The great thing about this channel is how he describes everything he is doing even when he is not sure if it will work or not. I love learning new techniques as I am only a beginner and a lot of other channels don't explain things, some don't say anything at all! Creative Cuts and Boylei Hobby Time are my two favorites. I thought for sure the carving of the resin was going to be a fail but it turned out awsome! Keep these great videos coming CC!
Haha I guess he was an engineer who could problem solve... or being desperate make you do some crazy things .... or a crate of red bull washed up and he got on one haha who knows? But it's fun to wonder haha
@ItzSeannyy It doesn't matter how "super in shape" anyone is, they can't lift half a plane wing or 2 trees mate. The channel and I were just having a little joke about how obviously impossible this was, but not tearing him down for the stylistic choice or anything, so there's no need for you to come here trying to add credibility where there's none to be found. In reality the survivor would most likely have been living in the crashed plane.
I absolutely love the tone and feel of this video, and I assume your entire channel. You have a wonderful narrating voice that is subdued/relaxed while feeling very natural, like you are just sharing your thoughts despite likely reading from a script. I also appreciate the relaxed nature of the video itself, restrained from the typical 20 cuts per minute, and you are confident enough to leave space for silence/no narration. Of course your music choices add to the relaxed, meditative feel . . . and there are probably several other things you are doing behind the scenes that I am not consciously aware of, but nevertheless contribute to our enjoyment. Along with your skill/knowledge of crafting, I truly think you have a special channel! So glad TH-cam recommended you, looking forward to enjoying every upload! Thank you for your hard work and the wonderful state of relaxation you helped me achieve.
Cheers!! The story sort of developed as I went. One idea sparked another, so to speak. In that sense, it was an adventure for me too. Thanks for watching 👍👍
You need sandpaper blocks and sticks mate, just grab some wood cut it small and in the shapes you prefer (i suggest squares, rectangles and even some round one's) it's a lot easier to sand down anything if your hand can hold something properly. The model on the other hand, amazing... just amazing. You were good from the beginning but your growth is still showing wonderfully, this is a project you can really be proud of, 10/10
Haha great ideas and it is something that I actually do do, not always on camera but yeah sanding stick and emery boards play a big part in my creations. Great tips though. Thanks for watching
I love how you can hear the passion and desire for modeling in your voice. Speaking of voice: Are you already working as a dubbing actor or as a voice actor at all? I think you should consider it if not! And apart from that, thanks for this lovely video and the good ideas!
Fantastic result. I've also seen some modelers use compressed air to blow waves in the resin while still wet. One hypothetical question though. Where did he get the wooden planks to make his shelter.
Thanks - the whole thing was a giant experiment to be honest. I would definitely change one or two things if I were to build it again but overall really happy. And hypothetically, all kinds of things wash ashore. Or hypothetically our survivor chipped down some stones to make an axe, chopped a tree and then got really good at honing down planks out of the tree trunk. Lots of questions but equally as many possibilities. 😎👍✌️
@@creativecuts7803 If the Swiss Family Robinsons can build a three house with plumbing and a working elevator then a plane crash survivor who may have been a saw mill hand can certainly split some planks. I really like the way you use paints to make everything so realistic.
This is a marvellous scene, and I loved the narrative, all the little attention to details really makes it actually an enchanting and accurate scene! Those ocean waves are genius, the best diorama ocean Ive seen being hand made, I loved it.
Your welcome dude, I got lots of sci-fi stuff on the channel too. Have a browse and maybe you will find even more inspiration. Either way many of the techniques can be easily transfered and of you get stuck I'm always happy to help or give advice. Best of luck with your builds 👍👍
I celebrate every one of your videos. There are dozens of channels dedicated to dioramas and miniatures, but CC is very special. It´s like when I was a child and eagerly waited for that movie on the big screen. Great scenarios, impressive photography and always, a story drivern by imagination. Thumbs up!
🤣🤣 I take it you mean Clive Owen... I seem to get a lot even though he is from a completely different part of the UK. Either way I take it as a compliment. Thanks for watching
Haha you and me both. Major leap of faith but very happy with the results. Buy I very much didn't know how it was gonna go when I started. All part of the fun I guess haha
How do you only have 7.3k views? Outstanding. I always wanted to see someone do a hypothetical plane crash of say, an F-35c crashed on an island. If a China / Taiwan / USA war actually transpired, something off a a hypothetical like that.
That's it, I'm hooked, and I need a new hobby now. All my 1/6th scale figures need dioramas, bases, environments like THIS! Time to get the supplies and get started. Thank you. Can't believe how much depth just the water you added brings to the diorama. Absolutely stunning work and I am S H O C K E D your channel does not have more exposure.
Haha thank you and sparking the inspiration in others is my main goal. And thank you for your kind words about the channel, maybe because I cant post as regularly as others (work) but I'm good, I don't really do it for the numbers or money, just for the love of building and sharing creative ideas.
@@creativecuts7803 I get it! There are so many things I'd like to get into but looking at how much time I have in my life it feels impossible sometimes. Looking forward to diving into this :) appreciate your work, attitude, and keeping up with your projects!
@@creativecuts7803 Actually have a question, how would you go about creating a diorama in 1/6th scale? I am looking at creating environments for my Nathan Drake statues, my Hot Toys Spider-Man figures, etc.
@KitsapDrummer pretty much the same processes will apply to all scales - just the shortcuts, so to speak change. The trick is to know what to include and what can be suggested. This will dictate the overall size - I can think of many times when I started a build, got excited, wanted to include everything and ended up with something huge. Sometimes less is more. 👍
Wilsooooon! 🏐Excellent build, must have taken some courage to dremel the resin like that, the water & waves turned out very nice. Great trick with the clearcoat aswell!

Great job 🙂 You have to be getting quite a collection of dioramas now. Do you keep them all or have some become presents? Or perhaps even sold? They are good enough for both.
Haha yes you are certainly correct. Building up quite the collection. And yeah, storage, presents and sold a few too. Just having fun with it really. Might even do a couple giveaways on the channel. Thanks for watching 👍
Fabulous waves and diorama. Having been killed by cannibals all too often in The Forest, he's lucky there's none of them there :) The grout for sand is a great idea. I've had some success with Bicarbonate of Soda but it's so gloopy. Thank you yet again )O(
Thanks, I guess it comes down to lots of experimentation. There is rarely a project which doesn't throw up some kind of new challenge but it's the best way to learn
I like the water effects and the basic ground work. Not so sure about the planks, they are not fine enough, look like inches by 16 inches or so. Also, if the guy is on an island all by himself, where'd he get cut planks from. Putting the wing up on top of the roof. Not sure one guy alone would be able to get it up there. As for the plane, I think I'd have it turned 90 degrees to the left, mostly under water. Ditching is usually done along the waves, not across them. Too much chance of the plane surfing and hitting the rocks at a fair clip. One thing, I think i'd have put a grave up on the beach, with a cross shaped from branches.
Thank you - I am happy to share my passion. Usually they take around 2 weeks to a month but editing and filming adds extra time. Also I fit around a full time job so evenings and weekends. Hope that helps a bit
