How is the hinge after a long term usage?
For years, I've been wishing all laptops came with micro sd card slot instead, because the standard sd card slot is never used without me looking for a jacket i hardly ever find in working condition. The space ends up packing cobwebs and spoiling out of lack of use.
Where are you using micro SD cards? Regular SD is used in photography and video cameras.
Has anyone found a review of the IPS version of this laptop? They don't sell the MiniLed version in my country.

These superb laptops makes gaming laptop mainstream. They pack all the power required but stealthy and professional.

Usually just in it for gaming. Light editing but not heavy software. I do like this too wished it was the Mothership design tho. Would be epic to see a PC tablet with extra performance.

Have you ever lifted and shake a bit of it on testing hinges tightness?
It's a 2-in-1 so it will definitely be looser than other normal hinges
This internals plus screen, slap it on m16 chasis will be one of the best clamshell laptop

There is one thing most of the review's I've seen on this thing are missing: the tent mode is billiant for gaming in controller based games such as FIFA or NBA 2K. What's more, if you're planning on gaming or watching movies on the go, especially in trains, this is the perfect format. That's why I will probably pick this over the otherwise fabulous Lenovo Legion Sim 7i 2023 and pick up the X16 4070 instead.
Hey there.. fellow content creator but in a wildly different market (High Powered Airguns). I just picked up the IPS / 3060 model from Best Buy on a crazy sale for $1099.99 ($900 off). Do you have any experience with that model? I have not seen anyone review that SKU, only the mini-led 3070 TI model. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any idea if those USB type c ports connect to the graphics card?
It's impossible to find a laptop that works with VR headsets with the intel 12th gen since thunderbolt 4 no longer connects to the graphics card and uses Optimus.
The one with DP capabilities connects direct to the gpu and has g sync

Some people are saying the screen is too bright in low light or dark rooms,even if you turn the brightness down,it's still too bright.
So if you have sensitive eyes,you should get the IPS version.

I'm deciding between a few differnt laptops. Currently have the m1 macbook air, I don't like the constraints of MacOS, so I'm currently looking into these laptops: Flow X16, Surface Pro 9, Hp Sprectre 360 14, which one would you reccomend?
I’d say either the X16 or the Spectre, Surface Pro 9 is honestly overpriced for a lot of the different configurations it comes in.

@@reverend_wintondupree I have the 3060 variant and played a little CSGO for a couple of hours and it feels cooler on flat table than the MSI GS65 Stealth playing same game. I just got it and it was the only game I played.

What's the battery life, is there a mux switch?

This might be a dumb question but, can you increase the RAM more, like for example, I bought the G14 with only 16Gb of RAM. The 8Gb is baked on the motherboard so only 1 is swapable..So common thought would be my max RAM is only up to 24. But I want to increase it more than that.. so, is it possible?
If you swap the 8GB with a 32GB stick you could get 40GB out of the system
64gb or 32x2 max... i already upgrade mine.. and it works with ddr5 4800mhz
I'm an Aerospace engineering students and have a 2019 G14. Looking for a new laptop to upgrade too since the new g14 is all AMD it doesn't quite have the versalitly a AMD + NVIDIA machine would have for my profession
Would be interesting to see the flow x13 Vs flow x16 both with 3080 xg mobile.
The difference in speed between the internal 3070ti and the external 3080 is not worth the price. IMHO. I think it shaved a few minutes off of an hour render. Just meh.
Where it excels is being able to render a large/complex scene AT ALL that won't fit in the internal 8GB card's VRAM. 16Gb of VRAM is insane, and absolutely worth it if you need it for GPU CompSci AI or 3D Rendering.
The announced 2023 version though... Wow. I might go for that one. Speed and VRAM.

Is the price difference and performance between the RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 Ti worth the price for the RTX 3070 Ti and already own the XG Mobile RTX 3080 for added performance? 🤔
If you already own the XG mobile I would save the money and just hook up your XG Mobile. Otherwise if you don't already own the XG mobile I would get the 3070 Ti version. :)
2 in 1 should be standard in every laptop be it so much bigger and heavier even then x16, or even much smaller, with sturdy hinges ofc, even if you/barely any1 would ever use them in tablet mode, the tent mode is the sleeper killer feature which would be great for any devices for additional cooling and practical placement...
im always on tent mode on the x1 yoga connect to monitor at work or home. save space better cooling

@@utkarsh1874 its freaking great for software development. i use it daily .how could it be that you think the ryzen 9 6900HS is slow. its ridiculously fast for a laptop.
in most places you can simply plug your laptop in. and even without power cable, if you deaktivate your graphicscard and dim your display a bit you get about 6-7h of battery life

I always have a power cable in my area, so not a big problem and on the go, I can sink the TDP.
Hate when a great lap top has AMD because no thunderbolt 😔 but wish AMD had thunderbolt so I could consider both. So Intel only for me.
Asus promised a software update for thunderbolt speeds by the end of the year.... but im not sure as that hasnt come yet

I would be so tempted to buy this laptop if it had a LAN port but it doesn’t and that’s kinda a deal breaker for me these days as someone who does a lot of work that involves networking into media servers and playback systems
There's also Ethernet to USB, the only downside is that you have to carry a dongle around.

@@mclefferson if that’s your only deal breaker I’d just get the dongle and stick with the x16. I’d imagine you’ll be carrying it around in some sort of bag when you’re traveling with it? If so it probably wouldn’t be that big of a hassle. If I’m wrong about you carrying it in a bag and you only use your hands then I guess I could see where you’re coming from. I just ordered the x16 3060 version cause the 3070ti sold out but I’ll b exchanging it for the 3070ti once it restocks. Seeing as I can just put everything on my one drive, it shouldn’t be too big of a hassle switching over. I hope you stick with the x16 tho and If you still haven’t bought a new laptop by the time mine comes in, I’d be happy to let you know how it is! Take care man 💯

Tbh. laptop is decent, but 16" size is kinda killed it for me, also it kinda overlaps itself with XG mobile GPU. It's not portable enough to be a daily go-to laptop, and when docked, it's already strong enough with 3070Ti and won't benefit much from XG mobile, hoping Asus throws in Flow X14 next year. X13 is okay, but it's too small, especially battery life for an on go laptop, IMO Flow X14 would be the sweet spot for me, but if not, I'll wait if they refresh X13 next year with improvement on battery life.

Pros:
1. I don't have to wait until I get home to a desktop with an Ultrasharp to edit photos. And given the age of the desktop (still on Skylake) not only will this be faster on HDR and, with the right GPU/XG Mobile, also faster on games.
2. Either I just upgrade to a faster monitor even without the same color range for HDR, or just go completely semi-mobile and have this on tent mode or screen mode (bonus: if it's cold then it will blow air towards my hands) on all video gaming at home given I use an extrernal keyboard at home. And I can also just ditch the laptop cooler with a fan if this will be oriented either way. Either way there's less of a need for a bigger monitor if I can sort of compensate for the smaller laptop display by having it closer to my head, if set a bit lower (as long as it doesn't make my neck hurt and I can lower my glasses enough, no problem).
3. If it's a more casual trip we can just set it on the dinner table folded instead of always having to hook it up to the hotel HDTV (which sometimes has inaccessible ports, and I've set off an alarm just hooking up an HDMI cable) to play Mortal Kombat etc.
4. XG Mobile. Possible to upgrade to an RX8700m or RTX5070 mobile later on.
Con:
Why no AMD Advantage Ed. I would have thought a 6700m or 6800m with 10gb or 12gb would be more useful if anyone's getting this with more creative uses in mind. Not to mention AMD and NVidia drivers have a tendency to go haywire when they're in the same machine starting with the old G14 not switching over to the 3060/3050 or in the review I can't seem to find, some kind of issue with either 6800m or 3080 XG Mobile.
the 2022 XG Mobile is AMD version. So you can pair it with the flow X16 to make it an AMD advantage laptop
I bought it and send it back on the next day. The display is really bad. on a grey Background you can see all the different LED zones. open a dark grey window and shift it around or hover the mouse arrow above it. you'll know what I mean.... I hope you're not sponsored by asus and mention the issue in the review.
That’s called multi-zone dimming. Switch to single-zone mode and that goes away.

@@zentiremusic123 just turn it on multi-zone when you’re playing games and switch back to single zone when you’re doing anything else? Literally takes like 5 seconds 😂
And single-zone still looks amazing on this panel. It’s not like you’re making a huge sacrifice by switching to that for basic tasks. That’s what it’s designed for.
@@JoshCravesTech for that price you have to compare it with the macbook pro. At least pricewise in europe. and you cant compare those two displays . The mac is in a different league. i was a mac user for the last decase but i have to switch to Windows because of some programs and the best laptop i tested so far was the zephyrus m16. its just my opinion....
