Hyelllllo!! Time for another thrift haul! And this time, I focused on finding some autumn items (even though I pretty much do that all year round but it's acceptable now), and wanted to put together some outfits that scream "I am ready to frolic through the leaves, YISSS"', as you do.

Not only has it given her ideas of ways she’d like to express herself, but it’s inspired her to create things through sewing, crocheting, quilting...all that jazz! I'm generally a black and grey kinda person, but Rachel was part of my inspiration for branching out a bit. I've been adding bits of dark green, olive, and mustard yellow into my wardrobe lately, and I feel like a Goth Hobbit! (which was very much my goal)

One of the things I love about Rachel is that she finds things that aren't actually vintage, proving that you don't have to buy vintage to look vintage. You can find enough affordable modern pieces that resemble it if you do a bit of hunting.

@@alli_mode LOL, exactly. It's not like I dressed poorly, just that I didn't have my own style, you know. I had pieces that worked together, but not a cohesive presentation. Watching Rachel (and a few others) helped me figure out what really speaks to me and how to put it together.
@@carlyblack42 I think that happens when the mother in question is the kind of person you wouldn’t really want to be friends with normally (as my mother is). I still talk to her but in small doses now. It’s important to remember that just because they’re family doesn’t mean it can’t be a toxic relationship.

Those Ivey Abitz outfits remind me a lot of Japanese mori fashion, where it's layers upon layers of natural, earth-tone colors and textures and soft patterns. The entire vibe of mori fashion (mori meaning "forest") is like modern forest witch meets cottagecore meets pretty much every cozy vibe in the universe. That specific collection is like on the border between regular mori fashion and dark mori fashion. It's a very good aesthetic!
