    Great camera Leica M3, which set a standard for usability and versatility in 35mm rangefinder cameras. I bought one in 2016 and just marvel at how it performs. Whether i use a Leitz DR Summicron or Voigtlander 50mm Nokton lens, the results just blow me away. Pricing for Leica is higher but craftsmanship & lenses command it. Just wish film makers offered 35mm color reversal film for less $. Amazing brand in camera history. ❤❤😊

    Thanks for sharing Steven!
    My favorite videos from you are where you review old film cameras and lenses, talk about the history of the lens/camera and then share your personal experiences with them. Please do more of these videos.
    My favorites are your series about the Leica m3 and the f3. Because of you I acquired both of those cameras and enjoy them very much.

    Another excellent video Steven, thanks! The shot at 3:13 is my favorite, it makes me want to go out and shoot.
    Last February I was lucky enough to be able to buy a 35mm f2.8 Summaron (with goggles). It has quickly become my most used lens. Not quite as legendary as the 8-elements, but still a very special lens.

    I owned two M3's in the seventies in college; I had the 35mm Summicron with the 'eyes', but my favorite lens was the collapsible 90mm f4, just a perfect lens for portraiture. I had the 90mm Elmarit for my Leicaflex SL at the same time but it was too sharp if that makes sense!

    Looks like loading film on an M3 is much different than (and slightly more difficult) on an M6. I did not know that. I am a new Leica Film photographer (though a veteran Leica Digital photographer). ON my M6 TTl, I just have to place the film into the rotating spool.

      Yes it's complicated a bit on M3 :)

    Hi Steven, I have been binge watching your videos. Especially the F3 and F4 videos, and thanks to those videos and your reviews and thoughts about the cameras. Within the span of a month, I acquired both F3 and F4 for myself. 😂 Phenomenal cameras. Now I'm also looking at the Leica M3 or M6. But, I know nothing about rangefinders. Which camera would you recommend? What kind of lenses would be nice for the street photography you are doing? Is rangefinders very different from SLRs in terms of the photos/usage? Thanks!

    • @StevenTanno
      @StevenTanno  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Due to the different observation methods, the rangefinder camera will take different photos :)). M6 has a wider range of adaptation than M3

    Hello I’m jacky nice to meet you, I actually concern about do I need to get 8 element, because I already have summaron 35mm f2.8 , and what the difference is ?, please 🙏🏻 can your give me some advice ?

    • @StevenTanno
      @StevenTanno  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jacky, 8 element is a most unique fantastic lens in Leica. But I have not used Summaron 35/2.8 so I can't tell the difference between them.

    您是用何種HC-110的配比和時間
    來沖洗 Kodak 5222
    謝謝

    • @StevenTanno
      @StevenTanno  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      從iso400-3200,我都是用HC-110 B稀釋,1+31。顯影6:30,試過1+63但是完全無精打采的樣子,1+31是最佳的稀釋比例。另外,如果按iso250拍攝的話,我是用D-96沖洗的。
