Wow - that is a very cool product. Great solution for this boat. I'm heading to the Charleston Boat Show next week to specifically look at the Carolina Skiff JLS18. Hopefully they have one there. The dealer near my house doesn't have any in stock.
Hi Doug, Thanks for watching, Yes so far I really like the Seasucker system. I like being able to customize the location of my rod holders for whatever kind if fishing I am doing at the time. The ability to move cup holds to suit where I am in the boat at the time is an added luxury..lol. I hope you are able to find a boat at the boat show. I lucked out and picked mine up when someone else backed out on one they ordered. So far I am very happy with it.
Boat looks great on the 6 month update. How about a video showing us your routine? Washing, deep cleaning, products you use… I’m hoping to own a 162 one day and could use some pointers!
Will do! I have my one year review coming out next week (actually a little over a year), and I will follow that up with a video of how I clean after a day on the water and the products I use. Thanks for watching. Tight lines 🤙 🎣
Very awsome approach! However, IT DOES HAVE TO BE A COMPLETLEY FLAT AND SMOOTH surface!! The angle of your console where you attached the cup holder was FLAT AND SMOOTH!
@@NorthFloridaSaltwaterFishing The cup holders on your center console? That is angeled (It appears) not curved. Though, I could me mistaken from the "angle" of the camera. I can see however, how a slight curve would work.
Yes, in all of my offshore and kingfish videos, I am using them. Other than the vertical storage rod holders along the side of the center console, they are all I use. The only issue I have ever had was using a #5 planner at 8 knots. That overloaded it. With smaller planners and normal trolling of any kind, they work great. (Drag adjusted properly, of course) I really like the flexibility of being able to relocate them anywhere in the boat depending on my setup that particular day. I hope this helps. Tight lines 🤙 🎣
Hi Chris, Not sure what you mean by when the section comes. I provided a link to there website. They usually have holiday specials this time of year. www.seasucker.com/collections/marine Hope this helps. Tight lines 🎣
Hi Frank, I have the 162 JLS and yes mine does have a slight list to port due to the location of the fuel tank as well. My trim tabs negate that. Even without using the trim tabs a slight adjustment in gear and or passenger location is enough to even out the ride.

I took delivery of a 178JLS in September 2021. I'm getting ideas for mine through your videos! thanks! keep em coming!
Hi Michael,
Very cool! I am glad my videos are helping out. I have several more in the works. Thanks for watching 👍

This video helped me a lot. Thank You. Very cool idea.
You're welcome! 👍
Thank you for watching
This would be good to use for an umbrella! Can move the umbrella around for the kiddos to be comfortable on the boat.
I had not thought about that, but yes it would.
Sea Sucker makes quality accessories, you will be happy with them.
Yeah so far I am pleased with them. Going to give them a real test next week 👍

The rod holders are on flat, smooth surfaces. However, the cup holders are on a slightly curved surface.

Those look great. Are you still happy with these after trolling?
Yes, 2 1/2 years and still look and work great.
Have you tried trolling with the rod holder yet? If so how did it do ?

I have a 2020 23LS and just can’t drill holes in my boat 😢 so this is a great ideal. Thanks again
What radio and fish finder are you using?
Hi Wendell,
My radio is an Icom IC-M424G GPS VHF and my bottom machine is a Simrad Go 9.

What's the price point of that rod holder when the section comes

I have 178 JLS with a list to port size because the gas tank is left of center of the boat. do you have the same issue with the 182 JLS?

I have the 162 JLS and yes mine does have a slight list to port due to the location of the fuel tank as well. My trim tabs negate that. Even without using the trim tabs a slight adjustment in gear and or passenger location is enough to even out the ride.
