don't need the toilet often enough for it to be an issue.
*Not actually smart, just ADHD brain forgetting that the human body is meant to frequently consume liquids over the course of a day.
You could always take apart the inseam and throw on a bunch of little snaps, like you would for a body suit.

I recently went on a romper binge on ThredUp and discovered that 1) all rompers are a size smaller than your usual size and 2) trying to wiggle off a slightly too small romper is really challenging in a bathroom stall.
Moral of the video: when in doubt, put a skirt on it 💙

I have been playing accordion for over 19 years and I'm 23 (oh boy how the time goes...) You played so nice and I will give you accordion lessons for nothing if you want, I love when people are trying this beautiful instrument ♥♥♥ This makes me so so happy!!!

As someone who studies music, I think no one's musically gifted, it's just a matter of practice and exposure! Dat accordion is looking 😘👌
And that no one is "tone deaf": if you can hear the difference between your mother's voice and a stranger's your brain is capable of distinguishing sounds and learning to do the same with pitches.
From my teaching experience it is fascinating to watch new/young students grow from at first having difficulty telling the difference between very different high and low sounds to eventually honing in on one particular note and whether it, say, resonates with the open strings of their instrument or not. But even if they start off "tone deaf" they do not stay that way.
Please never stop listening to old-timey Jazz while filming outfits...

Rachel, thank you for your spunk and courageous creativity. Watching on the floor cutting out material reminded me of when I use to do the same. At some point my mother bought a foldable cutting board (Prym Dritz Superboard) and it made it a lot easier than cutting on the carpet. Best to you. The videos are uplifting and appreciated.

He actually met my grandmother while he was playing in a polka band and she would come to dances where he played. Whenever I hear accordion I remember him singing in Polish at Christmas Eve dinner. Just had a fantastic idea for you. It would be so awesome if you took the main characters from different Jane Austen books and dress like them. Example Emms Woodhouse from Emma, Mary Ann from Sense and sensibility, Anne Elliot from Persuasion, Fanny Price from Mansfield Park, and of course Elizabeth Bennett and Jane Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. I just know you could do a wonderful job. Oh yes I know she has done Elizabeth Bennett before but I would love to see it again.
