Nice video, thanks. I have the Dreame X40 Master (the X40 Ultra but with a low profile fully plumbed in dock). I’m really glad you awarded marks for the ability to plumb in the dock because that really does take the convenience, the ability to set up a schedule and then ignore it for weeks on end, up to the next level. Another thing I also value with my X40 is the ability to leave the mop pads at the dock. I know you said at the start that pretty much every robot can lift its moping pads now but not all lifts are equal, some only lift maybe 7mm vs others 10mm or more and if you have lots of carpets and rugs that can make a difference between scraping the top of a thick rug or carpet. That’s why for me not having the pads on at all when my X40 is vacuuming is a whole extra level of reassurance vs simply lifting the pads.
Yet another awesome detailed review. Thanks for the insight. I love watching robot vacuum reviews and it's crazy how fast the technology is evolving. Would love to get the robot-friendly mat! Keep up the great work! 😊

I like the d shape design on ecovac as well but iRobot did that with their S9 and it had the same issue with moving chairs around and getting stuck in areas because of the shape that round robots don't have as much of an issue with. But with the extending side brush on my x40, a round robot and corners is no longer a problem.
Excellent, We live in two countries and have very different homes and have had 12 robots over time. iRobots the worst. Now have mostly Ecovacs and one Roborock. Many levels of houses with different flooring. One house mainly high end wood and upstairs wall to wall. Other house some floors wall to wall, rugs and one level high end laminate flooring. What is your top recommendation for carpets (good quality med pile). Was looking as the new Ecovac as 11,000psi. Unfortunately cannot carry vacs from floor to floor..just not possible. Seems the new Eufy will be great for hardwood floors? Actually most fof our floors are combo carpet & wood/highend laminate. two main floors are only wood or high end laminate. No shoes in either home but need to vacuum every day to keep nice, especially carpet.

Good review! I just bought a Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra with Refill & Drainage System for this very reason, it was on sale for $1200. I was also tempted by the new roller models like the Eufy S1 Pro and the 3I S10. They all seem to have different pros and cons, with unlimited drain/fill capability I figure I can just set it to clean the pads every 5-10 minutes. This way it mop with clean pads adn with the dirt detection it should mop clean as good or better than the roller models and clean up to floor edges so... Great review of the robot vacuums overall, but if you can suggest a budget friendly robot vacuum for us will be best 😅. Additional request, I know this question is not related but I just want to catch your attention. I'm in the midst of doing renovation (SG), then I noticed smart switches are not suppose to connect to control DC ceiling fan (quite common these days). Any way to overcome this? Do u mind to cover this for your audience?

Hi Alex, could you review the airbot x40 ultra? I have seen it many times during my online scrolling and wondered if the robot vacuum was considerably good at a low price.
@@whennn far from double haa, but anyway pascal number is not something that you need to care a lot. It's like your phone camera megapixel, it's a number that does not mean a whole lot of things anymore
I went with the Qrevo because I have two pets, but it's navigation has me worried. I'll give it a try, and if it's not up to par with it's price it's going straight back.
Over the years I have had 2 Ecovacs (Omni X1 and T9) and 2 Roborock S7 Max V, I totally hate Ecovacs products, the app is so buggy and both robots have issue with water not dispensing. Have no problems whatsoever from Roborock. I will stick to that, but just like you I am confused with RR so many offerings/line up now. Would you say the dual mops (Qrevo) is better than the vibrating single mop (S8 model).. Thanks
@@mdot9744 100% spinning mops better than vibrating cloth.. the S8 has been around for a pretty long time with no new models while they introduce q Revo line with a bunch of models.. I feel that this itself says a lot of what they think about the S8 series
I absolutely hate cleaning hair from my Dyson. I have not used any robot vacuum extensively. I know the x40 has the one with hair cutting roller, but does the conventional one get ladies hair stuck? I don’t have pets. If it gets stuck easily, then maybe my only option is to get the Dreams with cutter roller or the Roborock?
@@lchang123hair does get trapped at the end of the roller, but it’s much easier to clean compared to my Dyson. I can pull out the part and hair just falls out without me needing to use a knife to slowly cut it out. I may just ship the separate cutter roller.
2 Questions. (1) How is the performance for carpets, I'm anticipating my house to have a fair bit of them. And (2) why Eufy doesn't have a SG store and we have to buy it on Amazon 😂. Lastly, Robot friendly floormat!
@@LokiDaFerret yup i understand where you are coming from, but that will be looking at each of these company's entire product line to talk about which model has which feature
I bought Narwal Freo Z ultra. Have been using it for one week plus. Living with 3 long haired ladies, I used to be cleaning the rolling brush and side brush weekly. Now I don’t have to do it. Would you please advise me which one? I really like Dreame can self clean the tray, but ecovacs cannot, but ecovacs 12800 pa more than dreame
I am still struggling
Please advise me😅
try N30-T3- Ecovacs Pro Omni - both cheapear and have functions of TOP
Hi Alex, could you review the airbot x40 ultra? I have seen it many times during my online scrolling and wondered if the robot vacuum was considerably good at a low price.
i would rather go with the xiaomi x20+ which is cheaper
This is cool. But dreame launched x50 pro a few months ago. What do you think about that one ?
if you need it to climb like a 6cm curb then its a super important situational feature, else I find the L series are more value for money
@@AlexTeo isn't the pascal 19500 ? almost double of the x40 , no ?
@@whennn far from double haa, but anyway pascal number is not something that you need to care a lot. It's like your phone camera megapixel, it's a number that does not mean a whole lot of things anymore
I went with the Qrevo because I have two pets, but it's navigation has me worried. I'll give it a try, and if it's not up to par with it's price it's going straight back.
hope things turn out well!
@@AlexTeo LOL, it had to go back. It's dust bin would fill up, and it wouldn't self empty. So it would just go over easy stuff.
Robot friendly floormat!!
Not me having to rescue my floormats from the roborock or the weird corners they get pushed into...
Any update on the eufy S1?
stopped testing it, eufy develops good products, but can't say the same for the rest of their business function
Lol cant believe im early. I got dreame 30 (which im kinda happy w it), though now thinking if shld change to eufy for future. Robot friendly floormat
@@linpingchow eufy not officially distributed in sg, have to risk with no warranty coverage 😞

Any comment on the Dreame X30 Master vs X40 Master?
i have a video on X30 master and i briefly covered the differences there
Over the years I have had 2 Ecovacs (Omni X1 and T9) and 2 Roborock S7 Max V, I totally hate Ecovacs products, the app is so buggy and both robots have issue with water not dispensing.
Can the head of dreame L20 retract? L series
@@chuachua-hj9zd nope, only this exact model
I see many local creators pushing airbot robot vacuums as well any thoughts?
@@sarpedious it's a sg company, sorry but I don't think our local companies do any R&D which is important for a robot vacuum this kinda device
Either get a dreame model that support the tricut brush or the qrevo curv
Got the dreame. lol. Will see how badly the hair situation annoys me. Will update. Btw, any alternatives for the detergent?
@@SiewpermanAny update so far? 😂
@@lchang123hair does get trapped at the end of the roller, but it’s much easier to clean compared to my Dyson. I can pull out the part and hair just falls out without me needing to use a knife to slowly cut it out. I may just ship the separate cutter roller.

Robot friendly floormat!!
Wow, you do a great job. Subscribed
thanks for the sub!
New sub. Good review. I am waiting on X40 Pro or X50 to be released in Europe. I want a robot that can get under 11 CM. Greetings from Iceland.
wow all the way from iceland! should be released in europe soon, apac is usually ahead for all these new robot vacuum release
Robot friendly floormat.😊
ROBOT FRIENDLY flootmat 🎉
Which is a better choice? Xiaomi X20+ or Roborock Qrevo?
@@marxedes I am about to test the Xiaomi x20+ soon... My early guess is x20+
@ looking forward to that review 👍🏽

Can make a mid range tier robot vacuum cleaner
if have also for next year's models already haa
Robot-friendly floormat
2 Questions. (1) How is the performance for carpets, I'm anticipating my house to have a fair bit of them. And (2) why Eufy doesn't have a SG store and we have to buy it on Amazon 😂. Lastly, Robot friendly floormat!
@@bane1009 for high pile carpets all robots are not good enough actually. I also don't know why eufy/Anker is not interested in the sg market
handsfree and hassle free is the most important to me :D
same!
Roborock does make a model which we can be connected directly to a water supply.
not for this q revo curv right?
@AlexTeo nope. Not the curve. The S8 max Ultra would be the one.
@@LokiDaFerret yup comparing models here, not company. Saros 10R aka G20S ultra also has model that can hookup to water pipes
@@AlexTeoI know. It would have been nice had he mentioned that when he mentioned which models have a water inlet
@@LokiDaFerret yup i understand where you are coming from, but that will be looking at each of these company's entire product line to talk about which model has which feature
At this rate, just wait a few months and they have new features again.
Thn after a few months u gonna say u will wait for next launch, forever don't need to buy Liao 😅😂

Where is Narwal freo z?
if more people ask about it then I will go get it!
I bought Narwal Freo Z ultra. Have been using it for one week plus. Living with 3 long haired ladies, I used to be cleaning the rolling brush and side brush weekly. Now I don’t have to do it. Floor is squeaky clean due to the fantastic mopping. Water usage is high though. Installing the heavy duty floor washing detergent intend for use around the kitchen and dinner table. It’s so low maintenance I intend to get one for my mother at 12/12!
You got the dreame x50?
nope, next year then global launch
