Visiting THE BEST Markets In Thailand

In this video we're visiting two of the best markets in Thailand.
Both the Maeklong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market are popular attractions near Bangkok, Thailand, offering unique shopping and cultural experiences.
We also hop on a boat at the Amphawa Floating Market in the evening for an awesome experience that we hadn't planned for; catching Fireflies!
Maeklong Railway Market:
The Maeklong Railway Market is located about 80 kilometers southwest of Bangkok, in the town of Samut Songkhram.
What makes this market so unique is that it's situated along an active railway track. Several times a day, a train passes through the market, and vendors quickly retract their stalls and goods to make way for the train, only to set them up again once the train has passed.
The market sells a variety of fresh produce, seafood, meats, snacks, and souvenirs.
Visitors can witness the fascinating sight of vendors swiftly moving their goods as the train approaches, making it a popular spot for tourists and photographers.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market:
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is one of the most famous floating markets in Thailand, located in Ratchaburi Province, about 100 kilometers southwest of Bangkok.
The market is set up on a network of canals, where vendors sell their goods from boats laden with fresh fruits, vegetables, cooked food, souvenirs, and traditional handicrafts.
Visitors can explore the market by boat, immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere and experiencing traditional Thai culture.
It's best to visit the market in the early morning to avoid the crowds and experience the market at its liveliest.
Apart from shopping, visitors can also enjoy boat tours of the surrounding canals, providing glimpses of rural life along the waterways.
Both markets offer unique and memorable experiences for visitors to Bangkok, showcasing the rich culture, traditions, and vibrant lifestyle of Thailand.

I'm Thai and I can honestly say that floating markets are a bit pricey beyond standard prices. You should consider the price and ask the price before you order it. You are right that you negotiate or decline trades when they keep dropping the price. Because he's not honest with you. We are working to address the issue of tourist exploitation in this location. Because they don't seem to cooperate in impressing tourists. They do too much business. And it is difficult to inspect because it is difficult for officials to access because it is a canal. If you want to shop at a reasonable price You should go to the local market.❤😊

The pricing seems fair to me. If both parties consent. It is undoubtedly less expensive than in your nation. I saw a lot of foreigners attempting to bargain for free meals or haggling over the cost of it. For your money, Thai food is quite affordable.

Sure thing. We went to the train market around 10:30am to catch the 11:10am train. It came right on time.
We went straight to the floating market from there, so it was early afternoon. We hung around the train market for 10-15 minutes after the train passed and the ride to the floating market took 25 minutes or so.
