- We had heard a lot of good things about the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, but even more bad things! We decided to test our luck and go anyway. It's just an hour from Bangkok, what could go wrong?!

The train market is Maeklong Railway Market, about an hour from bangkok. The big tuktuk had some sort of bus stop at the very end if the road leading to the floating market.
I went to all these markets about 17 years ago and even back then they were already just tourist traps that didn't even try to cater to ordinary Thai people in any way... I wouldn't even bother walking past today...

Hi. How much did it cost you to go one way to the market?
To get to the market it was 120 baht, then the boat ride was 200 baht (for 2 people)

The motor boats are the scams with 800-1000B per person

Boats are 400-500B per person. Surpise you got it down to 200B
Going in 3 weeks : been there multi times but first time with family LOL! Going to do all the “other stuff “ this time.
