I actually have a theory as to why Thomas was initially able to catch up to James in TAB and then struggled to do so again after switching tracks - James' brakes were clearly hard on and probably slowing him down slightly from the resistance against his wheels (not enough to stop the runaway, obviously), but by the time Thomas switched tracks, enough of the wood was burnt away that whatever little bit of deceleration he managed from them was slowly turning into acceleration.
@@a_blue_train That does really make sense. If we look at this realistically then Thomas wouldn’t have been able to go faster than 60mph I think. The E2s were very poor steamers and if we assume that he did go at about 60, then his steam would have been used up way before the crash. But, we can assume that he is somehow modified with a better boiler but, we don’t know what boiler. That means, due to a lower pressure boiler, Thomas might have not been able to reach 60. Anyways, that means that the out of steam thing would work. Let’s combine this with the theory above and we have a coherent argument to be made.
If these were later, I imagine Trampy would be on here. I think the rolling stock would generally have a face either end. I would've added Great Western Legacy's. Also T1E2H3's finale was late 2017, when BWBA announced his removal.
It's fantastic to see all of these comparison and talk videos since I discovered your channel here. Hope you'll be able to do more stuff on here. Weather they compare to the RWS, TV, and adaptations that share the same story and/or formate and maybe more fan story and their adaptations. I would like to see more on here, but it's your channel. You make the choice here. Until then, take care!
I think a good way to describe The Stories of Sodor is that it's a less whimsical version of Thomas. It delves into the societal ramifications of sentient vehicles existing, but the engines also frequently perform exorcisms, so you can't say it's more realistic.
I Just Love Both the Book & TV Versions of Edward's Exploit, A Timeless Tale of the Blue mixed-traffic tender engine Overcoming his Brutal Injury in a Storm to get his Train Home!
I wish we could get a Who Did It Better for “Mike’s Whistle”, even though there’s only three official versions: 1) The original story from 1967 2) A model era adaptation with the Skarloey Railway from 2002 3) The CGI adaptation from 2017
1:54:12 The reason for the two cuts (the reason I like to belive) Is that the first two trucks hit, then the next two hit into the first two causing a second hit So it's like getting hit twice with one line of trucks

I think that is true
Bc physics
My theory is a mix of this and a mini theory of mine that thomas uses most of his steam to catch up to james so it would be harder to catch back up

@@BoxtankEngine One more thing is that Thomas could've been slightly slowing down to avoid any unwanted pushing that would...accelerate the situation.
I'm still holding out hope for a Season 2

The trucks in the TV series are colorblind, that's why they couldn't see Peter Sam color.
That actually explains alot

I think that's a fair assessment of it. I'd say it has more well defined ground rules Thomas proper.
@@PlayDontPause what about your video of who did it better escape
The writers in the adventure begins just took the books rewrite the whole thing and make the events play out differently
The trucks could have been colour blind
Makes it easier to confuse Blue & Green when they all look grey
I have my own Thomas stories - mainly a Disney version.
Gotta tell you man. These are some of my favorite Thomas videos on YT, glad you put them all together here
Ringo Starr did US dubs in Thomas too.
Oh

7:39 yeah, I'm gonna watch the Japanese dub now.
yeah... I LIKE IT.
I keep mistaking Sir Handel for Skarloey in Railway Series illustrations.
I love complications

my favortie thomas and the breakdown train adaption is the one by caleb's trains
Funny thing, the OhmySodor adaptation is done in Train Simulator Classic.
I still rather like Edward The Very Useful Engine, even if it does show some backwards characterisation.
In the adventure begins it Robert hardstone and his son peter hardshowne really they did the music for the adventure begins
The twin engine's book doesn't make sense
The fat controller is getting 2 engine for the price of 1
1:25:26 I'm not sure side rod breaking and loosing a wheel count as crashes. It's more like… parts falling off.
DO A SEASON 2
Is there going to be a Season 2
I know someone is gonna put me on blast for this, but I do not like the model series. I like the CGI series.
Oh hello there mr PDP
1:50:14 What if i told you that this scene is actually an unused series/season 1 shot that was re-perposed.
I'd probably believe you. Not to sound rude, but there are some tell-tale signs that it's a season 1 shot.
I was expecting something original. A whole did it better on your favourite episodes. But we did at least get a “new” video so yeah that’s pretty cool
Ohh
CGI
NOT

Hi! Could i ask something?
Only if it doesn't involve politics, or the optimal flavor of cheese.
@@PlayDontPause Alright, It's if you would like to narrated a adaptation i'm doing
I think I could do that, sure.
@@PlayDontPause Cool, u Know the story 'Silent as the Grave.' That story, i don't really have a script at the moment so... Yeah i'll Try to Find one.
Shoot, you want ME to voice Silent as the Grave?
Well shit, I don't know how good a job I can do, but I'll give it my best shot!
Wow
