    Thanks a lot, Dr. Finio. You explained very clearly. The demo is well done. Good tips on giving another person the total control of the entire desktop. Thanks again.

    The Hot Key controls say to disable remote access is alt + shift + G. I haven't tried it yet though.

    Does this still work on the free plan? Or did Zoom remove remote control from free version (Aug 2021)?

    • @BenFinio
      @BenFinio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to their plan comparison it is available on the free plan: zoom.us/pricing

    I have two questions can a remote mouse-controlled user download file on his laptop? Can they do that without the host knowing?

    • @BenFinio
      @BenFinio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you give someone remote access then in theory they could send themselves files, but if the host is watching everything happening on the screen I think it would be difficult to do discretely. I would not give anyone remote access to your machine if you are worried about them accessing files you don't want them to have.

      @@BenFinio Thank you for the reply. I did a TEST with a colleague on Zoom. The user can only move files within the square bracket window. He cannot drop files onto his desktop from the window he has share screen and remote access. Now I did not try but had an email sent from within that access the files could be transferred. Or if devices have universal connection by LAN then locally between devices one can share files . A clod can give access on any device however, device to device transfer remotely by screen share and remote access , by drag and drop , can't be done at far distance . Apple and few technologies allow such transfer via wifi locally . Am I right in this understanding?

      @@dhavalsatishvyas9160 Sorry for the delayed reply, this comment got caught in TH-cam's spam filter for some reason. As far as I know you are correct that you can't simply drag and drop files between desktops on two different computers using Zoom's remote desktop control feature, if that's what you're asking. I am not familiar with other software that may allow this so cannot say for sure.

      Did you enable the setting as shown at the beginning of the video? If you are using a school or work account it may be disabled.

      @@JenReilly-z2e Hi - unfortunately this video is 2 years old and I'm not sure what's changed in the settings since then, I would try google/the official Zoom website for more information.
