So fun!! I'm so happy to hear you're having fun learning cakes :) I've got a new series coming out called Cake Basics that I think you'll find really helpful so stay tuned!
I love this idea, I have my daughters birthday on the 11th and it's so difficult because she hates cream and butter icing. I can do the naked icing then do the chocolate running down the sides effect. Thank you so much for sharing. 😃
Hi there! You certainly can as long as it's the kind of whipping cream you would normally frost a cake with - just follow the same steps in this video.
Semi naked refers to the buttercream technique in the video! It just means the buttercream is "barely there," allowing parts of the cake underneath to peek through :)
All that is is a crumb coat and a cheap way to shave a few pennies off the cost to produce. But you can then charge more because people think it’s the newest thing. And yet it has been done since at least 1840.
Love your channel, I've just started this for fun, and your amazing at teaching! I watch a new video everyday! ❤

Can i do this with light and fluffy cream cheese frosting
Do you frost this on a fresh cake or one that has cooled in the fridge or out of the freezer to reduce crumbs?
Hi there! I crumb coat the cake first, refrigerate for 20 minutes, then frost a final (very thin) layer
It looks so satisfying
Yay!
Question, is this safe for the outside during summer time? 😢😂
Can I do this with other types of frostings instead of buttercream?
Yes you can use any frosting that you would normally use to frost a cake!
Can we make seminaked cake with wipping cream? Pls reply

Some people just don’t like too much buttercream, or fondant. It still takes skill to do, and I’m sure any cake retailer reflects that in the price! 😘
