Shooting @ 1:32 Specs Overview @ 5:57 Quick overview of the Mossberg 590 Shockwave JIC in 12 gauge. I was interrupted by a very large group of snow geese. This thing is fun. This is a different kind of firearm. While it is a little hard to hold, and we're not sure exactly what it's best use is. it's definitely fun to shoot, so that works for us. I got distracted by a bunch of snow geese. Sorry.

Monstrum Tactical G2 1-6x24 unboxing and Palmetto State Armory 6.5 Grendel
I have had one for 3 years now. Had no idea it shot high because I’d never patterned it. I also have a Browning A5 and I can’t hit the side of a barn with it (sporting clays) with my SBE3 I rarely miss. I like to see my target so the high shot pattern is perfect for my shot preference. Great video.
Perfect for the rear storage box on my Yamaha Grizzly 700 SE. Can't beat it.
Why do I keep reading about slide bite on this Pistol? Do people not know how to grip it or what is the problem?
Honestly I think it’s just so little that most peoples hands naturally rest behind the slide.
@UnprofessionalOutdoors I see. Makes sense. Thanks
My only concern with this is that Elzetta specifically states on their website that this mount will NOT work with the 590A1. Your mag tube doesn't look like a factory 590A1 so I have to ask what is this all about? Obviously your gun looks like a 500 -590 but not like a true 590A1. ????
I was looking for the same info. His does not look like a 590a1 due to the barrel being blued not parkerized. So now I’m curious if it actually fits. Website says no.
@@chadhodson7976 It's works on a 590A1. I bought one and mounted it with a Surefire G2X Pro.
@@TZOID08 mine is a 590A1, it won’t fit on a 500 or 590
@@chadhodson7976 it’s a 590A1
@@UnprofessionalOutdoors ok, perfect. Thank you for the reply.
For some reason, my shells won’t feed into the receiver. They get stuck maybe an inch past the beginning of the tube closest to the receiver. However the only way to extract them is to push the locking pin, twist the magazine tube, and then all of a sudden the shells are able to by pushed by the spring as intended. However i obviously cannot shoot it that way because it’s now through half of the steps to be broken down. But that’s the only way the magazine operates correctly. When it’s fully assembled and the arrows line up, it seems like something is binding up. Do you have any idea what it could be?
How did the ELD-M perfom?
Everything runs great in the rifle except Remington core lokt.
I’ve been eyeballing these but $1000 is STEEEEP. Like $500 more than what I’d want to pay.
It is pricey, but still very much worth it in my opinion. Still use it regularly and have never regretted buying it.
I'm torn between this and just stuffing foam into my Ops vest haha!
Is it possible to put a QD cup on the bottom of the bayonet lug where you originally had the sling installed?
What size scope rings do you use on this?
Thank You it was my first gun also, i was 12 and it was 1964 Springfield 187 and i think it is the same. Maybe produced for Springfield Arms spent a lot of time with it and GREAT memories!
Do you get a proper cheek weld when using the low basset mount
With the low mount and the riser on the stock it’s a perfect weld 👍
@ what about just using the stock?
Is that the low basset mount
I got mine when I was 9 in 1970, I had it totally redone and spent 675.00 it’s better than when it was new, cost 28.00 new but it was my 1st gun , I was king of the timber when I 1st got it , you could buy a 50 round box for .50 cents, though the gun isn’t worth much , it is to me because of the memories, the gun smith I had do it laughed and said of all the guns he has reblued , this gun took perfectly , I shot it 15 shells , cleaned it and put it up, I never had any issues with gun ever , I must of got a good one, it says Springfield/Savage . Holds a special place in my life, it will be in my collection forever.
@@722DL thanks for sharing, that’s awesome. I recently brought mine out to the range and it had no problems. It’s a fun little plinker.
Bed the action in the stock and shim the gas system. It'll shoot MOA.
Thanks for the comment, perfect timing. Starting that project in January. I just love the rifles too much not to!
As of today, i recently aquired one from my grandpa, honestly, having previous experience from other shot gun its pretty easy to take apart
Pretty cool to read all the comments about everyone inheriting one from their grandfather. My dad gave me his fathers (my grandfathers) a few years ago. I've never cleaned it, and I have zero idea when it was last cleaned. I took it out to skeet shoot back in 2003/2004 and it miss fired a few times and has sat since. Luckily, I had a new Remington 870 to use. I'm guessing the Winchester needs something replaced as well as a good clean in order to work well again.
@@coltonstark8379 you’d be surprised what a thorough cleaning can do. This thing had some ejection issues that cleared up after breaking it down and cleaning it.
@@UnprofessionalOutdoorsjust pulled it out and it’s the model 25 rather than the 12 like I thought. I’ll have to look up some directions and try giving it a clean and see what happens.
A useless platform, and it is a FALLING BLOCK.....

Welp after a hour and 3 tall boys i finally got the son of a bisshhh charging perfectly 😂. Fuck do you have to be precise wow
@@devins4081 haha yeah it’s a temperamental gun.
I bought from a friend. If you want to replace cables and string, make sure they are made for the 'infinite edge PRO' version. They are different lengths to the original infinite edge.
@@blueyhanson6253 good to know, thanks
Thank you!!!
Crush washer actually isn’t important to replace so much as making sure there is one. A lack there of would make it leak but reuseing them is perfectly fine
I’ve used the one I currently have for 4-5 oil changes now lol. But I still don’t want to recommend it to anyone and have some freak problem occur.
Any issue with the mag tube not feeding properly if the light mount is over tightened?
@@scrullz8863 yes! I used Loctite since I had to bad it out a little and didn’t want it coming loose
Italian shotguns and euro always have 70/30 or 60/40 ratio which is always higher over the bid American shotguns 50/50 ratio

@@1776goodfight that’s a steal!
This is the best explanation of disassembly and assembly of the Model 12 that I have seen. I bought a 16 gauge 1936 Model 12 from a friend some time ago and have hunted upland game and shot clays with it for several years. I have taken it down and put it back together several times, but i didn't know some of the tips given in this video. Nice job. BTW, I think there is a shell stop in the magazine. If you push the shell in a little bit further past the loading ramp, it will be held in the magazine, without coming back to rest against the loading ramp. But either way works.
@@jamesheimer1866 glad it helped, thanks! And thanks for the tip on the shell stop. Did not know that.
i have a 187n that has the bolt stuck forward with the spring assembly still attached to the back but am unable to pull it out from the rear.is there a lever or somthing that needs to be pushed for the spring to release, pulling the trigger does not fire , it is unloaded
has anyone used any of the shims that come with the gun? from what i understand you can solve theses issues with the shims
I’ve heard the same so many times, but have yet to hunt with, or even met, someone who has actually shimmed it lol.
When you say real quick, you get on the Haywagon they give you percentages of where your pattern is going to be
Thanks brutha, you helped me get my great aunts 1931 model 12 get broken down and serviced for squirrel season! I’m 42 and haven’t shot it since I was 17 lol!

The thumb strip won’t seat properly on my stock for my 590a1 any pointers?
@@adryanalcaraz9425 if the bolt is screwed all the way in then the strip should just click in. Maybe it’s defective or damaged? I’d reach out to Magpul and see if they would replace.

What size socket?
“European Style” ha, this is a cover up for a design flaw. They have since got the patterns down to 60/40 over the past few years. But some new SBE 3s were shooting 90/10 which is 100% unacceptable.

If you have no idea which gun you want then it’s better to buy a plastic striker as a first gun. You will understand how much you need a handgun If you like shooting and carrying handguns then try 1911 or 2011… 1911 is way more complicated platform and more expensive handgun. If you like to own a real nice handgun then 1911 is your choice. I am not a super big fan of 1911s I just owe a dozen… just a fan
Very well put.
