It is a pleasure seeing North Carolina one town center at a time. You do a great job.
I do my best, and I’m trying to do better with each video, but I’m slow learner 🤣
Home town of my Dad, grandparents.
Nice little town thanks for sharing Timothy
You’re welcome, Kay. 👍
My favorite distillery is here. We stay in our RV every time we drive through!
That’s awesome 👍
Thanks for sharing! You are helping me learn about towns I have never heard of in NC! I may have to try to research about that big blue building to see what it was. That old house was very beautiful as well!
It would be interesting to learn about the blue building’s history.
Thanks for watching 👍
Right Timothy enjoy thanksgiving then Christmas 🎄
Definitely. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
That small stone building was originally the Bank of Weldon back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. There are a number of attractive buildings in downtown, but the little bank building is the gem.
Thanks for the info. The bank building looked like it may have been a stand alone building at one time before they attached the newer one to it.
Sad to say these little towns were once upon a time now. They are just barely getting by. Not to many people want to risk a chance with everyone buying online. I wonder what the next 50 years hold!
Hopefully we will start to spread our money around to more of the independent businesses. If not, a hand full of people will own everything.
Thanks for watching and posting 👍
SPENT 10 YEARS IN JACKSONVILLE. ITS BUILT UP QUITE A BIT BUT LOST A COUPLE OF TOWNS AROUND IT.
SEEMS WHEN THEY BUILD A CITY ITS "EVERYTHING CRAMMED IN ONE SECTION". RATHER THAN SPREAD OUT. THESE ARE GREAT FACTORY OR BUSINESS TOWNS.
