Those of us who played with Star Wars, G.I Joe, Transformers, Mask, He-Man, Thundercats, etc as kids are now in their late 40s and early 50s. Time Flies....
I stumbled upon this video while seeking ideas on a custom playset I have in the planning stages. You've convinced me to go with wood, rather than the foamboard I was planning. You've given me a lot to think about. Definitely going to have to check out your other videos.
Yes, totally agree! Random suggestions better than what i was originally looking for. :D Amazing stuff! I love building but currently don't have the ability to get started. Hopes and prayers to be successful at having fun enough to have a house and pay the bills from blood sweat and chuckles having fun.
Really informative video! I appreciate how you broke this all down, especially as I’ve gotten more into diorama making for my displays and toy photography! I definitely would prefer longevity and durability to what I make.
Interesting and informative, what you are describing is an organic process of creating art which is essentially the key to creating great art. As a novice who is just jumping off with 1/12 scale I can pull a lot of your ideas and influences. Keep up your entertaining and highly rewarding work!
Just now found your channel. Was an immediate fan seeing your room and listening to your diorama discussion. Became an even bigger fan once you said, "Bobo". I haven't heard that in SO LONG. 80s kid here too. That sweaty fear when you hear bigger kids say, "This guy is wearing Bobos!!" HAHAHAHA
Dude! I started collecting a year ago, just before covid. At first I wanted to build an Imperial army. Then I started seeing dioramas and I really want to do that. You're my hero! This is so awesome!
Thanks for this. Need more from you, man. The toy collecting community needs to hear everything you say. You are a champion for the artists out there and we love it. There are amazingly creative people doing wild stuff that the big boys would never do. There isn't anything like one of a kind pieces of art. Alas, you rock.
I would love to watch your process of building up Rotgut's sister station on TH-cam. I think it would be entertaining and instructive for people interested in building 1:18 playsets to see it evolve and watch how you build it.
You are incredible man, since three years ago I’ve been planning, researching and developing on an project that l am currently working on, your information and creativity has gotten me more inspired to create my own dystopian crib play set. Also I love your own huge Sci Fi play set, looks awesome.
Oh man this gives me a lot of inspiration on expanding the set up I have currently, you should do a video over making custom vehicles bc I’ve got no clue of how you know such obscure 3.75 vehicles to use for parts
Amazing. Space. And. Table. Playset I. Hhave a. Small. Corner. Of my room and. I use it. For my. Animation s and my. Toy Fotography but. You have. Amazing. Imagination I got. Tons. Of toys. That. I inhereted. From. My. Nephews and. I have s small corner of my room. An I will. Build Lt thanks. For the video
Okay, so sets for stop motion animation that is going to continue on for years... employ my 3D printers and toss the foam. Awesome advice to be honest. I was just thinking of foaming up everything to get it done.
Amazing video! I love your work and agree with so many of your ideas especially about play! I raised two boys and we played with everything! I would like to improve my skills so I can make durable, playable toys!
I'm in the planning stages of two big dioramas.. 1 being a large prison complex and 2 being a Racoon City Resident Evil 2 project.. I cant wait to get started on them. Probably going to use styrofoam, sculpting clay and wood. And of course resin for any water
Been a big fan of your work and photos! I have some of your recent pieces in my collection as well and they are awesome. I really enjoy watching these videos and getting inspiration for my own projects. I hope to see some more content like this in the future, keep up the amazing work man.
Very inspiring, very informative. Something ive been thinking about from the first time i saw your work. how do you dust everything? and how long does it take?
I very often see dioramas at estate sales and are still unsold even on the last day when things are 50-75% off. Ive not seen one yet that jives with my interests. I've often thought of buying them and using the parts for my own dioramas. But something inside tells me that just wouldn't be right. Yeah, its a personal thing. I just couldnt do it.
Your work is very inspiring, cool, and you are very talented. On my TH-cam channel I've been posting videos of a stop-motion movie set I've been working on. I also post figure reviews but showing how I make things for inspiration or if someone wants to make something like 1/6 scale trees, they could get ideas from watching my channel. I totally agree, you have to be creative. Since what I make is outside, everything built has to be made to take the weather, so some of my creativity also goes into what materials I choose to use. Continue the great work, it's truly amazing!
I found your channel 33 minutes ago, i am very happy to see you, you gave a lot of inspiration, i have become familiar with your work from a few years now, it´s oustanding how many things i actually "hear" or interpreted just seen your pictures. i all ready make some "modular" walls and scenarios for my 1/18 scale colleciton and other collections i have, in other scale and other themes, like Dinosaurs, DinoRiders, Jurassic Park, Aliens, Masters of the Universe... of course Star Wars and Star Trek, and others, My father and my elder brothers actually built a 1/87 or H.O model train set. . Hope you don´t mind that I invite you to see my collection, i have a DeviantArt Account where you can see pictures of it, i also put some pictures of models of my brothers and friends, specially with the Radio Control stuff, i put in the description part in my best english if a owned the thing of is custom, or borrow, sometimes a little back story. there are Galleries where you can navegate throw the collection. Many of those pictures i got the inspiration from your pictures in Facebook, specially in the gallery Dropships, helicopters, VTOL vehicles. www.deviantart.com/krulos www.deviantart.com/krulos/gallery/42953823/dropships-helicopters-vtol-vehicles www.deviantart.com/krulos/gallery/43784087/underwater-pictures i hope the best for you and your family, specially health in this dark times. Not displays….dioramas :) !
David Cross talking about nothing for half an hour.
Step Zero: Get a real mic don´t use airpods!
Step Zero: Realize that this a toy/hobby channel and not an audiophile channel.
@@ageis That has nothing to do with this, plenty of toy/hobby channels who has great sound and it´s not very hard.
@@tetepeb The sound quality on this video is absolutely fine. Besides, we all have to start somewhere.
@@ageis I disagree
@@tetepeb Have a great day.
