I used to work in this area and there are some great people but most of northeastern NC is probably the most isolated place on the East Coast. You just don't drive down the road to a Walmart or McDonald's in many of these places
Very Quiet little township but was a lot more people when I was through this area 10 years ago. A lot looks closed Down now. Still not to bad looking. On to the next town. Remember after your Done with north and south Carolina you still got 48 States to Go 😂

Merchants Mill road down the road is the northern most point for Alligators. There are like 5 that live there
