Hi how to remove the black plastic deco who cover the screws?

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120

@philphil397 you got to be very easy !! I mean you can bend the metal ring so easy !!!!!!!!! And afterwards it will look like shit !
I got the ring very warm with hair dryer then easily peeled the double side tape that the ring is held down by ' you have to be very careful ! 🧐
      Slight improvement with norez

This is my opinion. When using high density material as absorbent, they could absorb better. However, the down side is that the effective volume of the box is reduced because there is more material inside which possibly change the character of the speakers.
Very interesting pop the hood video Tee Jay! I'm impressed you seriously blocked every millimetre as you could 👍.

You definitely changed the volume and the bass response. They tuned the port dimensions based on the volume and driver. I imagine the tuning is higher now. The original fill probably made the volume seem larger and a lower tuning. Have fun.

The Comète doesn't have the brace that the BR03 has. The woofers are different as you pointed out. Soundstage measured a difference in sensitivity between the Comète and the BR03, which has a couple of dB more bass output.

I have both speakers Comete go louder. Comete a different level than bro3
The Comete is a much more dynamic speaker and the Comete speaker cabneit is larger .much more refinement with Comete but the Bro3 for the pricepoint is still a heavy hitter espically for pricepoint

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120

You have to remove beauty ring around the driver ! But be very very carefull the metal ring will crease easily when taken off ! 1ST ONE I TOOK OFF I CREASED THE METAL RING IN ONE SPOT ' THEY USED DOUBLE SIDED STICKY TAPE SO I HAD TO CAREFULLY HEAt RING UP WITH BLOW DRYER '

Haha, GR RESEARCH NO-REZ is an expensive waste of money. Its mostly expensive foam, with hardly any proper cabinet damping properties. You should have bought bitumen visco-elastic damping pads, at less than £3 UK pounds for a 300 x 200 mm x2mm thick. You can layer the pad thicknesses to your desired needs. You can buy thicker mm pads, and bin bigger sheet sizes, but those cost more, and you would have to cut those sizes down a lot more than the first one's I mentioned. You can then use the foam that was in the speakers originally if you want to and place over the bitumen visco-elastic pads. Those triangle loudspeakers, and other cheap speakers don't have metal inserts to bolt drive units to, so your screwing in to bare mdf through from the drive unit which is not good enough at all. Vibrations will loosen those drivers over time, and will continue to keep coming loose over time.
