The Marshall "KERRANG" clearly restored, us Aussies are bless to have Jason , someone who really knows and understands these old Marshall circuits- tipping the Airborne boys will be inspired to write a whole lotta new riffs, congrats my man, you must be stoked to be resurrecting the arsenal of AUSSIE hard rock royalty..
Before had a more relaxed midrange and a little less gain. After has a more present midrange with better harmonic content and a touch more gain. Great improvements Jason!
Well, there was one of those weird plate fed superbass circuits - but it had already been 1/2 converted to a cathode follower. It will be featured for sure.
I love the fact that they let the amp do the work for distortion ,pretty sure Angus does the same, a few of my favorite guitar players growing up did the same ,but I will say that if you can get the same outcome at low volumes to practice thats badass as well
I have a Super Lead reissue (1990) that was modded by Suhr Amplification. It has no clean tone, just straight to break-up and I kinda wish it had some old school chime. It does however do some great metal tones without any pedals so I guess we just learn to love what we inherit!
Seemingly subtle sonic improvements but when all seven get taken care of what a sound it’ll be. Great sounding amp. That center tap ground. Lol. But hey it works. Curious if that ground scheme will go in the other amps. Looking forward to this series.
I saw Airbourne play over 10 years ago in a small club in Madison, Wisconsin. They both were using 2 Marshall stacks each. It was one hell of a loud and rocking show! Thanks Jason for the great work you do keeping these amps making the sounds we love!!
It still amazes me how circuit design with capacitors, resisters ect ect can either give you a great amp or a shit one?? Its a science i just don't get 😅
I'm surprised that the AIrborne guys don't use Axe FX or Line 6. We all know that Digital is superior to tube 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. Digital is also superior to Tubes 4x every week day and 8x every weekend day. Do these guys read? Do they get Guitar Player For The Practicing Musician? Can they understand more than one "command" function? Glad you got to work on these museum pieces. But you should really steer them towards great gear that makes their shows better, they will sound better and then they will sound more consistent. THAT is your responsibility to them. Tubes are for masturbation. Digital is for real sex. Tubes are for posters. Cardboard tubes. Digital is for REAL musicians who care about the fans getting consistent audio from show to show.
@@HeadfirstAmps I love beautiful women. AND I LOVE HEADFIRST AMPLIFICATION. Thanks for understanding me. I'm really not trolling you.............just trying to make people "think" But more than anything.........I think you are a great guy and you have a great company. ----Ben
Airbourne clearly know what they're doing bringing you those amps!

i got my soldano modded just in time! you took on a massive project with these marshalls, excited to see the next videos in the series.
Loved watching components fall over at 1:50...... gee what could be wrong? This darlin' has been thrashed on the road.

Man, this thing sounds so great.
This is beyond exciting! So cool thanks for terrific content and products.
Discoing Airbourne in 2007 was a watershed moment for me. Totally changed direction of the band I was forming at the time.
You lucky bugger !! This will be a quite enjoyable series
Thanks for all your love, effort and hard work you legend!!!!. Yes I have just finished a Rum and Coke, but nevertheless, very appreciative. Cheers.😊

Can’t wait to see the next videos. Any plate fed tone stacks amongst them.

I was just wondering the other day if you had ever taken a look at their Marshalls! Too cool!

good content, looking forward for more from this series. Btw you left red panasonics, do you think they sound different compared to mustards? Thanks!
The Panasonics sound fine

Very cool!
What's your way of testing caps for value and leakage?
I use an LCR meter
@@HeadfirstAmps awesome video. Thanks

full of complete garbage
I’m just going to assume this whole comment was satirical. Man, I hope ACDC switches to Fractal soon too, to really clean up that stage..
Ben loves to troll me
lol you just love egging him on with your fantasies from an alternate reality 😂
