How's it holding up after a few months
Strange you’d ask. Better than most of my high end stuff. Rock solid after 20+ hunts worth of no case atv riding. Pleasantly surprised.

The mini 14 is the one rifle that keeps eluding me. I always try to get one when people are panic buying. When things calm down I forget about it. I love those rifles.

Clarification on a Fitst Focal Plave Scope for newbies watching this. The math used for this reticle will work throughout all magnifications on a first focal plane (FFP) scope. With a SECOND focal plane scope (SFP) the math is only accurate on MAXIMUM magnification. Zero is zero at all magnification for both planes. Holds will remain accurate on a FFP throughout all magnifications as well.

Weird, I actually prefer the Reticle on the G2 vs the G3 I think i'm going to get this one since the G3 is out of stock with thier quick release mount... and it is cheaper. bonus.
We still use this rifle and optic more than anything else we hunt with. It’s held up surprisingly well.

you probably can't see the red because the bayer filter over the camera has 1/4 less red sensitive photosites than blue and green

10 months later is it holding zero?
It is indeed haha. It’s one of our few optics that has held exactly where we dialed it in that time frame. We were joking about it last weekend when we had to re-mount one of our other higher end set ups that has drifted/loosened.

I have the 1 4X24 on my slug gun, first time out hunting a small branch broke off the objective flip cap cover, I replaced it with a rubberized one from Monstrum from Amazon which is much stronger and better construction than the ones that came with the scope, this is an excellent upgrade for just over $10, check it out

Just picked up Monstrum 1x6x24. Going out Wednesday to zero scope . Think I paid $159- I was pretty impressed right out of the box . Mounted it to Brigade 9mm carbine I bought recently. At 62 , I needed the magnification 😂😂🍺🍀

@@ConcernedCitizen1957 I mounted to my Brigade 9mm carbine . Works well , 100yd-150yd banging steel. Very happy for inexpensive optic

My dad had an AR he never used so now I have it (he won't keep a gun he has no use for, which makes no sense because I've literally gotten up in the middle of the night at his house to find ferrel hogs in his front yard). Anyway, it's a Smith & Wesson M&P15 with the Magpul FDE furniture. The shop that sold him the rifle also sold him the tackiest "tacticool" scope you ever saw... rails all down the top and sides. It had to go so today I placed an order for one of these. FFP at $200 is pretty unheard of.
The packaging is horrible. No foam or padding at all

Appreciate it. We aren’t really group chasers but something about this optic makes it easy to shoot < 1 Moa. It’s hard to really nail down why, pretty awesome considering the price.
What size throw level do you need for one of these ?

@@UnprofessionalOutdoors i tried finding a size or a review somewhere about what throw lever size you need but to late I already ordered the scope and I ordered a vendetta Precision model B which fits 1.780"-1.825 inch, on the scopes adjustment dial.
just ordered one for the 16'' 5.56, pretty stoked to upgrade the 3rd world build into poverty build territory

Loctite 222 (purple) works great for all small screws. I use it on all my scope screws.

I am not aware of Monstrum aftermarket parts, sorry. Maybe check ebay. We find lots of niche replacements there.
