@@TheMoeeShowim there now lol marten aint allat. but i just got my hazmat and tanker..i have a year tractor trailer exp but not sure who to try living in florida.
I haul for pilot over here in Arkansas. What I’ve found is we are a low end company in terms of pay and affordable insurance. It’s laid back job dispatch don’t bother you or nothing but it’s not a long term place for me. Looking to get my own rig going after my wife and I have our next child. Good luck on your next stop along your journey brother
What’s the starting pay and is there pay differential between day shift and night? Only position available that’s closest to me is DEF driver but I plan on job shopping once it gets closer to Christmas time.
@@itzdredae5450 i will say this though. I made the swap to day shift almost a month ago and I’ve been running consistent 12 hour days and about 7-8 hours on my day off every weekend and I’m bringing home 1500 after taxes and insurance
similar thing happened to me during covid I worked for a kidney dialysis delivery company and they promised me time off for the birth of the daughter (6 months ahead of her due date). When her due date came they wouldn't let me have the time off they promised and said I wasn't at the job long enough to qualify for it (FMLA) so I got fired and got COVID unemployment which was $900 a week at the time for a year straight lol. I went from slaving during COVID in the heat delivering to home patients, clinics, etc 90 degrees with a mask on going up and down steps with dollys of liquid to sitting at home getting checks for doing nothing but watching my daughter go from a newborn to a toddler + I only had my class B with that job. Not only did I get paid to sit around for a year after they fired me, I got my class A for free and now I haul fuel making 100k+ a year 😂
Fuel hauling sucks. It has an appeal to drivers who come off the road and want to be local but most look at the hourly pay and think of all this money they going to make. There is a lot more behind the scenes to consider though. It’s very physical, dirty and there is an extreme danger of injury. On top of that if you have a family your life will suck. Been doing the job for 5 years now, 2 of them with pilot and they are a horrible company. I am ready to quit now and go back to being a regular person that actually has time to spend with my family and do other things outside of work
I’m in phoenix right now opening a new yard and it’s hot out here, our main yard is in riverside so I completely understand. Pro, pilot are pretty big out here.
Good luck Moe . Enjoying the journey. See if there is a Sunoco hiring they pay really well and excellent benefits. They start at $29 ot after 8 hrs. Guaranteed 10 hrs a day no matter what. So everyday you get ot 8 reg and 2 hrs of ot. Unless you work more hrs.

Frito Lay screwed me over in a similar way. They said I could work in Nashville, transferring from Minnesota. Then, MONTHS later, the time came, I moved, and they told me I needed one year with Frito Lay to transfer. They NEVER Told me this, after I kept them aware of my intentions for literally months, until after I moved. I worked there for 7 months, so if this was a rule, they should've been aware it wasn't even close and told me up front.
