Fun Fact: They won BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR on Genie Music Awards 2022(Korea's one of the biggest music platform).
I mean out of all kpop releases this year, FMR really outshine others MV ngl.
the first scenes that looks like a paintings are actually refferences to the paintings such as 'ophelia'. the whole music video is a refference to 'garden of earthly delights' and it samples 'air on a g string' by bach.

And I will add that Red Velvet actually won the award for best music video at the Genie Music Awards across the entire Korean industry in 2022.

The stories in the red velvet MV'S are breathtaking (for me, feel my rythym's story is the darkest and best produced)
The other videos by RV to watch with great editing are Peek-a-Boo, Psycho, and Dumb Dumb (there are some great, very odd editing shots in Dumb Dumb.) For how old Peek-A-Boo is now , in terms of editing style, that MV is way ahead of the game. Bad Boy is also good but seems a bit retro in its editing style.

It's in Korean, but with English subtitles.
She does a fantastic job of explaining the hidden meanings in the video as well as all the popular art references.
Watched most of it and seeing the references side by side really made the video clearer. It's honestly quite impressive how they can have so many references in such a short video. Red Velvet is way beyond our time ⌚
