- In this video I show you how to SILENCE the Iceriver KS3L Kaspa mining ASIC! I go through step by step instructions on how to install a Fruition Designs kit on your Iceriver KS3L, KS3M, or KS3 Kaspa ASIC!! This kit is amazing! It allows you to ELIMINATE the NOISY and POWER HUNGRY stock fans, and install a MUCH more efficient and much quieter AC Infinity inline fan! In this video I also FAFO with AC Infinity silencers to see what set-up works best to quiet my KS3L Kaspa ASIC! After trying many different combinations I found what works best and allows the KS3L to run VERY efficiently, and nice stable optimal temperatures... and best of all IT'S FINALLY QUIET!!!

Would you get an ASIC miner if they were quieter?
I think this is every miner's concern, this is why i pre-ordered a JASMINER X16-Q as power and noise levels are perfect for home use. Though a little pricey unfortunately.

My decision on purchasing my first miner (IceRiver KS3M) hinged upon the noise pollution being too loud. After watching this video, it’s a “go” for me to pull the trigger. Come next month, my miner should be in operation and silenced with the products you showcased. Thank you!!!☺️

The Frution Designs kit doesn't come with a fan or a silencer. You will need to buy those seperate from the Frution Designs kit itself. I use the S8 or T8 AC Infinity fan series on mine and a single silencer on the intake side.

Not sure if you noticed, the ASIC will slowly step down the fan speeds on their own after a reboot. Default is auto mode.
It takes my KS1 approximately 35min to slowly step down to 3000 rpm.
Hey there! Yes, good call! They eventually will slow down on their own. But for me, it always took forever and it always seemed to overshoot. One time I checked on mine a few hours after a reboot and the thing was SCREAMING along at 83% fan speed. Intake temps at 31 and exhaust temps at 41. Totally overkill :-0 Wasting power and making way too much noise lol
Use a carbon filter on the intake side. The small loss in flow is made up with the lack of dust on your hashboards
That's a great idea 💡 I don't mind a small bit of loss in flow if it'll keep the hashboards clean
@GreaterGoodMining you won't need the silencer on the intake side anymore with the filter. It does that too and should be even quieter.
hi, are you sure the filter reduces the noise that much? because I would like to reduce the cost, delivery and import costs are very high. I thought I would only put intake filter + S8
100% . I mine in my house and not in a basement so ambient noise is always considered
a correct sized carbon filter will not reduce airflow
but i would use a normal dust filter for ventilation ducts, then you can replace the filter for a few dollars a couple of times a year..
a carbon filter only makes sense if we are removing smells, a dust filter should always be mounted infront of the carbon filter, or else you have to oversize it to make up for dust
better to spend the money on duct silencers and isolated ducting then on a carbon filter
How are you getting 2600w? I just saw red panda mining stream and he was still getting 3325w.
This was a KS3L. They pull less wattage than a KS3M. Also, the fans use a lot of wattage. The Fruition Designs kit takes the burden of running the fans off of the power supply. Can you turn off the PSU fans, since the air is going through there too?
You would have to find a spoofer for the mini fan and you would have to fabricate a other way to mount the shroud. The shroud mounts to the fan casing. Not worth the effort at all

The Fruition Designs kit comes with them or here's a link if you want to purchase them on there own. you need at least 4 of them. I'd recommend buying the 10 pack for back ups because they can go bad occasionally. You don't want to risk downtime amzn.to/3LuOIRH

I'm 2 chicken to test that out for myself lol The AC Infinity fans are much higher quality and would be more reliable than the stock garbage fans they include

That wouldn't help. I show in the video the best sound dampening set up by using a decibel meter
@@GreaterGoodMining I am aware of how you were testing, it was in the video. The point was add the second muffler to the first then check the db meter for a much lower sound level
@jrosesftv the noise comes from the AC Infinity fan which is on the intake side of the ASIC
Have you looked into liquid block cooling?
No I havn't looked into that. This set up is efficient and works well for me so I havnt looked much further
does the shroud kit help temps or mainly noise?
It helped both for me. The fans are more powerful, better concentrated force and more efficient than the stock fans
@@GreaterGoodMining thanks for the reply. board 1 chip 2 was the problem chip and was heating up to 94 within 3 hours. i just did the thermal paste and it seems to help almost all the chips, but now board 3 chip 2 is heating up to 94 pretty quick . i’m hoping the shroud kit can keep the problem chips around 85
@brandonjdean are you sure you didn't just swap the order of the boards around? I wonder if you put the hashboard with the bad chip into a different slot?

Why didn't you remove the PSU fans? Is it a must to keep them?
It's not recommended by Fruition Designs. You'd need to find a solution to tell the PSU that the fans are still operational. You'd need to come up with custom alternate mounting hardware that isn't provided in the kit. Not really worth it. The kit works great as you can see without the extra steps!
what is the total length of your t8 , 2 silencers, hoods and asic?
I took the 2nd silencer off. Right now the length is 4 foot 1 inch long with the Fruition Designs kit, the T8 fan, and one silencer. If you added the 2nd silencer, back on it would add another 17 Inches to the total length

Massively quieter. I couldn't run MY KS3 or KS3M without this kit. It would be too loud in my garage that is right next to my living room

Do you have the new KS5L? If so, have you tested the kit from Fruition with it? The kit for the KS3M fits for the the KS5L however, it seems like the fan emulators do not work as I have been getting the Abnormal Fan message. Thank you in advanced.

@@CBBTECH I have the KS5L up and running now and it does run with the abnormal fan speed message. It does run a bit hotter than the KS3M but seems to be just fine honestly.

hello ! If I adapt that system in my iceriver miner, does it reduce the reward amount? What stops is that before it gave me 532 coins, now that I adapt that system, it gives me 222! does it have something to do with it?
No this kit wouldn't have anything to do with a reduction in reward. Did you check in the web gui to make sure all your hashboards are running and you are getting the expected hashrate? Also have you ran it for more than 24 hours after installing the kit? The pool usually reports an average of 24 hours. If your machine was off for any portion of the last 24 hours to install the kit, your 24 hour average will look lower

It's better then how the ks0 lock to 0 on a reboot. Ice rivers firmware seems to just be trashy is all maybe an update will come along
I agree. I wish they would default to the users last setting. My 1st batch KS0 and KS1 have firmware that makes them default to the settings that I saved last
I put the same silencer kit on my KS3M and now all of a sudden my hashrate is at 0 and it says that the 5mins hashrate is being “Abnormal”. Did anyone have similar experience?
Did you wait longer than 5 minutes? Because it usually takes a while for shares to be accepted. You should usually just look to see if uou are getting any accepted shares and not look at the 5 minute hashrate while your machine is booting up
I’ve been waiting for 4 days and nothing happened… my hashrate was 0 and I didn’t receive any KAS into my wallet.. the funny thing is when I turn my Fan into sleep mode the 5mins hashrate is again normal but still 0 in hashrate

I got the kit for the KS3L with the 2 fans, but the holes for the PSU are slightly off, did you have this issue?
No mine lined up perfectly. It sounds like Iceriver might have slightly different 3 fan PSU's out there. Starting to wonder if there are also some slightly different 2 fan PSu's in circulation. We're you able to get it to line up enough to have it work?

It's not officially listed on Fruition Designs website but the KS3M is basically just an overclocked KS3L. It should work, but I can't guarantee it
