    Mining Bitcoin at home can be worth it under certain circumstances, but it's important to carefully consider several factors before making a decision:
    Cost of Electricity: Bitcoin mining requires significant computational power, which consumes a substantial amount of electricity. If the cost of electricity in your area is high, it could eat into your potential profits and make mining less economically viable.
    Mining Equipment: The efficiency and performance of your mining equipment play a crucial role in determining profitability. Specialized mining hardware, such as ASIC miners, is more efficient at solving the complex mathematical problems required for mining Bitcoin. However, these machines can be expensive to purchase, and there is also the ongoing maintenance and operational costs to consider.
    Difficulty Level: Bitcoin mining difficulty adjusts approximately every two weeks based on the total computational power of the network. As more miners join the network, the difficulty increases, making it harder to mine new coins. Higher difficulty levels can reduce the profitability of mining, especially if you have limited computing power.
    Price of Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin is highly volatile and can fluctuate significantly. If the price is high, it can make mining more profitable, but there are no guarantees regarding future price movements.
    Competition: The mining industry has become increasingly competitive, with large-scale mining operations dominating the market. These operations benefit from economies of scale and access to cheaper electricity, making it challenging for individual miners to compete effectively.
    Considering these factors, it's essential to perform a detailed cost-benefit analysis, factoring in your electricity costs, equipment expenses, and potential returns based on current market conditions. Additionally, keep in mind the potential risks and uncertainties associated with cryptocurrency mining.
    In recent years, some individuals have turned to alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) that are easier to mine with consumer-grade hardware, as they may offer better profitability. It's important to research and understand the specific mining requirements and potential returns for any altcoin before investing time and resources.
    Ultimately, mining Bitcoin at home can be a complex endeavor that requires careful planning, investment, and ongoing monitoring. It's advisable to stay informed about the latest developments in the mining industry and assess your own resources and circumstances before deciding to mine Bitcoin at home.

      Good point he was doing normal voice talking right next to it .. sometimes the DB numbers are misleading because some noice are high pitch even at 60Db and you have to talk loud, and high pitch noice is very annoying versus just a breeze noise from the ACI fan.

    Red Panda Mining another great review, finally you get to experience what I have been experienced for years now mining is houses and apartments with big boy Bitmain asic! cost a ton less than immersion cooling system that does have allot of fans as well anyways, also for all Bitmain miners the PCB/CHIP temp auto safety shutdown is 85-90c, some older miners with older firmware starts at 80c .. but normally it’s close to 90c the miner will shutdown and in the logs note overheating shutdown does not matter want the fans RPM is, the onboard temp sensor determine when to shutdown the miner nothing todo with the fans.

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But yes if you fans does not pass safety check the miner will not start and or if it’s running the miner will stop regardless of the temperature.

    I've been running these kits on my S19 XP without the back/exit shroud. The back/exit shroud limit the air flow. Without back/exit shroud, I can run fan speed 8/10 instead of 9/10 or 10/10. Lower fan speed means lower noise.

      Just remember running 3rd party firmware takes a percentage of your hashrate as dev fees upto 3% depending on who release the software, with quality fun spoofers you will not have any issues, I have been running them for years, and the amount of money I would less running 3rd part software would cost 1000x more than the fan spoofers, so please don’t just run a 3rd party software just to eliminate the spoofers, I am in this game to make all the money I can earn, not giving a dime where I don’t have to.

    I've been running these kits on my S19 and braiins os. Curious if the L7 power consumption increases with chips temps like the s19 does. I have my S19j pro 104th at 110th and chip temps in the mid 60's uses about 3100-3200 watts but as the temps get up to 75-80, power consumption climbs to 35--3600 watts.

    • @oSTYNCLSYo

    You can use Home Assistant to interface with any Antminer and read the outlet temperature and change the mode to lowpower or sleep as desired, I use this to control my L7, s19Jpro+, K7 and KA3 and change the mode to lowpower if a certain temp of the outlet is reached, I also use this to put them to sleep mode when Electricity charge are high during the day. Lot of automation can be done with Home Assistant.

  • @MinedCapital

    I'd be curious to see if one 8 inch fan could cool two Asics. It would obviously require a different adapter to go into two asics but might be enough air flow. Then you wouldn't have to have a $180 fan for each Asic.

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The output air temps would not be good as input air temps for another miner, and if we custom make a shroud for two miners side by side the volume of air needed would be at the max setting of an S8 fan and even then environmental temps needs to be good to start with, but with the ACI S10 10” fan that would be possible but it’s a louder fan at max RPM than the S8 fan.

    • @GemCityRCOutlaws
      @GemCityRCOutlaws ปีที่แล้ว

      why not just take the money from the $500 setup for each asic and just build a mining specific building where noise isnt an issue OR OOORRRRRR just pay someone $50 to cad the file for you and then print as many as you want for pennies....
      this is a terrible idea,hard pass paying $242 +S&H for a 3d print,which need i remind everyone get soft with heat.

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@GemCityRCOutlaws that’s because doing so would not make any financial sense, why pay more monthly for a building when you already paying for where you live? One time investment vs paying someone else monthly makes no sense and recently I close one of my mining location in an apartment and I sold my ACI fans and made back 70% of the amount I purchased them for .. it’s an win win solution nothing else makes sense do the math, immersion setup coughs a lot and still have fans on the radiator, there’s no demand for it when you decide to sell the setup and if you do sell it it’s going to be at a significantly reduced price plus the cost of shipping it is insane, and again pay monthly for a building is a waste of money does not make financial sense for any small mining farm with under 100 miners.

    Adding that silencer will help a bunch, adding some ducting will help as well.
    On the thermostatic controlled variants you can set a base fan speed, then when the sensor detects its above a certian temp it rams up to 100%.
    Mine is set to ramp up when ambient temps hit 80° but runs constantly at 60% fan speed below that point
