These videos are fantastic. Can't think where else you'd be able to digitally have the experience of an ajeossi explaining how to play billiards in a quiet market backroom. Please keep this series coming! Loving it.
Your channel is mad underrated, just finished watching like half of your videos lol. Always thought you had like at least a few hundred thousand subscribers, but was surprised to see only 5k?? Keep up the good work man
I know ...mad isn't it. Comments like this keep me motivated, my channel is taking a little longer to get large subscribers compared with other channnels...Thanks :)
I am Korean and have lived in Seoul for 30 years. This video is very funny and interesting. You went around genuinely local places different with other traveling youtubers. The places are very normal to me and I get to know how foreigners those places 😊
Great channel. As a Korean-American, you are the most Korean non-Korean I have encountered on TH-cam. Your experiences are immersive and authentic. Cheers!
Love your approach to life and exploration. It's inspiring. I've always wanted to visit Japan, and now you've put Korea right up there on my list also. I'm enjoying every minute of these vlogs. Long may they continue.
Visiting Korea March 2024 and these videos have been so interesting, especially as we were hoping to find some places off the beaten track. Thank you for the content, you’ve given us some great tips and we will deffo try to find these places
Went to Korea for the first time in Oct., only went for 2 nights and really want to go back. I found your channel and am loving it. Keep up the great work!
I love your videos man ! . currently planning a trip to South Korea for 2024 . watched alot of videos on youtube to prepare for my trip but yours are the best . they capture the real south korea and the people !
I liked this video very much. I was wondering why I enjoy the content focused around non-tourist areas so much, and I think it’s because some of the tourist cities are very diluted with foreign (to Korea) culture and attractions. You really get a more authentic experience and are really immersed in a different culture and environment than your own. I also agree that the high-rises are very boring, they lack the personality of older architecture, which tells a story in itself. It’s also a bit of a shock with how safe everything seems to be, if you were in the US then your bike would’ve been gone the moment you looked away 😂
Another great vid bro. Really good content. Loving this series. Also your Korean seems to have improved heaps! Even tho I don’t speak Korean your responses sound more fluid with less thinking time. Keep it up!
The conversation with the gym lad was so nice, he spoke very good English, I wonder if he was studious in school or if he had some life experience which could explain his proficiency 🤔
normally i don't meet people of the older generation that speak English that well...that is until i met Kang on the mountain on Gwanak! Wait till you see that video mate :)
13:13 I'm Korean living in Coventry England about 7 years now currently. I saw plenty of pool tables where my college and "National Trust" which are country's heritage villages as well. What do you meant England have no Pool table? Are you referring to talking about England has no rules like 'Dangu' compare to Pure English Pool game? Could you explain please?
Wonderful videos. Quick tech question, what camera are you using? I have an Insta360 x3 but encounter a lot of noise when I record. Curious if you’re using something similar.
When I was growing up in Korea, my mom used to deliver the yakurt on foot. around year 1977. She went to work before sunrise and came home after sun down. Thank God she only had to do that for 4 years. Such a hard work. She only had one day off per year. That's right. Back then those ladies delivered that heavy bag of yakurt bottles on foot and got only one day off for the entire year. Yuk.
Thanks for another GU adventure……… Always look forward to your videos….. I tried a Milkis when I was at our local Korean market here in Michigan…. I liked it actually….. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of Korean culture….. You should look into teaching English to Koreans…. There is good money in it from what I understand….. I think you can do it on-line…… Anyway…. Stay safe bro…☮️
man, i used to order gamjatang (the largest serving) with just my cousin. we'd finish that and order a couple more servings of meat. wow, i'd get so full on that stuff. i wish there was a restaurant here that was close. some places do ox tail soup really well too.
24:27, seems like the old lady thought you were asking for a phone to call, which is 전화 (phone), but you were actually asking her about the station name, Cheonho (천호), since she is old, I think she probably heard you wrong lol. 전화 and 천호 somehow sound very similar in a way
Great video as always. You have definitely inspired us go get lost and explore when we are there in November. Is there any areas at all we should be careful of getting lost in. From all your videos and on your other channels everywhere looks pretty safe. Thanks again.
You can also add “ne” to the end of sentence. Used to acknowledge that the person you are speaking agrees or understands - but it something that used more by women in everyday speach. Ending a sentence with “yo” is like exclamation.
