Top notch report lads, so happy to see y'all dive into batreps.
-Sean
Thanks Sean, the dream would be to have a collab game one day!
This is a GREAT battle report. Love the production
Thank you! More to come!
My favorite battle report I've seen on TH-cam so far, way to go Into The West keep it up!
Thanks Andrew, hope you like the next one!
Really enjoyed this with the breakdown of each turn. More please
We will definitely look to make more given the positive feedback so far!
I'm just starting to get into MESBG and love your channel. The formula you have for your batreps is *chef's kiss*. I love how you only show important dice rolls, have a quick summary of each phase with some visual notes, and then wrap up each round and the game with some thoughts and a wrap up. I have watched a lot of batreps, and I think you've unlocked the perfect formula here. I look forward to viewing more. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words. Hope you enjoy all our other battle reports on the channel!
Excellent report, especially for your first one! The model counter in the corner was really nice so we always have a sense of where the battle is sitting. I thought the little speech bubbles and overlays were fun, too. Finally, right around 30 minutes is an excellent length. You should be proud of this!
Thanks for the great feedback!
Really enjoyed this. Great looking models, nice table, good commentary plus crazy editing and special effects. I don't even want to know how long it took to edit this video. Really good work. Small thing I really liked was the Heroic Stat bubble. That really helped follow along. Too bad for the Corsairs, but that's what happens when a big hero stays on his mount for the entire game.
Thanks Don! It took way too long to edit, as I was learning on the go, should be faster and hopefully even better on the next one.
-Richard
Thanks boys! just what i needed! great content and camera work
Thanks Chief!
Great video guys, good production value :)
Thank you!
I love this format. Even a 800pts game with 2 swarm armies would easily be kept to under an hour, which is a plus.
Thanks! We love our 800 points but that's going to be a lot of editing so going to work our way up there slowly haha
Really nice battlerep, would love to see more!! Nice with the commentary and some nice effects. Actually makes it alot more fun to watch :)
Thanks for the kind words, we're definitely going to make this a regular segment in our show now!
Amazing first battle report. Loved the production that went into this, a pleasure to watch!
Using TTS die rolls to show roll results is a really unique idea
Thanks for tuning in!
Enjoyed this unique format of battle report! Especially liked the post game stats at the end, as you don’t normally see that in any reports!
I think at 500 points I’d have made a few changes to the corsairs of Umbar! I think I much prefer to go 100% throwing weapons. Those daggers normally win me so many games!!
Thanks!
I like throwing daggers too, but unfortunately without winning priority it was hard to take advantage of this game!
Keep doing these report they are great! also nice to see corsairs an unique army
Thank you, we definitely will!
Great report, really like the pace for combat phase.
Looking forward to the next one!
Damn I really like the production, how everything is shown on screen, etc. Great work!
Thank you, stay tuned for the next one, the production quality will be even better!
Excellent report, especially the commentary as we go through. Great for newer and more experienced players. Thanks for sharing!
Nice bat rep. Looking forward for more!
Class guys. Bozza is a weapon
Outstanding report. Excellent graphics
Realy love your format. I hope you will make more battlereports and get even better! :)
Much appreciated! Absolutely, the second battle report is in the works and there are many more improvements!!
This format is fire! Love the content so far
Thank you! Hope to have at least one of these out every month!
Wow nice production ! I noticed your shrine even had some of the 'lesser books' .
Good eye, yeah we've been in the game for a long time!
Awesome vid. Cool to hear the analysis, lovely models!
Thanks for watching!
this was realy well done. Liked the music and the narration. You can see that alot of work went in here, looking forward for more :)
p.s. i realy like the play by play commentary, realy interesting idea.
Much appreciated, more on the way!
I think Evil lost a massive chance at 7:03. If Evil had disengaged that would have been 3 crossbows and 6 throwing weapons (1 with Might) into Boromir. Very high chance that would have been a dead horse and no heroic combat.
Crazy high quality report, guys, keep it up!
That's a good call, I did think briefly about not fully committing to the charge that turn but I hate being backed up in this particular scenario. In retrospect, it probably would've worked out better for me.
Thanks for watching!
-Richard
Top content, really easy to follow up everything
Top quality bat rep. Love the stats throughout and the fifa style breakdown at the end! Goes well with the football pundit style you guys have here.
Yee, glad you noticed the sporting style, that was what I was aiming for! Thank you!
-Richard
Wow great job, amazing armies and board :D
Thanks!
excellent batrep , really liked the displays of dice rolls and MFW usage .
Thanks! Next one is coming next week! :) Bigger and better!
Well done. I like the commentary between truns.
Best battle reps on the Internet! I need more! Hope you guys are up to more of this soon :)
Thanks! The next one is in the works 🙂
Dude this is insane editing, great content, you guys should do more of these.
Thanks! We currently have 6 other battle reports on the channel. Check out our Battle Reports playlist!
i quite liked the extras on this, especially the stat trackers. very helpful. good game guys.
Thanks! We have a rematch coming to the channel very soon - keep an eye out!
Great job! Love the format!! Love the stats
Thank you!
Amazing battle report!!
Thank you!
Very cool batrep! Great work =)
Appreciate it!
Great battle report, especially all of the quality of life improvements for viewers

Nearly 1000 subs! Leeetss gooooo! 😎
Yeeee buddy 🙌
Nicely painted.
Thank you! Models painted by @heroichighlights.
amazing setup and walkthrough of the game.
Thank you so much! The next one is in production! :)
Really enjoyed this format, sorry it’s taken so long to get round to it! My only slight criticism was the number of ads - it felt near constant!
Fair criticism, I'm sure you've looked into it yourself, the slots are supposed to be only "potential ad placements" and I've read that most of that time there's only maximum of 2 for the avg viewer. But if there's more than that, perhaps I can look into cutting a few of those out. Thanks for the feedback!
-Richard
Incredible battle report! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better one?! 😃
Thank you so much, that means a lot! Personally, I'd like to think our battle reports have improved over time since this was the first one. But glad you enjoyed!
-Richard
Awesome! We need to hook up for some reports in the future. 😎
Big fans of your content as well! That would be great, we are based on the west coast of NA.
@@intothewestpodcast We love the pod, excited that you’re delving into battle reports!
We’ve played a few of you guys when we came up to the Smaug tournament a few months back in Seattle! We’re in the Salem/Portland area down south in Oregon. :)
Awesome, this can definitely work out then! :)
Highest quality Battlereps on TH-cam!!
🙏
As someon who plays Corsair against a player that mostly plays Boromir Minas Tirith, i felt those lost priority into my soul.
Great battle report, quality stuff all over the place.
I do have a doubt, in 15:18 after the roll off, the hero can make other allies move if they´re whitin 6 of his original position adn end whitin 6, but i saw a fountain guard and ranger that seems to be way off 6" of the original boromir position move at the same time, was it heroic move, then as having charged the other heroic move it´s canceled, then they move? Thanks beforehand and keep up the great work mates
That’s correct. Once Dalamyr had been charged, his Heroic Move was cancelled. Thanks for watching the video!
-Charles
Some fantastic painting on these models. The corsairs are great and that White Tower banner is gorgeous. Are you guys painting these?
Yep, all painted by Charles. You can find more of his work on Instagram @heroichighlights.
-Richard
I like the in-game commentary. But, I think I’d like to see the dice rolls rather than a summary of combat outcomes
Thanks for the feedback! At the moment, we thought to do something different than other batreps by removing a lot of the dice rolling but I'll consider adding it in for the important rolls in the future!
@@intothewestpodcast I do like the pace of your videos. They’re tight. Nicely edited
Great vid, just the sound is really annoying with headphones
Thanks for the feedback! I think I've finally figured out the audio issue. Hopefully will have it fixed going forward. Sorry about that!
Richard
Whilst I appreciate the amazing editing skills you guys poses for me personally the arty farty manner in which this video has been made makes it a hard watch. 3 guys commentating on a toy soldier game is a bit much. I much prefer the film as you play method pretty much all of the other successful content creators use.
Thanks for the feedback! Totally understand where you are coming from, we are just trying to present things in a different way. Sorry it's not your cup of tea, thanks for watching anyway!
