- Fix Chipped Plate. How to glue broken pottery together. In this The China Repair Studio video, I will be showing you how I use Araldite glue to give a tight fit when glueing two pieces of pottery/ ceramic together, I will then be filling a missing piece with Milliput.
Join me and start learning the skills of ceramic, porcelain and pottery repair and restoration.

We all have a broken piece of pottery/porcelain lurking in our cupboards which we can all recycle and reuse.

Enjoyable videos. What I would personally love to see is from you is a couple videos on the entire repair process from start to finish with everything in between.
this may quite possibly be the stupidest question ever. I am repairing, using your tutorials, a very chipped set of Limoges China. I am ready to paint but am wondering if I can use it for the dinner ware that it is after the repairs are complete? Is the paint and glaze food safe and can it withstand hand washing. Thank you for the very detailed, excellent instructions.

It should be fine as long as you haven't used glue which will soften and weaken. I would recommend look at at the manufacturers instructions.

By the way, I want to purchase the araldite epoxy you linked to, but it looks like it may not be offered on amazon anymore. I can only find the fast, five minute version. Do you have a suggestion of another brand or version that would work as well for repairing ceramics? I live in the US.

You would have to look at the manufacturers instructions online.
I’ve had ok success with hardware putty that was also in 2 parts.

Great video, thank you !! I have one beautiful bowl I got free because it has a chip in it but I don't want to buy all these products I wouldn't use again. Is there something else I could use; I would only be displaying some beautiful faux fruit in the bowl so it won't be washed thus wearing away the repaired section which is about the size of a dime and unfortunately on the very edge of the bowl. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated !! 😊😊
I was trying to tell somebody about your videos. I wanted to show them the before and Afters and I’ve looked at seven videos and all I see is you filling in chips. I don’t see any of the before and after amazing painting jobs that you do when you fill in cracks and fix chips.I saw seven videos and none of them were finished. I don’t have any more time so I guess I won’t share them with her.
