    His biggest asset is he really knows how to drive and he knows how things work, he has no special equipment, it's not necessary when you know what the heck you are doing. Lot's of respect.

      If you watch enough, you’ll see that the banana is highly modified, with suspension upgrades and a purpose built stroker motor (upgraded from 4.0 to 4.6). So yes, Matt knows what he is doing off-road, but he has purpose built tools as well, as one would expect. The ability to modify the Cherokee platform and run it hard at a relatively reasonable cost is what makes is so attractive.

      That's exactly what happens to a lot of Jeep owners but this guy looks like he has money to burn. I mean the auto dropping running boards c'mon. If he can buy them he'll just pay to get it fixed and if it breaks down so what? His biggest concern will be how long he has to wait to get rescued. But yeah I've seen some weekend warrior Jeep owners go off road, scratch it up a little and that ended that. Never again.

      Its not the hooking that is the problem, but pulling a heavy trailer on soft sand from stand still, say he would not be able to pull it, if the truck remained hooked it was easier to pull them both because he could gain some speed and energy in the rope, rope acts like a spring.

    @Skinflaps_Meatslapper 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like it might be handy to have one of those hand truck things with a set of little wheels for moving around trailers custom made and reinforced, so if you got a stuck trailer that's unhooked you could just lock it into the ball hitch, attach a reinforcement bar to the trailer tongue with a simple clamp or u-bolt, lift the jack up to put the weight on the hand truck thing, and hook the recovery rope up to it. The part that hooks up to the trailer would have a simple pivot for the wheel underneath to rotate, and the wheel assembly would have a bar on the front of it for the strap. It would be steered by tracking wherever the strap is being pulled from, and that would be the limit of your control, but if you're in soft sand it'll be braking on its own and won't go cruising right into the back of the recovery vehicle. All you're really doing is supporting a castering wheel under the trailer tongue so it can roll when you give it a tow, it doesn't need to be complicated. Could be designed in a way that breaks down small for storage and adjusts for different trailer dimensions, just toss it in the back if you get a call that involves a trailer.
